Mary was so incredible to work with! We worked with Mary for our engagement photos and wedding day. Mary got to know my husband and I and captured photos that really felt like us. Neither of us naturally love being in front of the camera and Mary worked to bring us out of our shell. We couldn’t be happier with the way our engagement photos turned out and wedding sneak peaks!

LOVE by Sergirée

My name is Sergio. My wife Desirée and I run LOVE by Sergirée together out of Los Angeles. I have been behind a camera for 15 years and weddings are where I do my best work. I shoot every wedding personally and edit every gallery myself, so what you see in our portfolio is exactly what you get. Desirée leads everything you cannot see, from the first email to the final album. Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony or a celebration with a full guest list, our approach is the same. Be present. Be honest. Let the moment unfold.

From the initial communication all the way to the delivery of the photos, Sergirée were great to work with. They were super friendly, patient, and flexible with the entire process. During my actual wedding/celebrations, Sergio just had a chill and approachable demeanor about him that I really appreciated. Our wedding wasn't the most structured, so I was worried about getting the "right" shots, but Sergio was great at guiding for poses, and just always at the right place at the right time to catch so many beautiful moments. Also, they work super fast! We received our highlight shots and full gallery very quickly. Book them!!

Hobbyist coffee brewer, professional nap taker, and sucker for raw moments and authentic emotions. Dedicated to documenting the beautiful moments as they unfold. Based in Southern California & available worldwide.

From start to finish, Yin was so much more than just our photographer, he truly felt like a friend. From our engagement photos to our wedding day and everything in between, he was there every step of the way. He went above and beyond, from venue meetups to thoughtful location scouting, making us feel completely supported and at ease throughout the entire process. His co-shooter, Nika, was equally incredible—professional, kind, and such a calming presence on the day. Together, they made the entire experience feel effortless and fun, while still capturing every meaningful moment so beautifully. Honestly, Yin doesn’t even need reviews (his work speaks for itself) but we feel so grateful to have worked with someone so talented, genuine, and invested in telling our story. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to document such an important chapter of our lives.

I took up photography at the ripe age of 11 with a Polaroid I borrowed from an aunt. It quickly became my sketchbook as I worked to capture stills of the world and people around me. Those images have continued to pay emotional dividends throughout my life, helping me better understand what I have now come to see through a new scope. They are grounding, melancholic, funny and beautiful. Some of my most cherished possessions.

If you are looking for a photographer in San Diego, look no further than Daniel. We first worked with him for our engagement photos and knew immediately we had to book him for our wedding. Daniel is incredibly friendly and professional, but what we loved most was his eye for candid moments. He captured the true essence of our day and all the little things that made it special. We are completely in love with our photos! One of the highlights was his film photography option—the care package he sent with the negatives, prints, and a handwritten card was such a beautiful, personal touch. It’s clear he truly cares about his clients. Working with him was an amazing experience from start to finish, and being able to book our videographer through him made the entire process seamless. If you are in the Southern California area, you will not be disappointed! Thank you so much, Daniel, for giving us memories that we will cherish for a lifetime.

We feel so incredibly lucky to have had Tom Keene of LA Digital Photo photograph our wedding at the California Club in Los Angeles. He stepped in on very short notice, yet somehow still managed to exceed every expectation we had. From the moment he arrived, Tom brought a calm, professional, and joyful presence to the day. He guided us through poses effortlessly, was impressively efficient with our (very large and lively!) family group photos, and managed to capture the energy and emotion of the entire afternoon so beautifully. Everything felt seamless and stress-free in his hands—something every couple hopes for on their wedding day. One of the most special moments of the day was a quiet conversation we shared with Tom on the patio before dinner. That simple, grounding exchange stood out to us—and the photo he took in that moment is one we’ll definitely be framing. It was such a meaningful pause amid the excitement, and his warmth made it even more memorable. And then there were the sneak peek photos—delivered that same night! We were blown away by how stunning they turned out. If those were just the previews, we can't wait to see the full gallery. Tom went above and beyond in every way, and we’re genuinely so grateful he was a part of such an important day in our lives. We wholeheartedly recommend him to any couple looking for a talented, professional, and truly thoughtful wedding photographer. —Sienna & Stephen

I’m Mysi (pronounced, boringly, “Missy”)! I’ve been at this thing for 12 years and I keep falling more and more in love with it all. Give me intimate micro-weddings, quirky dive bar weddings, raucous South Asian weddings... my team and I absolutely thrive in chaos and emotion. My specialty is catching the moments and those tiny moments in between. ✨✨✨

Awarded Best of Zola
We were nervous when it came to hiring a photographer, because after the whirlwind of the day, photos are one of the only things you get to keep once the day is over that help you relive the moments. We had heard so many horror stories and knew it was one of the most important decisions we were going to make. But thankfully, hiring Mysi was truly one of the BEST DECISIONS we made for our wedding. From the very beginning, she was intentional, thoughtful, and so easy to work with. She made it a priority to meet with us in person—not just to talk logistics, but to get a feel for how we interact with each other. She wanted to understand our dynamic so she could best capture authentic, candid moments on the day. That personal touch meant a lot to us. She even took the time to drive up to our venue (a private residence) in advance to scout out the space. Watching her creativity come to life as she walked through the house and surrounding areas was such a fun and reassuring moment—we knew we were in great hands. We didn’t want just traditional posed photos; we wanted a mix of candid, artistic, and emotionally rich shots that told the full story of the day. She completely delivered. The final gallery was more beautiful than we could’ve imagined—natural, warm, and full of moments we didn’t even realize she had caught. We showed a few of the preview photos to people who didn't attend the wedding, and they all had nothing but compliments for how stunning the photos were. It's only been a few months, but we can't stop looking at the photos. They bring us back to the exact moment in time they were taken and we are able to relive the memories. Literally the only negative is that we can't figure out what our favorites are because they are all that great! We’re beyond grateful and couldn’t recommend Mysi more highly. If you want a photographer who truly sees you and puts her heart into every frame, she’s the one.

  • Starts at $3,700
  • Serves Lawndale, CA

Stephanie Hanno Photography specializes in fine art wedding photography with a documentary and photojournalistic approach. Southern California based but travels worldwide. Capturing your special moments to last a lifetime.

I messaged Stephanie a couple weeks before my proposal and I can tell just by direct messaging how helpful she would be. She was very supportive in my idea and also added some great ideas of her own. I see people often talk about how photographers could’ve done better or they wish how their photographer would’ve done this or that. With Stephanie my fiancé and I were able to come out with everything we dreamed of and more. She took the perfect amount of initiative through the whole process. I can speak for both my fiancé and I when I say we were blown away by not only the quality of the actual photos but just how unique they were. We fell in love with so many of them it was the hardest thing to try not to post every single one. I’m looking forward to working with her again on future family photos, events and most importantly memorable moments.

We vetted quite a few wedding photographers before deciding on Jordan. We were really impressed from day one. He worked with us on customizing our package to meet what we desired as far as style of pictures, time frame, etc. He was punctual at all our checkpoints and early to the venue. He hadn’t been to our venue before and what was impressive was he did some recon work to get a better vision on where to do a significant portion of our portrait shoot prior to the wedding. The day was seamless, it would’ve been even more perfect if the wind and weather cooperated but he and his second photographer worked through it.

While some photographers emphasize their gear or trendy post-processing, I take pride in subject-photographer interaction - the relation I build with clients, picking up on nuances in pose and expression while we shoot, anticipating the viewers' response - because ultimately, that's how photographs that matter to us are created. I'm a native New Yorker who found myself relocating to Los Angeles and making it my home. Wherever you'd like to have your wedding, it would be my pleasure to be your photographer.

We loved working with Stephen! He was professional and accommodating throughout the whole process of working with him. One of the most special things that Stephen has a talent for is taking candid photos and telling the story of the day through his photos. He captured so many unposed moments of people throughout the whole wedding day. We love seeing those real moments. From visibly being able to see the fun people were having to the joy that was felt to the dance moves and everything in between. We are happy with how all our photos turned out and would definitely recommend him!

Gabbie Burseth Photo
Rating: 5.0 (14 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $7,200
  • Serves Lawndale, CA

Gabbie Burseth grew up documenting everything and saving mementos in empty Christmas boxes. After studying at the Grady School of Journalism at the University of Georgia, she discovered an affinity for weddings and their accompanying treasures. Her philosophy as a wedding photographer is to observe with as little interference as possible — no faking it, no do-overs, no “for the camera”. Her biggest desire is for couples to be present at their wedding, not stuck in a photoshoot. Her work is punctuated by rich and vibrant color, the timeless quality of analog film, and a sense of humor found in fleeting moments.

Awarded Best of Zola
The professionalism, raw talent, and sweet demeanor are only a few of the exquisite gifts Gabbie offers. If you are looking for a photographer who is the complete package, look no further. When selecting wedding vendors, every blog post will tell you that choosing your photographer is one of the most important (if not the most important). However, little information is provided after that tidbit, which can be daunting for an excited (albeit overwhelmed) bride who wants every detail of their wedding to be perfect. Sean, my now husband, and I had selected our venue, The 1909 in Topanga Canyon, CA., and our coordinator, Allison, with West Events LA, provided us with a list of her preferred vendors -- insert us coming across Gabbie. I remember going to her website, scrolling through her work, and being enamored with how each photo captured a different emotion and feeling. We both immediately knew that from looking at her work alone, we wanted our photos to look and feel the same. After sending an inquiry and coordinating a call, Gabbie & I spoke on the phone for close to an hour about what we had in mind for our wedding, and I remember it all clicking when Gabbie described her work as "documentary" style. Sean and I knew we didn't want a videographer for our wedding, so Gabbie's techniques and overall vision aligned perfectly with what Sean and I wanted. We also opted to do a round of engagement photos with Gabbie 5 months before our wedding, where she came into our home to take photos of us in our most comfortable and natural state (chasing our dogs around the yard) and then for a shoot at a local winery that we love to go to. Not only did we have such a fun and great experience, but we also felt so comfortable and relaxed with Gabbie. We almost forgot we were there to have our photos taken! We received the gallery back shortly after and were so thrilled. Fast-forward to our wedding, we had hired Gabbie a second shooter for 8 hours. They met us at the venue for the final getting-ready details around 1 pm and stayed through to a good portion of the dance floor, around 9 pm. They arrived promptly and were even extra helpful with Sean when getting his suit on! While those details may seem minor to some, it was that unique care and attention from both Gabbie and her second shooter that made Sean & I, and all of our guests, feel so beautiful and confident to be themselves. When Sean and I got our gallery back, we spent a solid three hours scrolling through every captured moment, laughing, crying, and squealing with excitement. I am not exaggerating when I say that seeing the captured images and how Gabbie so beautifully arranged them in the album was purely magic. Any time we go through the album, we genuinely feel transported back to that day, and there is no doubt in my mind it is because of Gabbie's pure mastery of her craft. As part of her thorough questionnaire, one of the questions was what percentage of digital-to-film prints we would like, and for ours, we chose 50:50. I'm so glad we opted for film, and I almost wish we had had more because these photos are indeed what dreams are made of. The icing on the cake, Gabbie also wrote us an adorable card after the wedding, which included 3 of the film prints. Sean & I will forever be grateful to Gabbie for her work and friendship. We love you!!

Jess Onesto is an absolute dream to work with! If you are looking for a wedding photographer who will make you feel completely comfortable and capture the most beautiful, authentic moments, look no further. My husband and I have always felt awkward when we have to pose for professional photos. Jess completely changed that experience for us. She seriously made me feel like I was a model throughout my entire wedding weekend. She has this innate ability to put everyone at ease and guide you so naturally that you forget you are even being photographed. Her direction feels effortless, and somehow she captures these genuine, intimate moments. We are absolutely obsessed with all of the photos we have seen thus far (I have included some here)! Every single shot is stunning, and our entire family has been raving about them non-stop. Throughout the wedding weekend, we received so many compliments from our guests about how much they loved Jess and her warm presence. She truly became part of our celebration. I'm passionate about capturing the essence of your relationship, whether intimate, goofy, quirky, affectionate, and everything in between. I'm known for my friendliness and light-hearted personality! I help make shoots feel very comfortable, candid, fun, and genuine to each relationship.

We can’t begin without saying how amazing Kelsey and her team are! They are truly good at what they do. I’m normally really shy and awkward in front of a camera, but they made the experience so fun and comfortable. They knew the best angles and helped with our poses and told us where to go. The photos turned out so candid and beautiful! We cannot get over them and we got so many compliments! We are so happy that we chose Kelsey and her team for our engagement shoot and wedding photos. These types of moments are once in a lifetime and you don’t want to miss anything good and that’s why we’re so grateful that they captured everything for us. We trust them so much. We already want Kelsey and her team to shoot for our one year anniversary!

Where to begin? As a photographer myself, I thought I'd have a really hard time choosing a wedding photographer, but when I saw Nate and Amanda's work, my search was over. If you're having trouble choosing a photographer/videographer, you can stop here. Nate and his second shooter, Ashley were an absolute dream to work with. They made us so comfortable and actually helped in ways I wasn't expecting. They kept us on time so we didn't miss any important moments but still managed to capture everything we wanted with ease. They simultaneously grabbed video while shooting photos without interruption. Nate is creative and will work with you to figure out the best settings and ways to capture who you are as a couple and document the day so you never forget it. Cannot thank The Shalom Imaginative enough for their creative collaboration and attention to detail!

With over 24 years of experience behind the lens, Sam Sean Photography offers timeless, story-driven images that capture life’s most meaningful moments. Specializing in family portraits, weddings, and group photography, I’m passionate about creating natural, heartfelt images that reflect each client’s unique story. I began my career at Joey Ikemoto Photography Studio as a lead photographer, where I also managed the studio’s website and SEO strategy. That experience shaped my commitment to quality, client care, and technical excellence.

Having worked in the events industry for over a decade, I engaged with dozens of photographers with varying styles and approaches. When it came to my wedding, I saw Sam's work and knew immediately that he was going to be able to deliver the aesthetic my husband and I wished for. What I didn't know until the day of, was that he was such a delight to work with. He made me and my bridesmaids feel beautiful, capturing natural and authentic moments. He was present without being intrusive, and he somehow captured *every* single shot perfectly. I had a standard shot list like most brides do, but as things began to happen organically - with my guests, the food, sunset, the bar, people starting to dance - Sam got it all on camera. My husband and I absolutely treasure our wedding photos and can confidently say that hiring Sam was one of the best decisions we made. If you're here on Zola and you have a wedding planning checklist that is pages long, please take one thing off your list and just call Sam. He's delightful, his work is powerful, and he'll capture you and your partner exactly how you'd like to be remembered on your wedding day.
