Established in the Fall of 2011 with a purpose in mind: to capture the most important moments of your life. Our specialization is in weddings along with candid, authentic portraiture. We are an inclusive team of photographers, videographers, and content creators who enjoy capturing the important moments & the ones in-between. We are always ready for adventure & we have a goal to inspire everyone we connect with to love fiercely & to be passionate about their beautiful lives. The answer is simple: you--your individuality as a couple. What does your partner do that makes you laugh? What do they do on the daily that makes you love them even more? At the end of the day, those things are all that really matter. The pictures we take are what you will look at years from now to remember this moment in time. We're not just photographers; we're here to help this season be less stressful and give you more time to spend with the one you love.     Love Bomb

    I've had the honor of working with Rachel on two weddings, once as the coordinator and the other as the officiant. As a queer vendor, it is super important to me (and my clients) to support vendors in the community. Not only is Rachel one of the most talented photographers I've ever met, she is also an absolute joy to work with. 10/10. No notes. Hire her.

    A Perfect Day!

    Papillon Visuals was the perfect choice for our engagement photoshoot. From the moment we first spoke with Rachel, her communication was efficient, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, which immediately put us at ease. On the day of our engagement, Rachel and Sam’s warm and friendly presence made us feel comfortable doing our first photoshoot together. We loved their creative ideas and compositions, and they were mindful of the time, capturing so many beautiful, dreamy moments.     WLW Wedding

    Rachel and her team made us feel so comfortable and special - I would recommend Papillon to anyone! By booking the engagement shoot, we were able to get used to being professionally photographed and get to know our photographer Courtney better. Leading up to wedding day, Rachel was so communicative and organized with the timeline that day-of was a breeze! When we got the photos back, my wife and I couldn't be happier with the results.

We can't wait to meet you! Contact us through Zola and we'll get you the info you need. From there, we will get the process started! In order to book us for your date, we'll need to know how long you need us for and any other add-ons you would like to get. If you would like, we can discuss details on the phone. Then we'll send over a personalized contract for you to sign.
You'll receive your beautiful memories within 8 weeks of your wedding date. However, we also offer a "sneak peek gallery" where you will get 10-20 preview photos within a week after your special day! We know just how badly you want to post your wedding photos on Instagram, and who are we to make you wait?
Rest assured we edit your main gallery of photos! We want every image you receive to be the best it possibly can be. We spend hours pouring over your images and truly edit them with you in mind. If you want all of your unedited pictures, you are welcome to purchase the RAWs from us. If you are interested in this, let us know!
We have two options for you. 1. A beautiful online gallery where the link is dropped straight into your inbox. These images are all high resolution (meaning you can blow them up literally a big as your wall!) 2. A high res-thumb drive sent by mail (it's an easy way to store your pictures and it comes in the cutest little package). You'll also receive the online gallery in your inbox with this.
One of my favorite parts of the photo process is helping you order your prints and album through your online gallery. We have some incredible options available for you and it is very easy to use. The products you can order are done professionally by very talented companies who specialize in doing their job well. We ask that all clients order their products with us and it is in our photo contract.
We travel all over! The furthest we've been so far is Norway in 2018. Contact us to learn more about our travel rates! We'll do a custom quote for you based on your budget if possible.
8 hours is the average time we are booked for and it always works out well! With this time frame, it normally allows us to really capture every moment without anyone feeling rushed. BUT every wedding is different and we are always open to chat with you to help figure out what's best for your specific day.
Other than a list for family photos, we won't need a shot list. We like to document the day as it happens naturally, and we make it our job to capture every important detail that we see. We do really love it when you make a Pinterest board of ideas for us though! Additionally, if there is a shot you just know you can't live without, let me know during our timeline meeting.
The first third of your total package is due at the time of booking. This secures your wedding date with us and is non-refundable. The final two thirds are due four weeks before your wedding. We take multiple different payment methods for weddings and we'll let you know what they are! If you have to reschedule your wedding date because of COVID, we have new policies in place to help you.
Nothing makes us happier than to see our work being shared by YOU! Our day has been made countless times just by going on Instagram only to find that we have been tagged in a post by our client with their pictures along with a few kind words! Just be sure to never edit them (crop or filter, etc.) in any way and always give us photo credit! (*this is required legally per our photography contract)
This is only an option in certain circumstances. It is very rare that we can stay past the time that was agreed upon originally. Let your lead wedding or session photographer know as soon as you know and they will discuss this with their assistant photographer to make sure that it works for all involved (and that we don't have a prior planned engagement to get to).
Not at this time, but we can refer you to some talented people that we trust will do a good job for you. It is worth being picky in who you choose for this vendor because they need to be willing to work well with us to make your day go as smoothly as possible!
We do! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 10 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in so you and I can work together to help you find the perfect replacement.
