Our Most Intimate Setting

The Birchwood Room is a secluded, intimate venue surrounded by century-old weeping willows and a stunning natural waterfall. Ceremonies take place on a serene grass meadow with a limestone waterfall as the backdrop, creating a truly enchanting setting. Guests transition to the reception area, where oak trees and private outdoor patios adorned with twinkling lights set the scene for an unforgettable evening including dining alfresco under the stars.

Sunset ceremonies on the sweeping deck at the oaks room is a magical experience

Backdropped by natural stone waterfalls and set apart by a symbolic bridge, you will walk across a calming pond to begin your ceremony. If quiet elegance is what you desire this location is your picture perfect. Across the pond from your ceremony site is your reception area with natural light filtering from the 360 degree French oak doors. Inside, gather under exposed beams, skylights, and rustic iron chandeliers.

The Redwood Room

The Redwood room is the most historic site on Calamigos ranch. Rustic charm flows from the 100-year-old weeping willows and the growing vines of our Malibu wine country. The oak trees, soothing waterfalls, and flagstone pathways all create an endearing environment. Guests are seated on garden chairs of the ceremony lawn and are shaded by a canopy of redwoods and eucalyptus trees. Inside the lodge, you are welcomed by a natural stone fireplace greeting your friends & family with its warmth.

    Do Not Book This Venue

    This venue delivered an exceptionally poor experience and should be avoided for important events. The wedding on August 16, 2025, was marked by severe disorganization, inadequate staffing, poor communication, and a complete lack of leadership. Basic setup details were incorrect, timelines were repeatedly disrupted, and vendors were forced to manage tasks that should have been handled by the venue. Bar service was understaffed and restrictive, valet service was confusing and unsafe due to poor lighting, restrooms were not maintained, and guests including the couple and their parents were denied drinks or never received cake. Staff behavior was frequently rude or dismissive, personal property went missing, and critical event details were not communicated to the on-site captain, who lacked authority and preparation. A last minute handoff to new management without proper oversight compounded these failures, and attempts to reach management during the event went unanswered. This venue demonstrated a systemic lack of professionalism and preparedness, resulting in a negative impact on a once-in-a-lifetime event. I would strongly recommend not booking this location.

Ceremonies typically begin at 5:30 PM or 6:00 PM, depending on the venue. Events must conclude by 11:30 PM, with music and bar service ending at 11:00 PM.
Yes, you may select outside vendors for services such as photography, floral design, cake, and coordination. All vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance, and additional setup policies may apply. If you’d like to bring in outside catering for your main entrée, please inquire about our Rental Only package.
Our Wedding Package includes site rental, staffing, a plated salad and entrée with bread service, three hours of Basic Bar service with tableside wine, and all-night self-serve refreshments. For more details, please visit our Weddings page.

Yes. DJs, string musicians, and amplified bands are welcome. Outdoor background music is allowed at a lower volume during your ceremony and cocktail hour. The reception’s entertainment must be indoors, and we’ll provide guidelines and require a signed sound agreement.
We currently do not host after-parties on-site, but we’re happy to recommend nearby venues for late-night fun.
Candles are permitted if fully enclosed in glass with at least two inches of clearance above the flame. We do not allow hot or cold sparklers due to safety concerns, and confetti is prohibited to protect our environment and local wildlife.
Our packages include 60” round tables, and we have a limited number of 72” rounds available for an additional fee. If you prefer other table styles, they can be rented along with coordinating linens.
We’re a venue and catering company and minimally require a day-of coordinator. We strongly recommend partnering with a professional planner to ensure a seamless experience leading up to and on your wedding day.
