Communication with Rio Hondo by Wedgewood Weddings was always on point, whether by texting, email or phone call. If we sent them a message after hours, they would get back to us the next day. They gave us a lot of flexibility with the event space, allowing us to move things around and add our own personal touches without any problems. The Wedgewood team made sure that we had our special touches and that each guest was enjoying their experience. They also went out of their way to make our bridal party feel special as well. Located on the waterfront in Redondo Beach, Bluewater Grill is the perfect location for your wedding festivities. Our private rooms have beautiful harbor views and we would love to help you plan your bridal shower, rehearsal dinner or wedding reception.

Bluewater Grill in Redondo Beach was the perfect venue for our wedding! We used the downstairs patio for our cocktail hour and the upstairs Avalon room for our reception. From the moment we started working with Vida, their venue coordinator, we knew we were in great hands. Vida was incredibly responsive, organized, and paid close attention to every detail to ensure our day went off without a hitch. She was so flexible and went above and beyond to help us execute all the details of our vision, making the entire planning process much less stressful. The value we received for the money was unbeatable - the high ceilings and stunning views of the sunset from the windows created such a beautiful, nautical ambiance. For smaller weddings (we had about 90 guests), we could not recommend Bluewater Grill more highly.

I loved working with Robin at the Sonesta Hotel. She was an excellent event manager who cared for all our needs and was very accommodating. I had one problem that had nothing to do with Robin or the Sonesta: Someone on the wedding coordinator's staff stole my wallet during the event. We hired Koral, the wedding coordinator, which was our responsibility. Overall, it was a beautiful venue with excellent hotel staff. I would recommend the Sonesta 100%.

Made by Meg is proud to continue the legacy of the historic La Venta Inn nestled in the hills of Palos Verdes Estates. La Venta Inn has enjoyed a full, rich history on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. We got married at La Venta Inn in September 2024 and it was truly everything we could have asked for. The centerpiece here, and a large part of why we chose this venue, is the spectacular view overlooking the ocean which made for such beautiful pictures. Besides the natural beauty of the area, the building itself is a historic villa which felt cozy and intimate and yet comfortably accommodated our guest count of 100. Savannah was our contact person and was very responsive to emails, including some last minute seating changes we had in the weeks leading up to the wedding La Venta works exclusively with Made by Meg for catering - Kat was our contact person and was fantastic to work with. Note that they do not allow outside food vendors, but they were able to accommodate some of our special requests such as requests to source a specific brand of ice cream so that we could make our wedding unique to us. We got so many compliments from our guests on how delicious the food was. The other exclusive vendor that they are contracted with is Vox DJs. This is the only vendor that we had a less than stellar experience with. They performed their duties fine on the day of the wedding, with the exception of forgetting to set up the dance lights we had paid for, but the communication and planning leading up the wedding did not go as smoothly as I hoped, and I wish that we had the flexibility to go with a DJ company of our own choosing. However I understand the restrictions given that La Venta is a historic site. Overall, our wedding at La Venta was memorable, beautiful, and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a gorgeous venue with spectacular ceremony views. With a venue like this, you really only need a good florist (we used Flowernoon Shop) and a talented photographer (June Choi Photography) to bring out the natural beauty of the venue - you really don't need a lot of other rentals, draping, etc. We are so happy we had our wedding here!

Playa Studios is the ultimate wedding venue and acts as the perfect template for your big day. Tucked away at the end of a cul de sac, which keeps your event private to just you and your wedding guests, the venue is incredibly spacious with tall ceilings and tons of striking modern design elements that provide that initial "wow factor" right as you enter. We were also provided a list of modern furniture items that we could use for our layouts, including tables, chairs, couches and planters. The venue is incredibly spacious and provides ample room to be creative with your floor plan and inject any personal touches that you may want for your wedding. The Playa Studios team are true professionals, and they are incredibly easy to coordinate with. The venue is perfect for those who have specific food / drink / vendor choices in mind as well. While guests were in the foyer for cocktail hour, the team was able to seamlessly and silently flip the main hall from the ceremony to the reception while simultaneously working with our vendors to make sure everything was configured quickly and correctly. Given that Playa Studios is used also for commercials and concerts, the sound system installed throughout the venue is top-notch, and the lighting package is an incredible option as well. Music was loud and crisp in all parts of the venue throughout the night - even during the flip between ceremony and reception - and the lighting transformed the ceremony space into something that felt completely new for the reception. Overall, we were extremely thrilled with how our wedding turned out. We received nothing but positive feedback from our friends and family, with many compliments targeted towards how beautiful and modern the venue looked. Would highly recommend going with Playa Studios for your big day.

My family selected Jamaica Bay Inn because it was next to a small beach cove accessible from the Bermuda banquet room. We gathered for a Celebration of Life event and wanted to fly kites in memory of our beloved that passed away. Sayyora the Catering Manager was extremely efficient and flexible with the menu and my special request. Christina and the banquest staff were amazing. Christina had to leave the room to answer another clients questions and made sure another banquet person was in the room until she returned. The food was hot and plentiful. We selected the Buffet Pasta Station (1 with chicken and 1 with shrimp), baby greens salad, delicious fresh fruit. Accomodations were made for my request for a gluten free menu. I was in the hospitality business for 19 years for major hotels as a Catering Manger and Covention Services Manager and my critical eye can be hard to please. But I must say that the attention to detail was above and beyond. I would recommend Jamacia Bay at every opportunity. My family wants to return for a family reunion or just a family luncheon. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Velaslavasay Panorama

5.0

Los Angeles, CA
  • Up to 75 guests
  • Raw space
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $1,800

The Velaslavasay Panorama is housed in the Union Theatre, a historic neighborhood cinema built in 1910 with a neon marquee, enchanting garden, vintage theatre space and 360-degree painted panorama viewing hall. Set in the historic West Adams District near Downtown LA, a visit to our panorama is complimented by a stroll through the Garden and Grounds reminiscent of the great 19th century pleasure gardens, featuring lush tropical plantings, a wide variety of succulents, a misting and meditation grotto, and a copper-roofed gazebo for reading and reflection. We are using Zola to promote our site as a rental venue for weddings and private events. To learn more, visit rental[dot]panoramaonview[dot]org and to ask questions or schedule a tour, contact event[at]panoramaonview[dot]org.

If what you are seeking is a truly magical venue, look no further than the Velaslavasay Panorama. My wife and I did not want to have the typical hotel conference hall wedding. We wanted to show our family from outside of LA a place that was meaningful to us and at the same time still impress our friends from LA. The Panorama is genuinely extraordinary, with several different areas that can be arranged to suit your celebration. Our guest list was about 70 people and it was the perfect size. We opted to have our main ceremony in the historic theatre, our cocktail reception with our bartender in the lush garden, our musician play in the gazebo, and our dinner in the large area outside the moon gate. This made it easy for pick ups and drop offs with our catering and table / chair / bar rental. Sara and Ruby from the Panorama were absolutely lovely to deal with and helped considerably with logistics before, during, and after the event. Our photographer loved all of the different backdrops possible and everyone kept mentioning how wonderful the venue was. Check it out, I'm sure you will be absolutely stunned by the Panorama.
