“Where do I even begin--how about with how hard it was to pick ONLY ten photos to include with this review?!? When we purchased Yellow Paddle's 1.5 photographer package, I was already over the moon. Having a second shooter, even for part of the day, was something I never dreamed I could afford, and it was so exciting to find a photography vendor where the pricing was so readily available. It's almost impossible to quantify the ways that Lan and Mike contributed to our day, and I am still in shock at how much I paid for how much we got. Yellow Paddle let us peruse all of their available photographers for our wedding date, and aside from how much we loved Lan's portfolio, there was also so much in his biography that resonated with us as a couple. From the moment we met Lan at our (incredibly well-priced) engagement session, we knew we had hit the nail on the head. Talking to him was easy, we shared tons of common interests, and despite both feeling very awkward in front of a camera, Lan captured our love and excitement with such intimacy and authenticity. Because of the connection we built at our engagement session, welcoming Lan into our getting-ready spaces was much more like greeting an old friend than meeting a wedding vendor. We didn't get to choose our second shooter with the 1.5 photographer package, but Mike was also an invaluable part of our day. My husband mentions frequently that Mike helped put him at ease just before our first look photos when he was feeling his most nervous. Lan and Mike worked well with each other, too; there wasn't any tension or stepping on each other's toes. When we got our gallery back (far sooner than the expected delivery date), we were in absolute awe. Lan and Mike delivered far above and beyond what we had ever dreamed of receiving when we started planning our wedding, and frankly above and beyond what we even expected based on Yellow Paddle's pricing/package details. From the staged family photos and accessory shots to the candids of guests and private moments between my husband and me, Lan and Mike truly captured the warmth, intimacy, love, and connection we felt throughout our special day. “Spruce Mountain was the best venue we could have possibly chosen. My fiancé was sold from the pictures online and when we toured, I spent the whole time just breathless. We were on the upper ranch with the ceremony on Trey's Vista (stunning), cocktail hour in the Spruce Room, and reception in the Ponderosa Room. Communication with them was easy, Tara was our representative and she happily answered all of our questions and communicated seamlessly without overloading our inbox. She even provided me with a preferred vendors list of vendors they have worked with before which created a great starting place for finding vendors. I was a bit skeptical of their requirement of a Day of Coordinator, but I am so thankful that they required it. We didn't have to lift a finger on the wedding day, I wasn't being asked a million questions, it was fantastic. On the wedding day, our property manager came to introduce herself and told us where to find her if we needed her, there was music playing on the TV in the bridal suite, everything was so clean and perfectly set up to start the day. All of our guests could not stop raving about the venue - the views at the ceremony site, having separate spaces for each part of the day, the mix of indoor and outdoor space for the cocktail hour and reception, and so many said "this sets my bar so high for weddings". If I could do my wedding all over again, I would book Spruce with no hesitation!!”

“I have to admit, I was hesitant to go with Petal Thyme because they don’t have a big online/social media presence but I’m so glad I trusted the positive Zola reviews and pulled the trigger. We gave Emma and Haley pretty much free rein over the florals for our wedding. I had some inspo photos and answered their questions, but pretty much the only concrete instructions I gave were that the color palate should be “rainbow but not like ROYGBIV” and that the flowers should be as local as possible, preferably from within 500 miles of Arizona. Even though I didn’t have a clear vision, the flowers were very important to me and I wanted a lot. We wanted sustainable flowers and they made sure to not use any floral foam and that the flowers went to good homes after the ceremony, in addition to sourcing the flowers locally like we asked. My only piece of feedback is that they could be a little more prompt to respond to emails, but it was no big deal. I never had to follow up or anything, just be patient! They absolutely made my floral dreams come to life, and within my budget too! I am so grateful for Petal Thyme and all the work they did to make our wedding so special.”

“If I could describe my experience working with Amanda and the dessert selection she helped us pick in one word, I would say WOW! She truly is a master at her craft and the desserts did not disappoint! My now husband and I decided on a small two-tiered wedding cake with a wide variety of desserts, all which Amanda offered. From raspberry Linzer cookies and cannoli to key lime mousse cups and red velvet mini cupcakes, we had something that would appeal to every guest. Amanda even offers vegan options, which was great for our guests with dietary restrictions. And let me say that we received so many compliments on the dessert selections! My absolute favorite was the wedding cake though. One tier was lemon raspberry flavored, and the 2nd tier was strawberry passion fruit, AND the cake had delicious crunchy bites that added texture. We fortunately had leftover cake that we took with us and were able to enjoy with family the days following our wedding! Amanda is an absolute joy to work with and she puts in a lot of thought and effort into her craft! Opened in 2004, The Grange seamlessly blends rustic charm with contemporary amenities. “THE GOOD STUFF The Grange fit our needs really well for a 50 person baby shower. With the setup we chose, the room felt full but not crowded and allowed for ample room for people to move around. The fireplace added a nice atmosphere without making the room hot. The bathrooms and space were clean when we arrived. The Grange offers several table options which made it super easy for us to setup a kids zone, silent trivia area, and guest tables. Given that tables and chairs are included in the rental fee, it is fairly priced. A FEW BUMMERS While we wanted to have the garage doors open for an open-air feeling, it seemed that even the smallest bit of wind would knock over all of our decorations. Because we couldn't have the garage doors open, we did confine everything to indoors which changed our plans a bit with outdoor yard games as it wasn't super intuitive to go outside to the covered patio. We also would have liked to have been asked about the signage The Grange put outside. We had a co-ed baby shower but when we pulled up, the sign only listed the mother-to-be's name. Not a huge deal, but definitely could have been avoided. IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS A few things to note that may be important to you: 1. All setup, teardown, and cleaning is YOUR responsibility. So, if you don't want to haul tables and chairs, take out the trash, and mop the floor, this venue is not for you. (Note: We were made well aware of this prior to booking so it isn't a surprise but definitely a big consideration as it cuts into your rental time.) 2. The microphone works well for the main room but is very difficult to hear in the "back area" where the restrooms and food counters are. 3. When working on your budget, be sure to factor in the cost of getting event insurance as this is required and is an additional cost. (Again, we were made aware of this in advance so it wasn't a surprise.) 4. No table coverings/linens/tablecloths are provided so be sure you factor this into planning and your budget.”

“We had the absolute pleasure of hosting our ceremony and reception at the Rose; our wedding was 3 weeks ago and we STILL can't get over how perfect our day was! We owe our sincerest thanks to Emily Ridenour, our coordinator and wedding-planning wizard, as well as Patricia Zutman for the speedy and informative communication from the get-go. When deciding on the initial aspects of our ideal wedding, an all-inclusive and budget friendly venue were at the top of our list. The Rose exceeded any and all expectations that we had in those aspects and more - so much so that it was the only venue (out of 30 corresponded with) that we viewed and we couldn't be happier with our choice. From initial contact, Patricia and her team were direct and transparent with what the Rose offers and how we could make our dream day a reality. After solidifying our decision, we were blessed to work with Emily prior to and the day of our wedding. She kept in constant communication with us throughout the planning process and made sure we had everything covered along the way. I cannot fully articulate how incredibly amazing Emily is at planning and executing an event without a hitch! In addition to her assistance with planning and day-of coordination, we added her decor/set-up/tear down service - as a DIY bride this was an absolute blessing and truly brought my vision to life. We received countless compliments throughout the night (and to this day) about how awesome Emily was and how perfectly the night went. Along with Emily and Patricia, we are truly grateful to all the amazing staff that helped make our wedding as magical as it was. The bartenders, servers, and cooks (and everyone in between) made the experience an unforgettable one for us and our guests. The Rose's food is beyond words in terms of quality, look and taste. We had the 14er Buffet Style Menu and were obsessed with the beef medallions and pork loin. Drinks were made consistently perfect and there was never a line for 100 guests! We cannot thank the Rose enough for giving us the most beautiful day. We will ALWAYS recommend them #1 to anyone looking for their dream team & venue 3”

“My husband and I knew we wanted an intimate wedding with less than 20 guests. It was extremely challenging to find a venue that could host both the ceremony and reception that wasn't designed to fit over 100 guests and at the same time was elegant. Then we found Juniper. It was exactly what we were looking for and it was a bonus that it was close enough to Denver so our out of state guests didn't have to drive too far after a full day of travel. Alea and Ashley (the owners) are great to work with and were extremely accommodating and flexible with what we wanted to do. After the wedding our parents were raving about both of them. The venue itself is SO beautiful and we cannot wait to come back and stay at the hotel for our future anniversaries.”
