“Where do I even begin--how about with how hard it was to pick ONLY ten photos to include with this review?!? When we purchased Yellow Paddle's 1.5 photographer package, I was already over the moon. Having a second shooter, even for part of the day, was something I never dreamed I could afford, and it was so exciting to find a photography vendor where the pricing was so readily available. It's almost impossible to quantify the ways that Lan and Mike contributed to our day, and I am still in shock at how much I paid for how much we got. Yellow Paddle let us peruse all of their available photographers for our wedding date, and aside from how much we loved Lan's portfolio, there was also so much in his biography that resonated with us as a couple. From the moment we met Lan at our (incredibly well-priced) engagement session, we knew we had hit the nail on the head. Talking to him was easy, we shared tons of common interests, and despite both feeling very awkward in front of a camera, Lan captured our love and excitement with such intimacy and authenticity. Because of the connection we built at our engagement session, welcoming Lan into our getting-ready spaces was much more like greeting an old friend than meeting a wedding vendor. We didn't get to choose our second shooter with the 1.5 photographer package, but Mike was also an invaluable part of our day. My husband mentions frequently that Mike helped put him at ease just before our first look photos when he was feeling his most nervous. Lan and Mike worked well with each other, too; there wasn't any tension or stepping on each other's toes. When we got our gallery back (far sooner than the expected delivery date), we were in absolute awe. Lan and Mike delivered far above and beyond what we had ever dreamed of receiving when we started planning our wedding, and frankly above and beyond what we even expected based on Yellow Paddle's pricing/package details. From the staged family photos and accessory shots to the candids of guests and private moments between my husband and me, Lan and Mike truly captured the warmth, intimacy, love, and connection we felt throughout our special day. I am so excited to get to enjoy our photos for years and years to come. I cannot possibly recommend Yellow Paddle, and SPECIFICALLY Lan Vo, strongly enough for your wedding day.”

“We had a wonderful experience working with Brus and the full Spruce Mountain team. They think of everything when it comes to logistics, and we didn't have to worry about a thing from the moment we showed up on wedding day until the end of the night. Our experience touring the venue a year and a half ago, coming back for the Wine & Nosh event, and doing our 30 day walk through all made the planning process so smooth and exciting for us and our families. The multiple ceremony locations are all gorgeous, and we were thrilled to be able to get married mountainside with the natural beauty of Colorado in the background. Our guests loved cocktail hour and the indoor/outdoor dinner & dancing set up. Spruce is truly a 5 star wedding venue because of its natural beauty and the organization/care the team takes in scoping out all the details, like 2 beautiful getting ready suites for the bridesmaids & groomsmen, shuttles to take guests up mountainside, and open air string lights for late night dancing. Spruce is also a popular spot that many of our vendors were familiar with, which made logistics even smoother since our bartenders, caterer, DJ, planner, and florist had all done multiple weddings at Spruce before and had great recommendations on what could work well with our vision. “Getting married at The Rose was truly one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The venue itself is breathtaking.. it has so much history, character, and charm. It’s not just a place to host a wedding, it’s an experience. Many of our guests couldn’t stop talking about how unique and stunning the setting was, and how perfectly located it is. From the moment we walked in, it felt like the kind of place where memories live forever. The staff made the entire experience seamless. Everyone was kind, attentive, and on top of everything from the very beginning. We chose the Mexican buffet for dinner, and it was absolutely phenomenal.. our guests raved about it all night long. The bar service was also outstanding. Every bartender went above and beyond, keeping drinks full and energy high throughout the entire night. But as incredible as the venue and staff were, the absolute best part of our entire experience was Patrica. I don’t even know if words can do justice to who she is and what she did for us. I have never met someone so hardworking, caring, and genuinely passionate about their work. Her communication is extraordinary.. she doesn’t just keep you in the loop, she makes you feel completely supported and understood every step of the way. “Mountain Crust is incredible!! I can promise you, you don’t need to look at additional venues. You will not find a venue that is more fun, more kind and willing to make anything happen. I am so grateful for our experience with Mountain Crust Pizza. The Great: 1. The Staff – they are kind and had had fun with us! They communicated with our guests, they were always willing to help and went above and beyond at every step!! Standout employees from our event were Janae (our day of coordinator and one of the most organized and detailed humans), Spencer (upstairs Bartender and someone multiple guests called out saying how kind he was and how wonderful his drinks were) and Ryan (Owner and just sunshine in a human). 2. The food and drinks – I mean what else do your guests want?! BEST PIZZA AND UNLIMITED FOR 3HRS??? All of our guests left full and satisfied and HAPPY! 3. They do everything – day of coordinator, place to get ready, serve food, great bartenders, tables/chairs/napkins, etc. They even gave us great recommendations for Vendors. We booked one of Mountain Crust preferred DJ’s - Alysia the owner of Moonlit Entertainment Co and she was incredible! She listened and tailored the music to our guests and us. We had such a good time with Alysia! 4. Environmentally friendly – they compost and are nearly zero waste! Which also means real napkins, real plates, real silverware!!! 5. Loveshack – what a truly beautiful and perfectly casual spot to get ready in the morning. It is decorated so nicely but so incredibly comfortable. We had a group of 12 vendors and we didn’t feel crowded! The Bad: LITERALLY NOTHING! I have no constructive criticism to offer.”

After agreeing to the rentals, I also found myself in a situation that I needed setup and strike down of my wedding tables/decorations. Tie the knot was quick to offer their services and was so kind and agreeable to my specifications. The thought of not having to assign a loved one to setup and separate themselves from the special day was so relieving. Instead, everyone got to enjoy the day and show up to the reception venue looking magical! The communication was prompt, abundantly pleasant, and always on the same page. “My fiancé and I worked with Cami to provide desserts for our wedding and we were SO impressed with what she provided! We had a 6" lemon cake filled with Bavarian cream and raspberry preserves with a vanilla almond buttercream, strawberry shortcake cupcakes, brownies, and chocolate chip cookies. Our guests were RAVING about how delicious and fresh everything was, and Cami was very communicative, incredibly friendly, and professional. I cannot recommend her enough if you are looking for someone reliable and talented when it comes to making desserts for any event you may have. Five stars all around!”

“Booking Balistreri Vineyards as our venue was truly the best choice we could've made for our wedding! The venue itself is beautiful (don't let the warehouse district neighborhood fool you), the staff is INCREDIBLE, the food (made on site) was some of the best food we've had at a wedding (so much so I prioritized time in our timeline to make sure my husband had time to eat dinner), the flexibility of the venue is amazing, and so much more! From start to finish the venue coordinators Mattie and Mariah made the process a dream, and we really appreciated reasonable pricing with everything laid out clearly from the start (not a hidden fee in sight!). Having access to the bridal suite and the venue at 10am allowed myself and my bridal party to get ready on site, and made the day so relaxed. We've heard nothing but compliments from all our guests about how amazing this place was and how great of a time they had. Truly cannot recommend Balistreri enough!”

We are a homeowner's association with a rental facility known as The Grange, which is located 30 minutes between Denver and CO Springs. Opened in 2004, The Grange seamlessly blends rustic charm with contemporary amenities. Central aspects include natural light, grand ceilings, a bar and prep kitchen, a covered patio with heating capabilities, and a perimeter of garage doors for a free-flowing indoor/outdoor concept. Renting with us is “DIY” - We provide the venue, plus some amenities, and you bring it to life (no required vendors). Please note we are NOT an all-inclusive venue and our rates are HOURLY. “THE GOOD STUFF The Grange fit our needs really well for a 50 person baby shower. With the setup we chose, the room felt full but not crowded and allowed for ample room for people to move around. The fireplace added a nice atmosphere without making the room hot. The bathrooms and space were clean when we arrived. The Grange offers several table options which made it super easy for us to setup a kids zone, silent trivia area, and guest tables. Given that tables and chairs are included in the rental fee, it is fairly priced. A FEW BUMMERS While we wanted to have the garage doors open for an open-air feeling, it seemed that even the smallest bit of wind would knock over all of our decorations. Because we couldn't have the garage doors open, we did confine everything to indoors which changed our plans a bit with outdoor yard games as it wasn't super intuitive to go outside to the covered patio. We also would have liked to have been asked about the signage The Grange put outside. We had a co-ed baby shower but when we pulled up, the sign only listed the mother-to-be's name. Not a huge deal, but definitely could have been avoided. IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS A few things to note that may be important to you: 1. All setup, teardown, and cleaning is YOUR responsibility. So, if you don't want to haul tables and chairs, take out the trash, and mop the floor, this venue is not for you. (Note: We were made well aware of this prior to booking so it isn't a surprise but definitely a big consideration as it cuts into your rental time.) 2. The microphone works well for the main room but is very difficult to hear in the "back area" where the restrooms and food counters are. 3. When working on your budget, be sure to factor in the cost of getting event insurance as this is required and is an additional cost. (Again, we were made aware of this in advance so it wasn't a surprise.) 4. No table coverings/linens/tablecloths are provided so be sure you factor this into planning and your budget.”

I did a trial and did not regret it because I ended up making a few changes so my wedding hair and makeup turned out exactly how I wanted it. It was flawless. Kristina did such a wonderful job on my wedding makeup. I have sparse eyelashes and she was able to give me the lashes I’ve always desired. My makeup was flawless and stayed on all day even after sweating and dancing the night away, everything stayed in place! Ashley absolutely crushed my hair vision! I have pretty fine hair and was worried about not being able to do a low bun that had some volume in it and she made it happen! I didn’t have to use a bun filler or my extensions. My hair was beautiful! It was windy at the ceremony and my hair and curls all stayed in place. It still looked beautiful at the end of the night. They use high end products which makes a huge difference. The ladies were so professional and kind to my family and friends. They arrived on time and finished right on time for the photographers to arrive and I believe we had 12 services. They were phenomenal :)”

“The Ashley Ridge Wedgewood team went above and beyond! Our wedding was more perfect than we even imagined and our guests keep telling us it was the best wedding they’ve been to. Our coordinator, Calypso, was absolutely phenomenal from the beginning of the planning process through the entire day of. She gave wonderful suggestions when we were unsure of something during planning and executed everything perfectly the day of. It was so nice to have full trust in her and not have to worry about anything! Dylan was our banquet captain and he was just as amazing making sure that my wife and were always taken care of. We also could not have asked for better day of staff as well to make our day perfect. Thank you Quinn, Sierra, Nolan, Janie, Kira and Sydney for everything! Madeline with DJ Maestro was the perfect fit for us. She kept our timeline in order, played the perfect music and really made the day fun. The food was absolutely delicious and they have many options for appetizers. It was also nice that we could order a stuffed pepper separated for any vegans or vegetarians. Lastly, it was a relief that the venue cleaned up everything and repacked our decorations at the end of the night and loaded them into the car. It was so nice that they handled so many things in house and work directly with companies to make the planning less stressful. I appreciated not having to set up/clean up or go and find our own caterer, florist, DJ, baker, etc. We truly were able to enjoy every part of our day without any stress. Choosing Ashley Ridge was the best decision we made for our wedding. Thank you for truly making it the best day of our lives!”
