Awarded Best of Zola
We loved working with DJ Goodie throughout the entire planning process. He was very professional and easy to work with from the beginning and we knew after our first conversion he'd be able to get the party going. It really made a difference that he took the time to learn about the flow of the wedding and our musical preferences. On the wedding day, he made sure everything was ready before our guests arrived by coming early to set things up. He even had backup music ready in case the musicians had to cancel due to inclement weather. He even mic'd our officiant for the ceremony. The music choice for the reception flowed naturally from our wedding through cocktail hour and into the evening. He supplied excellent uplighting, which really improved the dance party's ambiance. DJ Goodie is the best option if you are searching for a DJ who is not just energetic but also really committed to making your wedding one to remember. We appreciate you making our day so memorable!

From the moment we inquired about hosting our wedding reception at Flagstaff House Restaurant, their team was incredibly prompt and effective in their communication via email. Their coordination and smooth running of the entire process leading up to and on our wedding day was absolutely perfect. Mariah went above and beyond on my wedding day. She managed to make it to the venue out in Steamboat, after getting a flat tire in the middle of a snowstorm. Not only that but booking her was pretty last minute due to a fall out with a previous makeup artist. I loved my makeup and it was exactly what I asked for. She really takes her time and makes sure you like it. I couldn’t have been happier with the end results. Not only that but she was so sweet and lovely to work with. Would highly recommend her services!

My husband was searching for wedding planners all around the state of Colorado and came across Ivory Events. At the beginning I was hesitant in getting one, I truly believed I knew it all and needed no help. What really caught our eye was that they responded straight away! We thought to ourselves that they could help us with the wedding of our dreams and that they would understand everything we wanted to do. My husband wanted things more elegant and I was ok with that! They helped us from the beginning – find the right vendors, communicating all the details and making us feel well taken care of, they knew it all, so they made our timeline super smooth and easy contributing all our musts. They were always there answering my silly questions through text and even on the phone. On our wedding day my husbands button fell off and they brought a sewing kit and sewed it back on his tuxedo. SO HELPFUL ! We are so blessed to have found such an amazing wedding planner, it didn't even seem like we were working together we were more like friends meeting up and laughing and having a great time planning this wedding. I also appreciate their attention to detail. We are so sad to no longer be working with them

I believe that wedding photography should be about you. This is your love, your story and your adventure. Here's what I believe you deserve: A. A photographer who listens to your whole story, and gets as invested in it as you want (but not like in a weird way) B. For you to be able leave stress at the door. I've spent years photographing weddings and honing my craft, I've got you covered no matter what. Also, I bring snacks. C. Amazingly personal photographs where you don't feel like a stranger in your own wedding album. I want to give you a fun experience, and allow you to be fully present in the moment.

Awarded Best of Zola
Alex (and his awesome assistant Maddie) not only perfectly captured our wedding, but they truly helped us celebrate the joy and love we felt on the day. Alex is grounded, calm, and helped us stay focused on one another and our community. He acted like our secret protector, carving out time throughout the night for us to bask in all of the small and big moments. In addition to being immensely talented, he is incredibly professional. Leading up to the wedding he was highly communicative (with both us and our planner) and took the time to get to know us. During the day, he played air traffic controller with our extended families without missing a beat. And he even shared a sneak peak of the previews by the next morning for us to celebrate before our honeymoon. We are so grateful that Alex was our photographer. The photos are timeless, and he is just such a great human.

My husband and I just got married at The Simon in September, and if we could give the experience more than 5 stars we would The Simon truly stuns as a venue and you need very little decor to make the space feel classy, warm, bright, and beautiful because the venue speaks for itself. Having an end of September wedding, an indoor venue was very important to me because I didn’t want to worry about potential weather disruptions. It’s located right on Main Street in downtown Louisville, which is an extremely quaint part of town with lots of great photography locations. A big selling point at The Simon is their inventory of decor you can rent completely for free for your big day. I can’t put into words how many guests were impressed by the venue. The compliments are still flowing in several weeks later. The bridal suite is large, stunning, and full of bright, natural light. The speakeasy in the basement is moody, intimate and perfect for photos. The ceremony space has huge windows that make the space feel open and bold, and the reception on the ground floor is perfect for festivities, especially if the weather is nice enough to open the garage doors. The wraparound balcony on the second floor is a great vibe for separating cocktail hour from both the ceremony and reception space and holds plenty of guests comfortably. The owner of the venue, Caitlyn, has it together at all times. It is the primary reason we chose The Simon over other venues. I always had my emails answered within 1-2 business days, she was able to source vegan wine for me from her wholesaler, she was able to track down other vendors for me when they weren’t as responsive, etc. She knows it all and does it all with grace and misses no details. I chose to hire my day of coordinator through the venue (Caylynn) and she was great to work with as well. She was thorough and communicative, showed up to meetings on time, and remembered details. She took charge and set up my decor perfectly, asked very few questions, and I knew I was in completely capable hands working with her. Her and Logan (facilities manager) working together really made the day go so smoothly. Overall we are so happy with our choice to host our wedding here. Our guests were totally wowed by how beautiful every space in the building is, and the staff at the Simon really makes it what it is. If you want a wedding that is smooth, easy, and naturally beautiful, look no further.

Clyde Plasencia Photography
Rating: 5.0 (11 reviews)
  • Photographer
  • Classic style
  • Starts at $2,500
  • Serves Jamestown, CO

Hey there! I'm Clyde, a local wedding and elopement photographer, born and raised in Boulder, Colorado. When I was younger, I always thought landscape photography would be my passion, but after shooting my first wedding I was hooked for life!

Awarded Best of Zola
Clyde was flexible with his time before and during our wedding, really taking time to get to know us. We didn't have a wedding planner, and had a non-traditional seated ceremony in the round. Clyde asked lots of questions we hadn't thought of...our conversations with him ended up helping us take better advantage of our venue (hilltop meadow lakefront pavilion) than we would have without him. By the time our wedding weekend arrived, he felt like a trusted friend, which was important to us since it was an intimate affair. He captured the freewheeling joy that came with our mountain campsite celebration so well, we often pull up our favorite shots and they take us right back to not just what happened, but how it felt. Can't say enough good things about Clyde, total pro and wonderful human!

We loved having our wedding at BMoCA!!! As soon as we toured it I knew it was the right venue for us. The upstairs event space was perfect (we had 65 guests but it is spacious enough for a larger wedding), the brick walls, natural light, hanging lights, wood floors all make it a beautiful backdrop. We loved being able to have cocktail hour downstairs so people could walk through the exhibit, it was very unique and fun. Jess was great to work with and answered all of our questions! Everything ran super smoothly the day of. Also, incredible location if you want to go out in Boulder afterwards! The one minor complaint I have is that you are restricted to using one catering company, Three Leaf. I would recommend looking into that before choosing this venue because they are a little pricey (we didn’t realize their prices in the brochure didn’t include staffing and other costs, which adds a lot. Which is on us, but we had never hired a caterer before so…didn’t know!). Also, it was difficult to get a response from them in the early stages of planning when we had questions. BUT 3 Leaf did a great job at the wedding, the food and service were really great, and Lily worked with us on lowering the costs to fit in our budget. So it all worked out! We had an incredible time and would definitely recommend having your wedding at BMoCA!

Megan Guerrie embraces the wild, beautiful challenge of combining just the right amount of fun, texture and color in her work. She takes inspiration from her wanderlust for distant cities, the Dutch masters paintings, and her clients personalities. “There is always something catching my eye when I wander outside. I’m endlessly entertained by the shapes and colors growing in our changing landscape.” Talk flowers to me!

Awarded Best of Zola
Megan was absolutely amazing! My mom had such a wild vision for the florals, as she said it was the most important part of the wedding, and Megan made it all come to life. Everything about the flowers were gorgeous! She was patient with my mom and listening to her vision and was very helpful in communicating with me near the day of the wedding. After my wedding, I also wanted to donate the flowers to a nursing home. Megan ended up finding some and donating them for me! She was truly great throughout the whole process and my wedding was so gorgeous because of her. I would 100% recommend!!!

Sabia & the whole team at Painted Primrose absolutely created my dream wedding! Flowers were such an important part of my vision for the big day, and I was SO happy with how they turned out! They worked with me to create everything that I wanted, from succulents as favors on the napkin to roses hanging from the stairway to an incredible arch piece. My bouquet was also incredibly stunning & far better than I could've imagined! I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a wedding florist!

Hey there, I'm Tatiana! I am a wedding and elopement photographer based in Colorado, though I love to travel all over for my clients. I'm a lover of animals, tattoos, writing, and all things fantasy, especially The Lord of The Rings. I love to talk about dogs (they're amazing, okay?) and will tell you all about my rescue, Rhaegar, who wears pajamas and has learned how to skillfully wrap himself up like a burrito with our fuzziest blankets when it snows if you let me. I am also the biggest The Airborne Toxic Event fan and there's a pretty good chance they're who I'm rocking out to on my way to your wedding.

There are no words to explain how amazing Tatiana's work is! They responded quickly every time I reached out, along with providing recommendations on outfits and locations. The quality and style of the pictures are unmatchable. We used Silver Mountain Photography for both our engagement pictures and elopement coverage, and I could not be happier with the communication, pictures, and overall package. Tatiana made my "picture hating" husband LOVE doing shoots because of their knowledge of poses, encouragement, and overall fun vibe throughout the entire shoot. When I say we are obsessed with our pictures, I mean OBSESSED. We will certainly be using Tatiana in the future for photo shoots. 100/10 recommend!!

The St Vrain is such a beautiful venue with intentionally decorated spaces. Mark and Annie were wonderful to work with and very communicative. We got married in April and unfortunately were unlucky with the weather, however, we didn’t have to worry much since the St Vrain is primarily indoors, spacious and was easily able to accommodate our 120 guests. Some of their recommended vendors were out of our price range so we had to do a little additional research to find the right vendors for us. Overall, we are extremely glad we chose the St Vrain.

We truly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding photographer! From the very beginning, the entire experience was seamless, professional, and genuinely enjoyable. Mandy brings such a calm, friendly energy that instantly puts you at ease, something that made a huge difference on our wedding day. Her ability to capture real, emotional moments is incredible. Looking through our photos, you can actually feel the joy, love, and excitement from every part of the day. I aim to provide a unique, meaningful experience filled with adventure, laughter, and a whole lot of love. My main goal is to ensure that not only do you receive a kick-ass gallery or video that brings back all the feelings from your day, but that you have an INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE throughout the entire journey! Your wedding day should be fun, STRESS-FREE and memorable. Simple as that. And I will do everything I can throughout the entire process to make sure it is nothing less.

Alanna could not have captured me and my husband’s elopement day more authentically. And truthfully, that was the most important part of the day I got married- it reflecting me and my partner accurately! Alanna woke up at 3am and met up with us to start our special day hiking to an alpine lake in WA. I know that’s not atypical for an elopement photographer; however, it’s hard to find someone more down to earth, calm and relaxed and with the ability to make you feel so safe. That’s Alanna. She has a unique and beautiful gift. My husband and I could not be grateful to have met and worked with Alanna. Our final photos and video (which I’ve watched a near 150 times…no, I mean it) were breathtaking. Could not recommend this woman enough!

  • Large venue, not ideal for small guest lists

*Disclaimer* We used Lionscrest right before they were sold to Wedgewood. Our experience with Lionscrest was fantastic - it's an unbeatable venue and we really appreciated the team there. I never had any doubts or stresses about the venue's preparedness for our wedding because they were always so prepared for all of our meetings and we heard good feedback from every vendor we worked with (most of whom were very familiar with Lionscrest). They provided us with a day-of coordinator, Tatiana, who was an actual superstar and made it all run so smoothly. I never heard of any drama or problems happening the whole time - she was very conscientious and amazing. We also did their inclusive package which allowed us to narrow down our vendors and gave us confidence that everyone was reliable and vetted. The cost was definitely worth it, because we saw so many other venues that honestly weren't as nice but were as expensive or more! We absolutely recommend Lionscrest and wouldn't change anything.
