About this venue
The Rose is a NEW event venue that opened January 2019. We are an all-inclusive venue that comes equipped with professional event coordination, tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, glassware, decorative lighting, and table decor. We also provide full in-house catering, beverage service, and staffing and will connect you with the very best local vendors. The Rose also has a concert-quality sound system, up to 4 large-screen televisions, a theater-quality video projection system, and an elevated stage enabling comprehensive entertainment options.

The Lobby
This attractive two-story masonry building was fully restored to its bygone-era art deco glamour during the recent facility renovation.
Visitors enter the building under the classic grand marquee and enter a space with soaring ceilings, bold steel trusses, elegant lighting and original brick walls define the new venue and Lobby space. In addition, The Lobby has a fully stocked bar, classic parlor games, and two big-screen televisions. This space is quite unique as it allows for a lounge, a bar, and dining space for tables to be set up and is ideal for moderate social dining functions (60 ppl).

Nearly 1000 square feet of steam-punk elegance.
With nearly 1000 square feet of steam-punk elegance, the State Room, located on the mezzanine level of The Rose event venue has a private bar, private bathrooms, an elegant fireplace, and two large TV screens. Guests can access the State Room through a dedicated entrance on Washington Ave. or through the main venue space. The room is set-up with lounge and bar seating (50 ppl) and works well for cocktail-style/heavy hors d'oeuvres style events.

Buffalo Room
The Buffalo Room is the site of the oldest bar in Colorado.
The recent remodel fully restored the classic masonry façade, re-exposed and highlighted the original interior brick walls, and revealed many distinct architectural elements that have characterized this wonderful building since the early 20th century. The Buffalo Room is a semi-private dining room in our restaurant and is available for private dining. It is ideal for larger social dining functions (80 ppl). You can also add on the attached patio for an additional fee (20 ppl).

Barbershop
A true piece of history in Golden. Originally called the “Iler Block," this space now serves as the entry area for the Buffalo Rose restaurant.
This classic old west structure was built in 1871 and was completely restored as part of the recent remodel project. The Barbershop features one of the only exposed brick nogged walls still standing, an original vaulted ceiling, handsome interior wood siding preserved from the Civil War era, and cozy lounge seating arrayed thoughtfully around a stone fireplace. The room opens conveniently out on to a patio along 12th Ave. The room works well for cocktail-style/heavy hors d'oeuvres-style events.

Experience the perfect venue for your event combining authentic Western American history with the convenience of a major metropolitan location.
The Rose is an iconic downtown Golden property. Rental of The Rose Main Venue includes the main venue and lobby and the 2nd-floor mezzanine, Bridal Suite, and Groom's Lounge. The entire event venue can accommodate up to as many as 300 guests for plated meal-type events. For events with MORE than 150 guests, we encourage you to add on the State Room lounge as this provides your guests with more room to spread out for Cocktail Hour and increases the number of bartenders on staff from 2-4.

The Rose Event Center was a DREAM!!
We had our wedding at The Rose Event Center in September 2025 and the entire process was a DREAM! The venue is stunning and has so much character - exactly what we were looking for! This was our 4th venue we toured and I knew it was the one the moment we started to walk through. Both Patricia and Emily were incredible to work with. They were extremely prompt and organized in every email and conversation we had. What we loved the most is that this is an all-inclusive venue -- something that is not very typical with other venues. The transparency in the price and what it includes were 100% exact & there were no hidden fees. We loved working with their recommended vendor (elite entertainment) for our DJ and decor. That is the only outside vendor, besides our photographer & makeup/hair people. We chose to add extra time and have access to the venue earlier on our wedding day so that both parties could get ready at the venue and I highly recommend doing that! We both had breakfast at nearby restaurants and timed everything out so that the girls would arrive first to start getting ready. The bridal space upstairs is gorgeous and perfect for getting ready with your girls. We had our first look in the state room (bar upstairs) and it was the perfect intimate moment we wanted. We sent our wedding party & parents down to the park (2 blocks away) by the river and walked down there after our first look for family/bridal party photos - a true dream without having to coordinate transportation. I cannot recommend The Rose and their staff enough. The food was delicious and our guests enjoyed being able to explore up on the mezzanine level throughout the night. (*inside tip - you can go to the Buffalo Rose next door and do a wine tasting before making your wine selections!) Make sure you get the Churros for dessert! Our *only* regret is that we didn't have more dessert for out guests -- it ran out very quickly as we had more guests stay than expected and everyone wanted the churros (we did the dessert bar with 4 different varieties) Book your tour at The Rose Event center - you won't regret it!
Wedding of Our Dreams
We had the wedding of our dreams at The Rose, and I’m still in awe of how perfectly everything came together. It was truly the best day of our lives. Very early in our tour, my wife and I knew we had found the perfect venue. The building is full of charm — the upstairs state room is ideal for cocktail hour, the front lounge creates a warm gathering space for guests, and most importantly, the dance floor is huge with an incredible stage. We wanted to throw an absolute rager with a live band, and The Rose was the perfect place to make that happen. Patricia, the event coordinator, runs an incredibly tight ship. She is exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and always on top of everything. The planning documents were thorough and thoughtfully structured, and she kept us on track every step of the way. Wedding planning can be stressful, but Patricia made us feel completely confident that every detail was handled. At the rehearsal, Patricia took full command in the best possible way. She had every minute detail mapped out, which allowed us to truly relax and focus on enjoying the moment. On the big day, we felt so well taken care of. Thank you, Patricia, for going above and beyond for us. If you choose The Rose, you can trust that Patricia will make your wedding everything you hope it will be. Fun fact: My wife and I actually booked The Rose before we got engaged — a little untraditional, I know. We wanted to lock in the venue before dates filled up, and it took so much pressure off. When it came time to propose, I reached out to Patricia to help plan it. At our wedding, there was even an “X” on the dance floor marking the exact spot where I proposed. Patricia truly goes the extra mile.
Calm, Caring, and Absolutely Perfect
From start to finish, our experience with The Rose Event Center was nothing short of amazing. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful, full of character, warmth, and charm, but what truly sets it apart is the level of care and support you receive, especially from Patricia. I’m a busy mom of two, and going into wedding planning I honestly had no idea how I was going to pull everything together. Patricia was incredible at keeping everything organized, detailed, and on track while also reminding me that I was on track and didn’t need to stress. Her calm, reassuring presence made the entire planning process feel manageable and even enjoyable. On our wedding day, everything came together exactly how I had envisioned it. The Rose has such natural ambiance that you don’t need a ton of décor to make it feel magical, it’s already stunning on its own. Seeing our names on the marquee that day was such a fun and special touch and made the whole experience feel even more personal. There was even a moment when the strap on my wedding dress ripped, and Patricia was immediately there with an emergency kit, sewing me back up and getting me back out to enjoy our day without missing a beat. That level of preparedness and care truly speaks volumes. The food was fantastic, we received so many compliments, and the staff was warm, friendly, and professional throughout the entire day. We loved every minute of our wedding, and we are so grateful to The Rose and Patricia for making it all feel seamless and stress-free. We couldn’t recommend this venue more highly.

The Rose is such a wonderful venue. We had our wedding here in November and it went perfectly! The event coordinator, Patricia, put in an immense amount of work with us getting everything just right. She kept us on track for deadlines, helped organize all decorative details, and helped us coordinate with vendors. Her recommended vendors were great and she has a great working relationship with all of them. She really focused on making the day easy for us. During the event, she was available to handle any requests that we had. She kept us well-hydrated and made sure we had plenty of time to regroup between the ceremony and reception. The space is a historic building that has a vintage charm, including an excellent bar on the 2nd floor mezzanine, moody lighting, and a sophisticated feel. It's located in the heart of Golden, right by Clear Creek. The whole day was very beautiful.
