Let me tell you my story. I had a day that wasn’t really about the connection I had with my husband. It wasn’t about who we were as people and about the things we loved. It wasn’t “us”. Imagine having an adventure elopement day that includes whatever floats your boat. Whether it’s adrenaline-packed, laughter-filled, chill vibes, or all of the above. “Let’s start off with the fact that the whole week we were in Alaska felt like a blur, because it was truly more awe-inspiring than anything we could’ve imagined, making it SO hard to go back to reality after this fantasy adventure that Sam helped us cook up. There were helicopters, tons of different sights, glaciers, and MOOSE! One thing we loved about working with Sam was that it never really felt like we took posed photos; there were prompts and directions, but it really was genuine, she captured us just being weirdly us. Jeff complained about getting his photos taken in the months leading up to our elopement, but the experience was way better than expected (he grew up despising cameras) and all of our photos are so full of life, taking us back to that exact time and place. Also, Sam suggested thinking about our day as an adventure first and a wedding second, and it really helped us realize the potential and plan a day that was way more badass and memorable than any traditional wedding! We certainly don’t feel like we missed out on anything by eloping; in fact, we feel the experience was more meaningful and intentional because we got to experience all of these new adventures together that were uniquely us. When we were looking for a wedding and engagement photographer we wanted someone who was creative in their shots, had crystal clear photo quality, and had a true to life/vibrant photography style - and Maria was the perfect fit! We had a phone consultation where she asked thoughtful questions to get to know us as a couple but also helped asked things related to photography to help us communicate our desires and ensure she was the right fit. My now husband and I sat down with wine and went through the questions together, so that itself was a fun planning experience. We’re not the most comfortable in front the camera so it was cool to feel seen and have her understand us before we arrived to the shoot. And let me tell you we had the BEST time! We felt comfortable so quickly and the shoot flew by. The photos turned out AMAZING and we got even more excited for the wedding. Before the wedding we had a questionnaire to go over our desires for the wedding (and even had a chance to put secret info if you had any surprises for people or just wanted her to be aware of certain family dynamics you don’t want widely disseminated). On our wedding day Maria even handled a situation for us when we asked for help and she was the most discreet and professional and got us taken care of. We just got our full gallery back and the photos are the dreamiest - incredible sunset photos, creative and thoughtful detail shots, and excellent photos of our guests. The gallery captures our day perfectly and is everything and more than we could have asked for. Maria is timely, talented, professional, a cool person, and is someone we’d hire again in a heartbeat. Plus, she’s always down for an adventure so if you want to travel I’m sure she’ll be happy to meet you there and help make your photography dreams come true. “Coral and her team were INCREDIBLE! We hired them for photography and videography for our wedding and we couldn’t have chosen a better team. Coral has an eye for capturing pure emotion. The photos make you feel like you are right back in the moment. I wore two distinctly different gowns (one was a traditional ivory ballgown, another a red, heavily embroidered Pakistani gown), and Coral captured both looks beautifully and effortlessly. My husband is comfortable in front of the camera, but the wedding was a very nerve wracking day for him- but everyone on The Double Shot Project team were so kind and made sure to match his vibe and uplift him any time they could. They also really took their time photographing him and his father with their project cars, which was a really special moment for them. Our guests couldn’t stop complimenting just how sweet and fun her and her team were, and how they brought a bright and positive energy while always mindful of the people surrounding them (which is tricky to do when holding equipment). “From the initial appointment, Lindsay was so warm and friendly - she made the entire process so unbelievably smooth. I never once had to worry or ask for communication - because she was always on top of everything before I had to ask. She was a great resource for us. When it came to the engagement session, ceremony, and reception, Lindsay made us feel so comfortable (we are notoriously awkward in front of a camera & she really made us feel 100% comfortable, which made every event more fun because she could capture our most authentic selves. Any random idea I saw I would ask her about and she was so receptive to it all & catered the entire experience to us (she also gave incredible ideas that fit with our personal style which were some of my favorite shots). Overall - we LOVED working with her & I would not have changed a single thing about her or the process, she did a fabulous job capturing our special days & she acclimated exceptionally to the different styles of each event.”
