I've been passionate about documenting and creating since I was a little girl running wild in the suburbs of St. Paul. I would steal my parent's film camera and take dozens (okay maybe hundreds) of blurry photos of our dog. In high school, I spent babysitting money on a polaroid and then finally my beloved point and shoot, which was my favorite accessory for a night out! I was gifted my first DSLR in my early twenties, and that changed the way I looked at the role photography played in my life. I have a crazy parrot who gives me a facial every time I am at my computer editing haha. I love traveling so much. Oh, and there’s a 100+% chance I will dance at your wedding and possibly shed a tear.

Since 2008, I’ve found myself as a professional photographer who strives to capture life, in all of its twists + turns, candidly. In addition to taking pictures, I am: the owner of The Made Fest, a handmade + vintage festival; in love with my husband; a co-founder of Smile Politely, a Champaign-Urbana local culture magazine and The Pygmalion Festival; a master gardener; an epicurean; and a mother. As much as we are tech/gear heads with regards to equipment, we also know that the greatest piece of equipment any photographer can have is his/her brain. I’m a photographer + graphic designer based in Michigan. I wish to one day make out in a hot summer rainstorm. I collect nearly empty perfume & lotion bottles that I will never finish. Their smells bring back so many good memories.
