With her quote, she sent over a proposed timeline for the day and recommendations of timing / number of photographers-- we used this to quite literally plan our whole day timeline around, and we were never running low on time; everything felt according to plan and never rushed. (Family photos were SO smooth!) Her level of detail is so special, and we loved the photos captured of all the hard work we put in on the decorations, venue, etc. as well as the organic human moments filled with emotion, silliness and beyond! She makes you feel so comfortable and ease immediately, which helped bring out the sweetness and silliness in our couples photos. We also got the BEST reception photos and loved how much happened on the dance floor or at cocktail hour that we didn't even see happen (because, you know, you're a bit busy seeing everyone)! On our video call consultation, I had suggested a viewpoint on Bull Hill in Cold Spring but we couldn't find a lot of photos of the exact spot—so Matthew actually hiked all the way up there a few days early just to scope it out and make sure it was perfect! On the day of the proposal, he arrived early to ensure everything went flawlessly and blended into the landscape beautifully. My now-fiance remembers noticing him but thought he was just another hiker enjoying the views. The natural photos he captured of us at the viewpoint and in the surrounding area are stunning. Matthew's dedication and meticulous preparation made us feel totally at ease. “Lisa was hands down one of my top vendors for my September 2024 wedding. Ultimately when booking vendors we had two non- negotiables- affordability and character. I met with several photographers before her and either their pricing was not within our range or I didn’t feel any “connection” with them. When I met Lisa over FaceTime I was in Target with my two toddlers because I had my schedule mixed up. She laughed about it and we were able to have a productive meeting despite the mix up. I hired Lisa not long after and I am so glad I did. Besides from being a phenomenal photographer, her personality is what put the cherry on top. She is detail oriented and assertive - like myself- and had a very efficient way of photographing our bridal party where we were even able to enjoy our cocktail hour without having a first look. She was excellent and extremely patient with our two kids. Our family loved her as did we! We were even able to get her out on the dance floor for a bit! We wish we didn’t live so far away otherwise we would be using her as our photographer a whole lot. “Our experience was far beyond what we’d hoped for! We had so much fun at the engagement shoot; it felt like spending time catching up with friends, but then we somehow also ended with incredible photos of us as a couple that we’ll always cherish. From crouching in the foliage to climbing on hotel chairs, she let nothing stop her - not even a wardrobe malfunction! I don't know too much about photography, but I do know that on our wedding day the lighting in the building and the grounds was varied and difficult to navigate.
