Welcome to PKA Photography! We are a dynamic husband-wife duo, our journey began when our own wedding visuals left us unsatisfied in 2022. Instead of dwelling on discontent, we took charge, giving birth to PKA Photography in June 2022. In this short span, we've joyfully captured over 300 weddings and events, spanning from intimate elopements to heartwarming civil ceremonies. Each event embodies a unique tale, a celebration of love, and an opportunity to freeze magical moments in time. In every project, we step into your shoes, ensuring that your experience with us aligns with everything we'd desire for our own wedding.

Born in the Netherlands, I grew up in 4 time zones, 3 countries and 2 continents, but finally put my roots down here in SoCal. Now my husband, our two dreamboat kids, our fur-baby, (and the box turtle I've had since I was 10) live in a little beach town just north of San Diego. By day I'm beach bound, but in the evenings I'm often editing away, though you might also catch me making jewelry, curled up on the couch watching re-runs of Schitt's Creek. I consider myself a Citizen of the World and use my dual passports to experience as much of it as I can. Next stop: Bali for our 10-year. Some day: an African Safari!

Together we live on a "Pretty Branch" by a lagoon in southern California, with our two dogs Indy & Cowboy. Our wings fly us around to epic locations where we capture lovebirds in their natural habitat, adventure. Where will you meet us for your RAD photo & video shoot!? Our lead photographer Matt was classically trained at the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara. When Lori met Matt in Hollywood in 2013 she fell in love with his world of music videos & movies. Matt brings 20+ years of photography & video experience to the pair. He is also our go-to tech guru on everything from drones to building custom computers & camera rigs.
