Justin creates timeless film and digital images with a natural and documentary feel to be relived for years to come. With encouraging, positive energy he helps settle any butterflies, provides relaxed and comfort- able direction when needed, ensures room for subtlety when a moment unexpectedly unfolds, and is ready to get down when the music starts. Justin is based in Southern California but travels Worldwide. The most important things to know about Justin are: he loves people, approaches his work with professionalism and enthusiasm and is so grateful to experience and document others to show just how beautiful and unique they are.

I am known for a relaxed direction and refined eye and capture authentic, timeless images with a natural, modern feel. I also bring an encouraging presence and timeless approach—blending film and digital photography to create natural, emotive images that feel effortlessly true to each couple’s story.

Amazing photographer and even more amazing person
As one of the preferred vendors at our venue, Olympia's Valley Estate in Petaluma, we booked with Justin Jay after our first conversation with him and of course, his phenomenal past work. I'd never had a photographer before and we did not meet him until our wedding day so naturally, I was a little nervous about whether I'd feel comfortable in front of the camera. From the moment we met in person, you could feel Justin's warmth and willingness to accommodate minor schedule changes in stride. He even went out of his way to steam my wedding dress - I mean, seriously?! He didn't miss anything from our shot list, followed our timeline closely, and in all honesty, stayed in the background for most photos which allowed me to feel at ease and natural. He took the most incredible photos of our entire day (160 guest count, no less) and I would recommend him to anyone in search of a photographer. Thank you my new friend, Justin, for capturing our day so beautifully!

Excellence in Every Photo
Justin was so wonderful to work with. With Justin's excellent work my husband and I can revisit the best moments of our wedding day. His kindness and charisma brought on out the most genuine of smiles and made for such fun. His passion for photography and professionalism are both wonderfully evident in his product.
