    Very Disappointed with Wishwell and My Experience

    My husband and I decided to book Wishwell and Toby specifically as our wedding photographer. I was messaging Toby about different details only two weeks leading up to my wedding, and he let me know he was sending his friend to photograph our wedding instead of himself. As a bride who was planning her own wedding, this made me feel really frustrated and stressed out! I continued to give Toby lots of details and filled out a very long questionnaire that he had sent me. On the day of my wedding Toby’s friend and business partner Pete arrived as my photographer. He walked in with a really bad attitude and was super unpleasant. Every interaction that anyone there had with him was not great. Right after I got married, like only one minute after my ceremony was over, Pete walked up to me and said “what do I do?”. This was super confusing because I had spent hours filling out their questionnaire and had given them extensive information about the schedule as it relates to photography. So, instead of our photographer taking absolutely any charge of the situation I was running around in my wedding dress trying to track down family members and putting them together in group photos. When the family photos were done, it was time for my husband and I to do our bride and groom photo shoot. As I discussed with Toby, this was not supposed to take over 40 minutes under any circumstances. I was already a little bit bummed to be missing my cocktail hour, so it was really important to me that we were moving quickly through these photos. I had sent specific poses to Toby because I thought that would be helpful in making sure that couples pictures didn’t take too long. Our photographer was COMPLETELY CLUELESS. He was asking me over and over “where is the shoot list?”. I already sent all of that information over to his boss months ago. One thing that was extremely frustrating to me was that he refused to help pose us physically, or help me adjust anything for photos. I asked him to help make sure my hair was adjusted and that anything else on my dress was adjusted, and and he told me that if I wanted anything like that to happen that I had to go get one of my bridesmaids and they had to do it for me because he wouldn’t. He was putting my husband and I and really awkward poses and when that started, I asked him to please use the poses that we had sent over as inspiration. He said he had never received them and spent the next 20 minutes asking me to find my phone so I could show him the inspiration photos, and trying to get his boss on the phone to get the inspiration pictures for my husband and I. Our couples shoot went way overtime. Everything on the schedule for the wedding had to be pushed back 30-40 mins because of the unpreparedness of our photographer. Overall, I look back on the situation with photographer really sadly because that is 30 to 40 minutes that I would’ve loved to spend extended family that traveled from out of state. I will literally never be able to get that time back. The photos are fine, there are a few nice ones, however most are not great. My bra straps were showing in more than half of the photos but Pete didn’t mention that to me at all. All of the family photos are at terrible angles. There are stacked up chairs and garbage in the background of our cake cutting photos. I will always be upset because this gave me so much stress on the most amazing day of my life. Truly awful experience with Wishwell.

    Stunning Wedding Photos!

    When we booked Toby, we knew we were in good hands. Toby's communication style is responsive, laidback, and easy, which put us at ease throughout the entire wedding planning process. On the day of the wedding, Toby and his videographer were a pleasure to work with - he made us feel comfortable and captured everything we were hoping for, including the little moments that we'll be able to cherish for a lifetime. Toby accommodated me when I changed my mind months after booking to add the video package. We received our stunning sneak peek photos just 12 hours after the wedding ended, which was an incredible turnaround. Overall, Toby Ogden Photography & Film exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend them to any couple looking for a passionate, talented, and easygoing wedding photographer and videographer.

    Book Toby ASAP!

    Book Toby now!! He is such an amazing photographer and you will not be disappointed with his work! We have been lucky enough to have Toby shoot our engagement photos, wedding photos and maternity photos 5 years after our wedding. He still captures the most beautiful shots and will make you feel so comfortable! He will tell you exactly what to do and where to look and is open to any ideas you do have! Toby has also shot many of our close friends weddings and family pictures and they ALL had nothing but amazing things to say. Take one thing off your list and just book him!

    Toby is the best!

    Toby is absolutely amazing! He did both our engagement and wedding photos, and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. He made taking photos so easy and fun, even though it’s not something that comes naturally to us. He’s so easy-going, fun to be around, and incredibly talented. We’re so grateful we had him capture these special moments — highly recommend!
