Chasing Light | Photo & Video is a San Diego-based wedding photography and videography team devoted to capturing the real moments that make a wedding unforgettable. The quiet glances, the uncontrollable laughter, the tears during a first look—these are the moments that matter most. With a documentary-style approach, the team focuses on preserving the genuine emotion and natural beauty of each couple’s story as it unfolds. Russ and Clara, a husband-and-wife team with more than a decade of experience documenting weddings together. Their shared passion for storytelling allows them to see moments from both an artistic and emotional perspective.

WOW!! Cannot recommend enough
From our first conversation, we knew Chasing Light Photo & Film was the right choice for us. Russ made us feel so comfortable on our wedding day with his energy, humor, and clear direction throughout the shoot. He had a wonderful vision for every shot, including all the small details that I totally forgot to ask for, but am so thankful to have lol! His work is beautiful and tasteful, and he was so good at keeping things running smooth the entire time. We are so grateful to be able to have such incredible photos to remember our special day. We also really appreciated the engagement shoot that was included in the package. Because of personal logistics, we actually couldn't do the shoot until two weeks out from wedding day. But I ended up so thankful as everything felt so familiar and fresh on the day of! And as a plus we had even more incredible photos to enjoy! We highly recommend Chasing Light Photo & Film to any couple looking for a photo team that is friendly, funny, and genuinely talented at what they do.

We cannot say enough amazing things about Chasing Light! From start to finish, they were incredible to work with. We opted for the engagement wedding photo and video package, and it was worth every penny. Pricing is reasonable, and the turnaround time for photos is lightning fast—we had ours back within just 14 days! What truly sets Chasing Light apart is their expertise in the wedding industry. Honestly, they were just as good—if not better—than our day-of coordinators. Despite the day running behind schedule, they worked seamlessly to adjust, prioritize, and make sure we got the most important shots. While we couldn’t take all the family photos I’d originally hoped for, their ability to pivot and focus on what mattered most to us was truly impressive. If you’re considering them, don’t hesitate—seriously, Chasing Light is a dream team! We couldn’t recommend them more highly.
