Defiance Hall is a 10,000 sf, authentically restored historic building with reaching mountain views built in 1820. We focus our venue on weddings for up to 125 guests, allowing the event to flow inside and outside the property with arrival cocktail receptions on our outdoor terrace & creekside area or inside in a welcoming space. Dining typically takes place in the main hall, while wedding vows, dancing, and afterparties are held upstairs in The Loft. The $53,000 Signature Wedding Weekend includes exclusive use of the estate, farmhouse accommodations for up to 17 guests, full-service wedding planning and creative direction with owner Katie, weekend production, event spaces, furnishings, and amenities. Most weddings we plan represent an overall investment of approximately $150,000–$300,000. We host only a limited number of weddings each year, allowing us to personally plan and care for every celebration from beginning to end.

We are a small family farm located in Central New York. We have created several spaces on our farm for ceremonies, and a very nice, intimate space for a reception. We have a licensed kitchen, therefore we can cater your wedding, or you can hire an outside caterer. We are working farm, and as such need to limit the number of seated guests to 30 or fewer, 50 or fewer for an hours d’oeuvres only reception. Booking our venue also includes officiant services.
