    I cannot say enough positive things about M&D farm. In fact, I’m recommending them to my friends looking for wedding venues now! I was immediately drawn to how beautiful their gardens are. Guests can explore various rooms of the garden, and the flow of the event was flawless. I have Daniel and Marco to thank for that (the owners) who were my day-of coordinators. They remained calm as they handled everything, and my guests loved them!

    A Venue Where Love Blooms: A Garden Wedding Dream!

    My husband Chris and I were married at M&D Farm this weekend and are now soaking up the afterglow radiating from the happiest day of our lives. To exchange our vows in the lushest, most romantic and lovingly tended gardens, surrounded by our friends and family was a dream come true. We visited M&D Farm as a newly engaged couple in June 2023 and knew it would be a perfect fit from the start. From that point, Daniel and Mario worked with us every step of the way to bring our vision to life. We appreciated their attention to detail and clear communication, but most of all, we were delighted by their passion to celebrate the unique love of every couple they work with. Two years later (down to the day), all of our hard work and collaboration with Mario and Daniel paid off. It was truly a flawless weekend, from the ceremony rehearsal to the final squeeze goodbye at the end of our wedding night. Chris and I were able to truly LIVE our day, thanks to Mario and Daniel's kind, steady presence, working expertly in the background to ensure the perfect experience for us and our people. After 12 years together, Chris and I couldn't imagine a more meaningful place to make our commitments to forever. We will cherish our wedding at M&D Farm, each day, for the rest of our days.

    Love, Lush Gardens, and Perfect Planning

    MD Farm was more than we could have hoped for. The location and property are truly out of a fairytale—every garden, every corner feels like magic. From the moment we booked, Mario and Daniel were with us every step of the way. They clearly have this down to a science, yet somehow still made it feel entirely personal and heartfelt. The week before the wedding, the forecast looked dreary, and I found myself in tears on the phone with them. They comforted and reassured me with such kindness—telling me our day would be incredible no matter what. And they were absolutely right. On the day of, they showed the highest level of care and accommodation to every single one of our guests. They helped our wedding party feel at home and made sure the entire day ran smoothly—every last detail was looked after with such intention. We also rented the house on the property, which was immaculate and added such ease to the experience. Mario and Daniel are clearly made for each other—and they have such a gift for creating the wedding day that couples dream of. My new husband and I feel so lucky to have found them, and we recommend MD Farm with all our hearts to anyone seeking a stunning, high-quality outdoor wedding. It’s a dream—rain or shine—truly.     M&D Farm was the absolute best venue

    Mario and Daniel have created an exceptional venue with M&D Farm. The property is beautifully maintained, with thoughtfully designed spaces including the barn, gardens, front courtyard, house, and surrounding grounds. Each area is visually impressive and carefully curated. Mario and Daniel were also excellent partners throughout the entire planning process. They offered valuable guidance and maintained a reassuring presence from start to finish. Their professionalism, responsiveness, and organization made working with them a genuinely positive experience. We are extremely pleased with how our wedding turned out and would highly recommend M&D Farm to anyone looking for a venue in the Hudson Valley area. (will edit to add photos once we get them back)

    Absolute Perfection

    Mario and Daniel have created something truly special with M&D Farm. The property is absolutely breathtaking. From the gardens, to the front courtyard, to the house, to the barn and the grounds, each space and corner is beautiful. When my husband and I were looking for a wedding venue, we wanted somewhere that stuck the balance between a chic and well designed space that also felt warm and inviting. M&D strikes this balance PERFECTLY. In addition to the beautiful space, Mario and Daniel were a joy to work with. They brought expertise and professionalism to the planning process. They're organized, responsive, and such a joy to work with. They provide a warm, kind, and calming energy throughout the process and the day of the wedding. M&D Farm is an authentic garden wedding venue nestled on private grounds, offering a romantic and intimate setting with a European feel. Most celebrations include an outdoor ceremony, cocktails in the garden, dinner under the sky, and dancing in our restored barn, but everything can be tailored to your vision. The property features 10 distinct garden areas for guests to discover and meander through as the event unfolds.
Our wedding season runs from late May to early October.
To maintain the intimate and private character of our events, we cap the guest count at a maximum of 150 people (including the couple). This helps us uphold the curated, relaxed, and refined experience that makes your celebration at M&D Farm truly special.
Of course! Once couples sign with us, we share our curated vendor list, but we’re happy to work with your own vendor preferences too. We do pay special attention when it comes to catering, mainly because of the higher level of liability involved. The caterer hired for the day must provide and serve both food and alcohol, and they must own a valid New York State full liquor license.
It depends on your guest count, vendor choices, and overall vision. Our vendor list features trusted local professionals known for their high-quality service and typically more reasonable pricing than non-local options. Catering usually starts around $165 per person (including alcohol, tableware, staffing, and equipment), plus tax and service charge. Since your event takes place in a garden setting, many couples find it's not necessary to spend as much on flowers, as M&D Farm already offers so much beauty. Our packages also include tables, chairs, lounge pieces, umbrellas, and accent décor, among other items, helping reduce rental needs.
Reserving a tent is recommended in case of inclement weather. If rain is expected during ceremony time, the ceremony is typically moved to the barn, and dinner takes place under the tent in the dining courtyard. Couples reserve a tent by placing a deposit with the rental company and can wait up to 72 hours before the event to make their final decision. Tent pricing depends on the type and size selected.
There are several hotels, inns, B&Bs, and vacation rentals in the area. Because M&D Farm is strategically located between Albany and Hudson, most couples choose to block rooms in one or both locations (Albany is about 25 minutes away, and Hudson is about 35 minutes). Most guests are shuttled from their accommodations to the venue, with just a few arriving by car and parking on site. Our vendor list also includes recommended lodging and transportation companies experienced with M&D Farm events.
We love pets and know they’re part of the family! With prior approval, pets are welcome to be part of your celebration for a small additional fee per pet (maximum of two). This helps us ensure the property remains well cared for and the event flows smoothly for everyone—two- and four-legged guests alike.
The Day of Event Site Rental includes a 13-hour rental window for a 6-hour wedding celebration. The 6-hour period begins at pre-ceremony (which starts 30 minutes before the ceremony itself). Check-in begins at 10:00am, and check-out is by 11:00pm, when all events must end to comply with town ordinances. The same 6-hour event window applies to the 2-Night Stay Site Rental package. The 13-hour rental period offers plenty of time for vendor setup and breakdown. When possible, we also allow for a pre-set the day before the event, depending on the schedule. Vendors are welcome to stay after the event to pack out comfortably.
Yes, there is! The Day of Event Site Rental package includes access to the M&D Farm Suite, which features a bedroom with an adjacent full bathroom on the ground floor, along with its private back patio. If you’d like additional space in the house for the wedding party to get ready, we offer a Day of House Rental add-on for an extra fee. You can decide and confirm this closer to your event, depending on your needs.
Reserving your date at M&D Farm is a simple process! Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll send you our contract with your details filled in for your convenience. Our payment schedule is: - First Installment: 25% of the selected rental package, due at signing. - Second Installment: 25% due 30 days after the first payment. - Final Installment: Remaining balance and any additional fees due 120 days before the event.
We’re proud to offer an in-house service that’s truly part of the M&D Farm experience. Because we know the property inside and out, we bring a deep understanding of what works beautifully here. Our support starts as soon as you book, not months later. We call it co-design and planning because we collaborate with you, guiding vendor choices and shaping a celebration that feels uniquely yours. We create a personalized timeline and coordinate before and on the wedding day to ensure smooth flow. This service has a reasonable additional fee considering the expertise included.
Our entire wedding season (from late May through early October) is considered peak. At M&D Farm, we believe your wedding should be as unique as your love story. That’s why we host only a limited number of weddings each year, ensuring an experience that feels exclusive, authentic, and entirely yours.
We don’t have an off-peak season per se. Once our last wedding takes place in early October, the venue closes for the season. While we don’t host events during the winter, we’re still available for future bookings and happy to connect via email, phone, or FaceTime. Site visits resume in the late spring.
New York State is not a BYOB state. Both food and beverages, including alcohol, must be provided and served by the caterer hired for your event, and that caterer must own a valid New York State full liquor license. All of our recommended caterers meet this requirement.
M&D Farm is a private outdoor garden venue with gravel, grass, and natural terrain throughout the property. While we embrace the natural character of our setting, we’re committed to working with couples to accommodate specific guest needs wherever reasonably possible. We’re happy to talk through details during your site visit or through further communication.
Yes, our parking facility has room to accommodate 42 cars. We recommend bus shuttle services be hired to transport guests from their accommodation to M&D Farm for their convenience.
