In 2013, my passion for flowers started when I landed a job at a local flower shop. My traditional design skills mixed with my trained eye from the fashion industry has helped shape what my design style is today- whimsical, ethereal, & extremely detailed. I consider my arrangements & installations to be a sculptures & am inspired by nature and it’s immense growth & colors, Dutch Master paintings, & the 60s psychedelic movement.

Katya Rusin established Lavka Flowers with the singular goal of revisioning the sentiment and enjoyment of what was once a humble act; the giving and accepting of flowers. As the lead designer, Katya is inspired most by art and it's a visual quality that connects people. She translates this visual quality through the use of color to transform individual flowers into a collective whole. Katya achieves her designs by utilizing the elements of design with an appreciation for texture.
