With a background in Photography, I am fascinated by all things visual and design. My work brings a sense of elevation to any space. Inspired by Japanese Ikebana, tropical flowers like orchids, and fabulous weird things that are out of the ordinary, I genuinely believe that flowers can change the world. Years ago, I read this poem by Mary Oliver. No longer inspired by my tech start-up desk job, I thought to myself, ‘what is it I would like to spend my life doing?’. I turned to the first job I ever had in high school, being a florist, and began Wild. Over the years, I have discovered such meaning in creating with my hands. My lush, romantic, organic aesthetic is inspired by the natural world; the untamed and ephemeral beauty of flowers. In each of my designs, I look to reflect on the unique allure of the seasons by combining the traditional and more the uncommon together. Based in New York City, my team crafts bespoke designs for weddings and events throughout the tri-state area, across the Hudson Valley, and beyond! Floriconvento is the culmination of a love for nature, the textures and nuances of our beautiful Earth, and an interpretation of the emotions we feel, spoken in the language of botanicals. As the creative director and founder, the botanical art we prepare here at Floriconvento comes from the heart and hopes to create intrigue, stimulate the butterflies in your stomach and leave you in awe of the vibrance of the myriad of plants and flowers the world provides us. While being flexible in style, our motif is the presence of tropical elements juxtaposing seasonal florals, as well as live plants, fruits, dried materials; the sky is the limit.

Bellezza Decor is an event design and event decor company based in the New York City area. Bellezza is the love child of husband and wife team Paul and Ellen Somuah, which began in July of 2018. Ellen, the creative mind behind Bellezza, has a natural penchant for interior design and fashion, which guide her event designs and floral arrangement. Ellen’s design and stylistic talents are rooted in her early years in Italy, where she was expose to fashion and arts. She aims to create masterful event designs that curtail to the preference and style of each client.

Verde Flowers is an event design company run by married partners Michael Gonzalez and Vanessa Polanco. Since its inception in 2005, their creativity and attention to detail has adorned events throughout the New York Metro area and the Hudson Valley. Michael has over 20 years of experience in floral design and event décor, and is a highly skilled artist. Prior to Verde Flowers, Michael worked with leading floral design companies in Manhattan, giving him the opportunity to work with an extensive client list and experiment with a variety of approaches.
