“We absolutely loved working with The Hook Club. Our amazing planner, Greenhouse Events, recommended THC, and we were sold immediately after meeting with Dan. He is super relaxed, nice, and so knowledgable. Dan and THC team made planning super easy for us. They took time to hear about our hopes and helped recommend different band sizes for us. We hadn’t heard of a DJ band before, but loved the idea of some live music with the versatility to play all sorts of music, but our venue wasn’t very big and we also didn’t want to break the bank and hire a huge band. We chose the 4 piece DJ band with singer, sax, drums, and DJ. We knew we LOVED the sax, so we also had the sax play for cocktail hour (shout out to Elijah, who was amazing), and it was one of the best parts of the night. For planning music, they sent out a very detailed and thorough spreadsheet with more songs than one could imagine, and we could rate ones we liked the most, choose ones we definitely wanted or didn't, and choose specific songs for important moments. We met a couple times to review music choices as well. One of our biggest fears with a DJ was that they'd talk too much and be a little annoying, but Dan did a great job as MC, and was very low-key like we asked but announced important moments clearly. Dan and all the musicians had such great energy and got everyone on the dance floor. Our vocalist, Christen, was also amazing — her voice was spectacular, and she was such an amazing performer and got everyone involved in the music and dancing. So many people told us how much they loved the music and the energy, and had never heard of a DJ band but thought it was an amazing concept and the addition of live music over tracks added extra excitement and fun. THC also helped out with lighting (uplights and dance lights), and worked with our fantastic planner and the venue to help us decide the best setup. Ultimately, we loved working with THC. Their DJ-band setup is unique and adds so much variety to your music while allowing for some of the energy that comes from live performers. We danced the night away and had an absolute blast. 100% would recommend THC to anyone!”

Nick and his team brought us our first drinks of the night, we’re so attentive to where my husband and I were during the reception - If we left the room for a moment, he didn’t play any of our requested songs he knew we’d want to be present for! The biggest compliment we receive from our wedding guests is still about Nick and the music - songs were played for just the right amount of time and he does an amazing job of keeping the energy up ALL NIGHT. One of my main goals for our reception was keeping the dance floor packed the whole time and Nick did just that. “Miggy with Amplify was the perfect choice for our wedding day. On multiple occasions Miggy went above and beyond what was asked of him. He went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for our day. We cannot thank or recommend Miggy enough! The ceremony was perfect, we did not notice him nor was he intrusive in any way. It was perfectly set up and everything went without a hitch. For our reception Miggy was perfect, he was the best MC we could have asked for. Our entrance was timed perfectly and our dances went great. He was attentive to everything happening and always accommodated us. The cold sparks added so much to our day! Once again, Miggy went above and beyond in ways we cannot thank him enough! You would not have known our wedding was dry because Miggy kept the hits coming and didn't stop the entire night. “We truly cannot say enough incredible things about DJ Jean! He was absolutely AMAZING and such a huge part of what made our wedding day so unforgettable. From start to finish, he was professional, organized, and so easy to work with. He really took the time to understand our vision, our vibe, and the kind of energy we wanted throughout the night; and he executed it flawlessly. Every single “must play” song we included in our initial questionnaire was played, which meant so much to us. Once the dance floor opened, it stayed PACKED the entire night; seriously, most of our guests didn’t leave! The energy was unreal. The Photo Booth added such a fun touch to the evening and was definitely a huge hit with all the funny props! It also left us with a full digital album of all of our guests having the time of their lives and was immediately available for us to look at (which came in handy while we waited for our wedding photos to come back). Everyone wont stop talking about how fun/perfect our wedding was and these guys were definitely the reason. Adam D, our main contact, was always quick to respond and always available when it came to answering our questions. Our DJ, George, was incredible, not only keeping the energy high all night but also stepping in to help coordinate the evening.
