Where do we even begin- We hired the Opal Affair for wedding Day of Coordination and it was by far the best choice (and money) for our wedding day- Kirsten and Katy made it the absolute best day of our lives!! In the year of planning whenever I had a timeline questions, Kirsten was so quick and helpful in responding and then in the month and week prior to wedding day, she stepped in and took over vendor comms and made sure all the little details that made the day unique and personalized were covered. We had Katy onsite with us and from rehearsal to day of, she helped keep things running smoothly, made sure the bar didn’t run dry and stepped in when health emergencies demanded action and took charge. All couples need Dana and her team with Thyme & Details for their big day. We hired Dana as a day of coordinator but she is so much more than that. She went to countless vendor meeting and kept track of all of my overly detailed instructions to make sure each piece of our day (timeline, vendor contracts, etc) worked with those details. When the venue dropped the ball, others got details wrong, or vendors fell through, Dana was always a step ahead and came up with even better solutions than our original plans. Dana really knows the ins and outs of organizing a wedding, is in tune with the Columbus wedding scene, and has incredibly valuable connections. Overall we were blown away by Dana and her team’s professionalism and dedication to our wedding. Dana’s communications were always prompt, detailed, and thorough every step of the way, making the planning process a breeze. She lead our rehearsal too which is exactly what we needed. She curated a list of fantastic vendors to meet our wishes and constraints (aka, our budget). She brought a wealth of nuanced advice for the “tricky-ness” which, we all know, is associated with wedding events. In the month leading up to the wedding, Cora asked key questions about the ceremony and reception that we wouldn't have even thought of on our own. Whenever little hiccups or problems arose on the big day, they were quick to fix the issue and didn't bring it to our attention (I only know this because we were taking photos and I overheard Cora actively solving an issue with guest meals). April was FANTASTIC!! I was unsure whether or not I wanted a coordinator- I had a hard time “giving up” control of my big day. When I first spoke with April- I knew that she was THE ONE! Kind, patient, understanding, and also a little bit of a perfectionist. ;) I hired April as “Day of Coordinator” only. April took everything I gave her on my wedding day and ran with it. She took my planning binder and I said “Good Luck!” She made it all happen! She quickly and effortlessly made my dream wedding perfect. She helped with decor, setting up, getting my dress on, helping me use the bathroom, putting my shoes on… anything you could think of!! And the professionalism and kindness was next level! A few days/weeks later, my bridesmaids told me about little fires that April put out that I had no idea about- problems with the DJ, the groomsmen trying to get drunk before walking down the aisle (April stopped them), and our Happily Ever After sign that kept falling. She handled all of this without me even knowing! The best decision I made (besides who to marry) on the day of my wedding was hiring April!! You won’t regret it!!

We hired Michelle Knutson for our November 2025 Palm Springs wedding and truly could not be happier with our experience. We had a fairly small event, so we went with the day-of-coordinator package. Michelle truly went above and beyond just the day-of coordinating. She coordinated a couple intros zooms, got in touch with our venue and all of our vendors beforehand and brought us solutions when we realized we were going to be rained on. The day of she was a straight shooter - direct and ran a tight ship. But she was also warm, friendly and upbeat. Her assistant even took care of my dog for me and made sure he was fed and walked! We are forever grateful to her and her team for making our day so special. 10/10 recommend!
