I am a wedding day of coordinator who is passionate about making your best day ever seamless and stress free! I am great at problem solving and filling in any gaps to where I am needed for your special day. I will ensure that you and your family and friends can relax and enjoy the celebration while I maintain the good times. I am your go to person for your day so no loved ones are working for your wedding.

I work at a wedding venue now so I have learned a lot more about behind the scenes than most coordinators will ever even see! I have first hand training from one of the best in the wedding industry. I’ve been coordinating at this venue for 3 years and now would like to branch out to help couples all over Michigan at any venue of their choosing. It is my passion to be a couples biggest advocate on their best day ever.

    Words truly can't describe how fitting the name "Joyful Moments by Marissa" is. We originally hired Marissa as our day-of coordinator for the reception, but from the start she was willing to do so much more. She was there for our rehearsal, helped organize our ceremony, decorated the reception space, and constantly went above and beyond anything we expected. What really amazed us was when our original reception venue unexpectedly closed just a few weeks before our wedding. Marissa immediately jumped in and helped us find a new venue that fit both our vision and our budget. In a moment that felt incredibly stressful, she made us feel completely supported. Marissa has such a laid-back, calming presence, which made the entire process so much more enjoyable. No matter what came up, she made everything feel manageable and kept us focused on celebrating our day. Not only did we feel special, but our guests did too. We received so many compliments about how beautiful everything was and how authentically "us" the day felt. Thank you, Marissa, for helping us fully embrace our culture, our family, and our friends throughout the entire process. Before hiring Marissa, we prayed for a guardian angel to help guide us through wedding planning, and that's exactly what we got. We truly can't recommend her enough. She made the whole experience so enjoyable that we'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!

    AMAZING!

    Working with Joyful Moments by Marissa felt like partnering with a friend rather than just hiring a planner. From our first conversation, she was quick to respond to every question and gave us thoughtful advice that made the planning process feel manageable instead of overwhelming. On our wedding day, when a medical emergency happened, Marissa and her team handled it with such grace that our guests barely noticed anything was off—everything kept flowing perfectly. She managed every detail with us, whether it was coordinating with vendors, setting up the bar order or making sure the ceremony ran exactly as we imagined. We got so close to Marissa throughout the planning that saying goodbye after the wedding actually felt like a breakup! lol Honestly, we can't recommend her enough.

I only take one wedding a day. Depending on if you want rehearsal assistance will depend if I have multiple weddings in a weekend or just yours.
When you book with me, I am yours for the entire event, unless we customized a package specifically for your big day!
I am a one woman show! I do not normally do any heavy lifting (tables, chairs, arbors, etc) but I have no problem helping with those things if I have family or friends of yours assisting me!
I am not a full wedding planner, yet. I do eventually want to get to there! I have been working at a venue for 4 years as the office and bar manager and one of the coordinators. I will still be working at that venue (my in laws own it) but I wanted to reach more couples across Michigan at the venue(s) of their choice to coordinate their best day ever! It really is my passion to help make your day as smooth and joyful as possible. I have setup and/or coordinated around 40 weddings and counting!
I am VERY flexible! No wedding is the same. Some couples need more help while others just need a small amount of support. Some couples have a much tighter budget while others do not want to worry about a thing! My pricing usually ranges from $600 to $1200. But I have gone even lower dependent on location, work hours and other details. Do not hesitate to reach out and ask me, as I’m willing to work with anyone. I am very transparent and friendly.
