My love for photography started when I was young, and flourished as I continued to educate myself in the art and technicalities of photography while attending the College for Creative studies where I received my BFA in Photography in 2016. I absolutely LOVE love, and my biggest goal on your wedding day or during your session is to make sure you're constantly smiling, laughing, and enjoying every moment you experience. I love all of the little moments in life, and I try to showcase those emotions and feelings through every image I capture. I'm based in Lower Michigan, but I am more than happy to travel worldwide for you!

Not only do I have my BFA in Photography, but I've been traveling the world photographing moments of love and life for years. I truly care about YOU and your day, and I want you to feel as happy as possible. I'll sit down in person with you, talk on the phone, or email back and forth with you as often as needed to help create the perfect timeline for your day and plan out how we'll make our photo magic happen. I'll treat you with the respect you deserve as a client, and the kindness and empathy you deserve as a friend. I individualize each session to each person / couple, because I want the photos to fit you perfectly!

    Chrissy Jenks Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Chrissy was quick to respond, kind in her communication, and clearly knowledgeable about what she does. On the day of our wedding, she did not overwhelm us with photo taking and was extremely helpful in finding beautiful spots to capture all the special moments. The final photos exceeded our expectations - the quality was fantastic, with a great variety of shots that perfectly documented our day. We are thrilled with the work Chrissy did and would highly recommend her to any couple looking for a talented, professional wedding photographer.

    Whimsical, magical, dreamy photos!

    Chrissy is BEYOND AMAZING to work with - her photos are dreamy, whimsical, magical and make your heart so happy to look at! She was our photographer for our engagement photos, a boudoir shoot, and our wedding photos. Not only is she talented, but she is intelligent, creative, and flexible. Every photo-related snafu we had (including an engagement photo session where we forgot one of our outfits), Chrissy had a solution and handled it with grace. Chrissy is customer-service oriented, communicates clearly and effectively, and is kind and comforting as most of us are not used to having professional photos taken! If you are looking for an awesome photographer, look no further - Chrissy is your girl!

I'm currently based out of Lower Mid-Michigan in the Livingston County area! I always travel across the state for shoots, though. I LOVE to travel! I even had the beautiful opportunity to travel to Scotland, Germany, and Poland to photograph weddings! No border line is too far for me to travel for your love story. I even offer discounted Wedding / Elopement Collections for some unique locations / venues! I include 120 miles roundtrip in all of my pricing, but I do have a travel fee for additional mileage.
I proudly use a Canon 5d Mark iv as well as a Mark ii camera body. I mostly use my 50mm 1.4 or 70-200mm 2.8 lenses during your wedding day, but I have a range of other lenses that I love to use as well! I also have a Canon 430ex Flash for those dance floor shots, as well as countless memory cards and batteries to keep me going all day long.
If what you are looking for straight forward, formally posed photographs, then I must tell you that I am probably not the photographer for you. I enjoy the whimsy & romance in a love story, and the magic & excitement of a new adventure. I have more of a photojournalistic, spontaneous approach to creating photographs rather than stiff, forced, posed photos!
I began taking photography classes when I started high school back in 2007. Since then, I have received my Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from the College for Creative Studies, and I've been exploring the craft in every form imaginable. I have classical, technical training as well as fine art theoretic training in the beautiful world of photography.
Although weddings and couple shoots are where my heart and soul lay, I do many other forms of photography regularly as well! I do creative portraiture, family portraits, high school seniors, boudoir, food photography, and even pet photography as well! I LOVE new ideas and people, so chances are I'll be up for anything you throw at me! Don't be afraid to share your ideas.
I do! A Second Shooter is an absolutely fantastic option to add onto your wedding day! I offer Wedding Collections that include a Second Shooter, however you can always add it on a la carte to any of my other collections! Message me for more details.
Most couples book their photographer one year to 18 months in advance. This guarantees you get the vendor you want! I book up fast, so the sooner we can chat and book your date, the better!
You will receive a link to your online gallery full of your edited, high-res JPG files within 6-8 weeks of your photoshoot / event!
I always edit all of my photographs! Over the years I have developed my own unique style of editing that I apply to every photograph I create. This includes color, toning, black & white application, and minor blemish touch-ups. I do offer more intensive editing upon request.
A First Look is a designated time created for the couple getting married to share an intimate moment of seeing each other for the first time BEFORE the ceremony. These moments are truly beautiful, emotional, and exciting! Logistically they can help with tight timelines, too.
Yay! I'm SO excited to capture your Happily Ever After! In order to complete your booking with me, I require a $500 deposit and signed contract to secure your wedding date in my calendar.
