My name is Brettina and I am a wedding and family photographer. I live in Michigan but travel all over the world! My goal is to make you feel comfortable and beautiful, because you are. As a part of the LGBTQ+ community, I strive for inclusivity in my personal life as well as my photography. I am a huge advocate for capturing the world you see before you and not a fake perception of that world. I am welcoming of all and will photograph all regardless of race, religion, gender expression and identity, sexual orientation, age, size, ability, ethnicity, or culture. Our world is diverse and my portfolio should be too.

I not only capture those perfectly posed moments, but all of the candid moments in between. Some people call this "documentary" style and I agree because at the end of the day our job is document your day. I'll capture the gorgeous details and the big moments, but also focus on the small moments with grandparents, siblings, etc. It's your day and I am here for it.

    Amazing!

    Brettina was absolutely amazing to work with. We could not have picked a better photographer for our day. She made great use of every minute, and in our meetings and correspondence talked through things until we felt super comfortable. We are so thrilled with the photos!!!

    Best Day Ever!

    Brettina did an absolutely wonderful job with both our engagement photos as well as our very special day last August. She is extremely professional and a delight to work with. We decided to add her second shooter package and we could not be happier with the results. The forever content we have is truly incredible! Brettina will not disappoint!

    Brettina Mae Photography provided us with an amazing experience in every way! From the very beginning, Brettina and her team were easy to communicate with, incredibly supportive, and completely approachable. As soon as we booked them, we knew we were in good hands. On the day of our wedding, Brettina helped keep us on schedule with our photography and also kept us both calm and collected throughout the entire day.     Brettina was fantastic to work with! At the very least, the photos for both our engagement session and wedding are all fantastic; she captured our ambiance/vibe really well. Of equal, perhaps greater value, Brettina went above and beyond the day of the wedding. She dealt with my stubborn/weight boutonnière and bustled my wife's dress, among other things. These were definitely not her responsibilities - she offered to help and we are incredibly grateful. I would 130% recommend, and hope to work with Brettina again in the future (perhaps when we add another dog in the family!).

    Amazing Wedding Photographer

    Brettina was so amazing to work with as our wedding photographer. I had so much fun taking photos with her and she did a great job making us feel comfortable. Her photos captured the love and joy we felt throughout the day. We got beautiful sneak peaks the day after the wedding and I can’t wait to see the rest.

Yes. There would be an additional cost for travel accommodations. I have a few places on my photo bucket list that I will offer discounted travel rates to including: Hawaii, Italy, New Zealand, Seattle, NYC
For weddings, expect at least 4-12 weeks to receive all of your photos as they take the most time to go through and edit. For any other shoots, expect 1-4 weeks. In my busier months (ie. October) these lead times may be extended.
My editing style can be considered true-to-tone or true color. I do not over edit images. I will not edit your body to make you look skinnier/younger/etc. I believe everyone is beautiful and they should showcase that beauty. I do edit for lighting and colors to really make your images stand out from the rest and make them more aesthetically pleasing.
No. I provide a print release for all of my photo sessions so you are able to print your photos where you please.
All of my 10, 8 or 6 hour packages include a second shooter. Contact me for all other inquiries.
You can expect about 100 to 300 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package, number of guests, venue type, and other factors.
In my 8 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my colleagues or my contracted assistant. I’ll also provide you with a list of photographers from the many networking groups I’m in, so you can find the perfect replacement.
