“My experience with Chicago Top DJ was amazing. From the very first interaction we had with John, he was on top of his stuff. You might as well call him a wedding planner as well. This man went above and beyond to make our wedding night unforgettable. There were things that my wife and I totally didn’t even think of and were very impressed. Aside from the DJing, John was so well organized and came up with an entire timeline of our wedding, even for the church where only we would be there! The whole process was great as well. He would give us multiple music style playlists and have us favorite the ones we liked. Then he’d give us an even more refined playlist based off our favorites! The whole experience was cool and made it that much easier for planning the wedding. The wedding night itself was insane! We let him read the crowd and we personally wanted a club/dance vibe all night and he gave us that and then some! We never stopped dancing from the time the music went on to the time it stopped. He also was great at NOT taking others music requests unless we specifically gave the verbal okay to do so. “I've been to my fair share of weddings the last few years and I can definitively say that Yazz Events is one of the best live wedding bands I have ever seen. My calves were more sore the day after the wedding than when I ran the Chicago Marathon a few weeks prior. That's how hard I was dancing all night. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and the MC, Hector, was able to speak and instruct guests in both languages. SO AWESOME! They also played the perfect blend of songs in both languages. Many of our Spanish speaking guests had not seen a live band like this before and they loved it. Amy, the owner, was amazing with planning and giving suggestions for the setlist. We also hired the jazz duo for our rehearsal dinner. They added such a calming presence to that night. 10/10 all around. Thank you Yazz Events!”

“Can't say enough great things about Paul! From start to finish, Paul put my fiance and I at ease with his expertise and advice. In our first call, he took time to ask us about our vision and used that to tailor his recommendations. After booking with Paul, he provides you with access to a portal that lets you easily organize all the planned music as well as give him guidance for must plays, like to hear, do not play, etc. It also has a section where you can see popular songs for various parts of the wedding and/or for different genres, which we really needed and appreciated. After that, you meet with Paul to cover your selections and nail down more of the timeline for the day itself. Organized to a T. Most importantly, Paul read the dance floor perfectly, responding and adapting to the vibe as the night went on. He was the perfect blend of energetic but not at all obnoxious (have definitely seen corny DJs at other weddings - this is NOT Paul), his assistant was great, and he worked side by side not only with us but also our other vendors and coordinators. Not exaggerating that close to a dozen guests raved about Paul specifically. Direct quote the next morning from a guest from New Jersey for our Chicago wedding: "He was FANTASTIC, I'm gonna fly him out for our anniversary party!" While I'm not sure if Paul's radius extends that far, I am sure it would be the East Coast's loss. You can't go wrong.”
