Established in 1977 by Charlie DiGiovanni, Music Creations has been part of the Chicagoland event scene for decades. Today, his brother Tommy carries that legacy forward, combining over 30 years of DJ experience with a passion for creating an unforgettable once in a lifetime wedding experience. Decades of satisfied clients have made Music Creations a reliable and respected name in Chicagoland's DJ community.

It all starts with top of the line equipment so your guests will be able to comfortably hold conversations while still enjoying an energetic and immersive music experience. Our lighting design is also fully controllable and cohesive to enhance the experience and vibe. We offer everything from uplighting, disco balls, moving heads and more. With over 30 years of experience in most every genre of music we always mix live and play to the audience with a focus on a packed dance floor. Our goal is simple: to create a wedding that fits your budget, feels effortless, distinctive, and completely your own.

    exactly what we needed for our wedding day

    Tommy DiGiovanni from Music Creations was exactly what we needed for our wedding day. From our first conversation, he was professional and punctual, answering all our questions and making sure he understood what we wanted. His knowledge of music and ability to read the crowd was fantastic—he picked songs that kept our guests dancing the entire night, and we got compliments on the selection all evening. Tommy took the time to learn about us and our preferences, which really showed in how he performed. He made our reception feel special and fun, and honestly, we couldn't imagine our day without him.     Thank You So Much!

    From the get-go, we knew Tommy would be the DJ for us. Tommy was so knowledgeable about trends was able to keep our dance floor full, despite it being a Sunday afternoon reception!     Great wedding DJ

    Party comes to life with DJ Tommy!

    Tommy is an excellent DJ. He is a true artist and a true professional. He was incredibly communicative, super easy to work with, has a fantastic wealth of music knowledge. Our party was 60's and 70's themed and he absolutely nailed it! He had all the hits from those time periods while still playing some modern stuff to keep the younger people on the dance floor. We had compliments about the music from all of the generations in attendance. Most importantly, Tommy really knows how to study a crowd and keep the party going. He was great with our timeline of events for the celebration, keeping things mellow but fun for cocktail hour, really smooth for dinner, then opening it up and creating a party atmosphere for dance floor time. He has really cool uplighting that he was able to bring and set up around the venue. It really enhanced the vibe. He also has a disco ball set up that was so cool! Both the venue and the photographer noted to us that they thought he was really great to work with and did an awesome job. Tommy really made the party come to life! We would absolutely recommend working with him!

A suit and tie
Yes, When making requests I always suggest you provide a must play list and a general play list. Since I play to the energy of the crowd, I find this usually works best. I'm also open to a do no play list.
I arrive approximately 2 hours before the event begins to be sure I'm set up and playing music as guests arrive.
Yes, we can handle all formal announcement from bridal introductions to working with photographers for group shots.
Generally speaking we are upbeat with a focus on music flow. The overall goal is having people on the dance floor and that is always unique and makes it a lot of fun.
Yes, we have extensive experience with latin and Italian dance music. We are happy to provide any special music upon request.
Yes, you can always extend as long as you let us know a few minutes before the event ends.
