He created a song list for dinner and cocktail hour that we absolutely loved and was exactly what we were looking for, and we’ve been listening to it regularly even since the wedding! And multiple guests came up to us during the wedding to say how much they were enjoying the music. Even though we had a smaller wedding, he did a great job of reading guests’ energy and there were always people having a good time on the dance floor! As a queer couple looking for a DJ to set a tone of celebration and queer joy for the evening, working with Stephen was honestly such a gift. “Overall, we had a good experience with our DJ. He arrived on time, was professional throughout the evening, and kept our guests on the dance floor for most of the night. Some of our requested songs were included, but I had hoped more of our playlist would be incorporated into the evening. We had paid for a vendor meal for him, so I wasn't sure what had happened, and it didn't feel like the best time to bring it up while we were in the middle of such a special moment. “We received lots of compliments about our wedding, but our DJ was hands down the most complimented part. Like by a lot. I remember someone said “Lily. Your DJ is 100 out of 10.” and our venue coordinator (who has seen a lot of weddings) was like “Seriously, where did you find this guy?” and said they need to add him to their list of recommended DJs. I also had multiple guests ask if he was single… From the ceremony music and microphones, to the cocktail hour musical ambiance, to the first dance and speeches, Obehi was locked in and working the room to make sure everything went smoothly and ensure everyone was having a great time. He had all kinds of fancy equipment and was there early with bells on to get it all set up. It was all seamless with zero hiccups. He was out on the dance floor hyping people up, dancing, and just giving 110% all night long. Obehi is one heck of a DJ. He was genuine, warm, and kind every step of the way. He met with us a few weeks before the wedding and made us feel like it was his life’s purpose to get every detail perfect for us.
