“Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”

“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“We found Brandon through our wedding planner Christine Garrison of CMG Events. She suggested him because we were interested in having someone play acoustic guitar and singing during the wedding. After chatting with Brandon, we hired him to play the guitar for our ceremony, act as a wandering minstrel during the cocktail hour, and DJ the entire event. Our ceremony took place outdoors in an open lawn area. Brandon did a great job with setting up the sound. Everyone was able to hear both us and the officiant clearly. The acoustic rendition of Heartbeats (Jose Gonzalez) and Wildflowers (Tom Petty) he played for our processional and recessional were beautiful and really set the mood we were looking for. Brandon also did a great job DJing the event. He was able to take a small number of songs and expand the playlist to not only fit our tastes but keep the party hopping. We had expected that we would have minimal dancing and that our crowd would mostly just sit around chatting. However, Brandon was able to keep the energy up and the dance floor going throughout the night. It far exceeded our expectations and made the night really memorable. He was extremely professional throughout the planning process. We had several calls leading up to the wedding, and he made it easy to communicate what we were looking for in the event. We added songs to a few different playlists which he used as a jumping off point. He also provided suggestions for all the important moments (e.g., processionals, recessional, first dance, grand entrance). His contract and other documents were also clear and always sent promptly. On the day of Brandon arrived on time for set up and did a great job with all aspects (sound, DJing, acoustic performance, and lighting) of the event. He looked extremely professional and was communicative throughout the day, constantly checking in with the planner and us to make sure everything was going well. If he wasn’t sure about a song, he’d ask before playing it. Best of all, he was extremely reasonably priced. His assistant, Josh, was also very nice and did a great job.”

We put playlists together because we wanted certain songs playing, but by the time the band came on (we just gave them general guidance beforehand, nothing too prescriptive), their set list was exactly what we were looking for and they completely set the vibe and energy of the party with little direction. We hired them for our ceremony music, which they were able to do with the live guitarist as well as use a speaker for walk down the aisle songs. Everything went seamlessly and exactly how we imagined, but somehow even better. Working with Lucky Devils was an amazing experience from end. They were also very positive and lively on-site, which made us and the guests have so much fun. We have a family band and Lucky Devils even let them play a live song, which will always be one of our favorite memories from our wedding day. Lucky Devils is a one stop shop and can help you with anything, as they have such range- you can hire for your ceremony AND reception (even if in different locations) as an emcee, DJ, live band, etc. and that's exactly what we needed. They have tons of clients at one time but somehow made us feel so special and like we were their only client. Music is so important to us, and honestly I have been putting together a playlist for years, so we were looking for the best group possible to host the experience we were looking for. Lucky Devils was exactly it and it was so amazing to see this music come to life. They brought so much energy, fun, and connection to our guests, we still talk about it! “My husband and I hired DJ Chaun and his wife lya's services for our wedding based on word of mouth from a colleague's experience at her daughter's quince. We knew we needed a Dj and wanted a photo-booth option. I reached out and received an almost instantaneous response and quote for services by lya. Their website was easy to use, the promptness in response to details/ questions were exceptional. lya even was more than willing to tour the venue to pre-approve set up within the space ahead of time. The price was right within our budget and almost seemed too good to be true in comparison to the quotes given by others for the same services. I'll be honest, my hopes weren't the highest, as we budgeted minimally for these services. I figured "you get what you pay for." BUT I was BLOWN away by Chaun & lya's professionalism, promptness and overall services. Chaun was given very vague information as far as music selections. He was able to quickly read the cues and likes of the guests and kept people on the dance floor during the majority of the reception. Our guests were not whining down, as they normally do closer to the close of the evening. We ended up paying for them to stay an additional hour (again-at a reasonable price) and they were more than willing to stay and accommodate. I wanted our wedding to be nothing less than memorable and fun for ourselves and our guests. Chaun & lya gave us exactly that! So so happy with their services. We also received our digital Photo Booth gallery (which was also a hit) four days following the wedding and it was so awesome looking at the pictures and reminiscing on such a great night during on honeymoon! 100% recommend!”
