“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

He did such a great job playing the song requests we had on the guitar, and he even learned a few that was very important for us to be played! We got SO many compliments from the guests of the wedding on how well he preformed- including family members that are singers and performers themselves! Then for the reception, he brought the PARTY as the DJ. He was able to really capture the vibe of what we were looking for as well as what the guests wanted to hear. Prior to the wedding, he was very attentive to what we were looking for in terms of song request and do not play lists. He also provided a very large song library of suggestions, as well as songs he knows how to play via Spotify- this made our lives SO much easier and was such a great resource! We also rented uplighting and cold fireworks for our wedding though Philip, which really elevated the party atmosphere. “I've been to my fair share of weddings the last few years and I can definitively say that Yazz Events is one of the best live wedding bands I have ever seen. My calves were more sore the day after the wedding than when I ran the Chicago Marathon a few weeks prior. That's how hard I was dancing all night. We had a bilingual wedding (Spanish/English) and the MC, Hector, was able to speak and instruct guests in both languages. SO AWESOME! They also played the perfect blend of songs in both languages. Many of our Spanish speaking guests had not seen a live band like this before and they loved it. Amy, the owner, was amazing with planning and giving suggestions for the setlist. We also hired the jazz duo for our rehearsal dinner. They added such a calming presence to that night. 10/10 all around. Thank you Yazz Events!”

From the moment the reception began to the final song of the night, they helped make our wedding unforgettable. Our DJ was Nick, and he was an absolute rockstar! He was friendly, fun, and incredibly adaptive to the vibe of the room. Not only did he keep the energy high and the dance floor packed, but he also joined us and our guests out there on the floor throughout the night, which just added to the celebration! It honestly felt like he was part of our crowd—reading the room perfectly, playing all the right songs, and keeping the party flowing seamlessly. We had so many random requests of him and he truly met them all, we can’t say enough good things about him because a DJ is truly such an essential part of the wedding and it wouldn’t have been the same without him. He kept the Photo Booth experience running smoothly and made sure every guest had a blast with it—his friendliness really stood out to us and so many of our friends and family. And then there was Megan—we are SO grateful for her. She was such a kind and warm presence throughout the night. After our photographers left, Megan stepped in and captured so many beautiful, candid moments that we might have otherwise missed. She went above and beyond, taking tons of extra photos and even offered to share them with us afterward, which meant the world. She was consistently helpful, thoughtful, and genuinely seemed excited for us, which made the experience even more special. Together, Nick, Tristen, and Megan were truly a dream team. Their energy, professionalism, and kindness were more than we could have hoped for. They helped make our wedding night not just fun, but absolutely magical. “I truly don't think I can say enough about DJ Carbon! He was the most amazing DJ for our wedding at the Denver Botanic Gardens, and all of our friends and family have been saying so since we got married. Music is a huge part of the life my husband and I share, as I'm sure is the same for many engaged and married couples, so we really wanted to have a DJ that understood that. Well, DJ Carbon not only understood it, but he took great care to personalize the music for our wedding. One major thing that I think sets DJ Carbon apart from other vendors is his flexibility and adaptability. From our first conversation, he was so accommodating and easygoing, which made us feel at ease right away. When our actual wedding day came, he did a great job of going with the flow and adapting to any timeline hiccups/changes. And when it came to the music, he delivered! Between my husband and I and DJ Carbon, we all shared a love of Mac Miller, jazz, and oldies, which he incorporated beautifully into our wedding day. Not only that, but when the dancing portion of the evening began, he picked up on the vibes right away and played the tunes accordingly - so much so that even our catering staff was dancing!
