I am a travel photographer based out of Louisville, Kentucky. I have always been the friend with the camera admiring those around me. We all start this wild journey one way or another. My way? I was introduced to Ansel Adams’ work in a Photo 1 class in high school. How would the kids say this… his black and whites were giving adventure? What I mean is, they were nice. I had already been hiking the Adirondacks for 15 years at that point, why couldn’t I do it? Why couldn’t I take those photos too? I set out to prove to myself I could. Over the past decade I’ve evolved from landscapes to sports to family portraits to weddings. I continue all of those today. I bought my first DSLR camera in 2004 when my now wife, Tracey, and I were taking a cruise to Alaska. For a monumental trip like this, I HAD to get an amazing camera. Those 8.2 megapixels with nine four points had me in LOVE. Ever since then, the ability of a photograph to be able to freeze time; freeze an emotion; freeze a memory has kept me addicted. Whether it’s getting a great angle, finding light that tells the story, or capturing the true personality of someone; it all brings a smile to my face and hopefully yours!
