This is delightfully different elopement + wedding photography! From helicopter elopements and lakeside wedding bashes to hiking engagements to weddings with bouncy houses, I capture the adventurous, quirky, and unique. Based in both New York + California, with travel worldwide, I've photographed couples on 6 continents. My creative, fun, & candid photography uses innovative techniques and unique ideas to get photos that make you look twice. Whether you're saying vows in your backyard or having a 3-day adventure wedding in the rainforest, I'll catch every spontaneous moment of joy and laughter—and plan a few unique shots on top of it all.

Awarded Best of Zola
We worked with Kathryn for our October 2024 Hindu/Jewish blended wedding and were so happy with our decision!! We spoke with MANY photographers during the planning process trying to decide who fit our style and personality leading up to our wedding. Neither of us feel super comfortable in front of the camera so it was important to us that we found someone who truly fit us and what we were looking for. Kathryn's warmth, adventurous spirit, and genuine curiosity about us as a couple really stood out, and we immediately knew she was who we wanted to work with. We had a large wedding with many Hindu/Jewish traditions making the day busy & hectic, but Kathryn's professionalism and calm attitude made us feel at ease. We really appreciated how on top of it she was, sticking to our timeline and facilitating our rather large (and rowdy!) group, all while making the staged photos seamless and the candids from the reception/baraat so special and a true representation our special day. The colors are just magnificent, and we had many guests compliment her work, fun nature, and professionalism throughout the night. Thank you Kathryn for making our day so wonderful!!

Lisa Bettencourt Photography
Rating: 5.0 (10 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,200
  • Serves Sugar Loaf, NY

Since 2014, I have been working as a professional photographer, from dance competitions, to headshots, press events, engagements, weddings, corporate, and picture day in NYC public schools. But no matter where my career has taken me, my favorite moments have always been about capturing love, connection, and togetherness. As your wedding photographer, I promise a relaxed, fun, and creative atmosphere, making sure you feel confident and at ease in front of the camera. My goal is to deliver stunning visuals that will exceed your expectations.

My partner booked Lisa to take photos of our proposal, and we could not be happier with the whole experience!! Not only did she brave a cold night on the brooklyn bridge, but the photos came out absolutely magical. She captured the moment perfectly, and even little side moments with family and friends. She captured every organic moment from tears to laughter, in a beautiful and truthful way. We are so happy with our photos and can’t wait to look back on them for the many years ahead.

From the minute we started talking on the phone, Spencer and I felt taken care of and confident in Rich's ability to capture our lifelong memories. Doing the engagement shoot with him first was so excellent to establish rapport and get us comfortable in front of the camera before our big day. Once it was finally here, it was easy! And the pictures! Rich is a true professional and we are so glad we made the right decision choosing his skills, insight, and professionalism for our wedding!

George was very kind and communicative from the start. He was very flexible in our desire to move to a second location during cocktail hour and made the most of our short time there. He focused on capturing all of the photos we asked for along with really amazing candid shots of guests. He delivered a large amount of photos in short time frame. We can't recommend him enough.

I am a Professional Journalist and Wedding Photographer from the Hudson Valley and NYC with more than 13 years and over 1,000 Weddings of experience, from most cultural and religious backgrounds you can find in New York :) Now Booking the last few of 2026 and 2027.

Awarded Best of Zola
Eddie was so easy to be around that it felt like he was a friend who just happened to be taking photos rather than a professional we hired to be there. We never felt rushed or stressed, he gives clear and easy direction, and he even learned guest's names (and instruction in another language!) to help make everyone feel comfortable. He was patient and able to maintain control even when our large group was easily distracted. We had multiple calls with him to make sure we were on the same page, he always answered emails and texts quickly, and communicating with him was a breeze. Our engagement photos were on the hottest day of 2024 and he helped us get the shots we needed in one take every time, without literally melting. He has a unique eye for capturing candid pics and silhouettes, which is exactly what we wanted. We're in LOVE with our photos and he got them back to us much quicker than we expected. I would hire him again immediately!

  • Serves Sugar Loaf, NY

You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again. That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.

Awarded Best of Zola
We couldn't have asked for a better photographer for our son's wedding than Jessica Yurko. Not only is she an incredibly talented professional, but she’s also a dear friend whose warmth and attention to detail made the whole experience even more special. From the very beginning, Jess and her second shooter Amanda brought so much care and enthusiasm to every moment. She took the time to truly understand our vision, capturing each intimate and candid moment with grace and precision. Her ability to blend into the background while still getting those unforgettable shots was remarkable. The photos are absolutely stunning—each one tells a beautiful story of the day, from the big, joyous moments to the small, quiet ones. Her eye for composition and lighting is unparalleled, and the results speak for themselves. We feel so grateful to have had Jess as both a friend and the photographer for such an important occasion. Her passion for her craft shines through in every shot, and we’ll cherish these memories forever. If you’re looking for someone who combines incredible skill with a genuine, caring spirit, look no further than Jessica Yurko! Thank you for capturing these priceless memories!

Matthew Rigby Photography
Rating: 5.0 (25 reviews)
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $4,000
  • Serves Sugar Loaf, NY

I'm Matthew, a wedding photographer based in Garrison, NY. With a decade as a wedding photographer and 15 years as an educator, I bring two things to every wedding: the ability to document moments as they happen, and the calm to handle whatever the day brings. I prepare carefully, communicate beforehand, and stay present when it's busy. My style is mostly documentary. I blend into the wedding, observing and documenting moments as they happen rather than staging them. Feedback I hear most often is that couples weren't aware of me, but that I got everything. I work with all couples and celebrate every kind of love, and every kind of marriage.

Awarded Best of Zola
We worked with Matthew on our engagement photos and wedding day photos, and we couldn't be happier. He is professional, timely, and made us feel incredibly comfortable in front of the camera (something we're not used to at all). He caught really special moments for us and our family — easily the best pictures of our family dancing! We'll be printing pics and sending them to folks along with their thank-you notes. The day was perfect, and looking at our album afterward just made it all the more perfect.

Lisa was just incredible from start to finish. She had no issues with hopping on calls with us, amazing communication. She helped with our time-line, got family members to listen to directions, patient but firm, such a great person to work with, and of course Lisa's photography is absolutely amazing. Lisa worked with our budget, got the shots we wanted, and the ones we didn't know we wanted. Her 2nd shooter that day was Taylor who also was super nice. Taylor even sent me a picture from her phone so I could post a real sneak preview. Lisa gave us a sneak peak gallery within a week, and full gallery within 2 month. The gift she sent us after was absolutely beautiful. When we need a photographer in NY again, we already know who to call. Thank you Lisa!

A good friend of mine has said that my brand is to care. She isn’t wrong-my brand is one of caring because my being is one of caring. I’ve been a wedding photog for 14+ yrs. I find that being a wedding photog is a gift - I barely have the words to describe how special it feels to be invited into clients’ most momentous & intimate wedding moments over & over again. I’m a champion for the weird & whimsical, the fun & funky - even & especially on wedding days. Plan your day the way you want to, trends be damned. Let your wedding day reflect your joy. That’s what we’re all there to celebrate, anyway. ✨

We were so lucky to have Sweet Alice Photography capture our special day. From the start, Erica and her team were open, compassionate, and kind, always making us feel cared for throughout the process. Their quick responses, attention to detail, and values-driven approach put us at ease and allowed us to truly be present on our wedding day. Erica and Alyssa took the time to remind us to breathe through the stressful moments, and we are hugely grateful to them and the entire Sweet Alice team for making our day absolutely perfect. We feel so lucky to have known them and cannot recommend them highly enough!

Hi I'm Olivia! I am a 22 year old portrait & wedding photographer based in the Hudson Valley, NY. Photography for me is a lifestyle & brings out my creative side. I shot my first wedding in 2022 & immediately fell in love with photographing weddings! I started photography when I was 13 after being inspired by local photographers. If you're new here, I'd love to get to know you & create long lasting memories

If I have a camera in my hands, then I am most definitely smiling. Photography has been my passion since I was a teenager and I love bringing that passion to weddings. I strive to capture all the intimate details that make a wedding truly personal. Don't be surprised if you see me crying during the parent dances, it's one of my favorite moments :)

Awarded Best of Zola
Sarah is firstly a gifted artist and photographer. As you can see she understands space and color in a way that my wife and I clearly do not but more importantly she understands what makes a moment feel special. We asked Sarah to deliver a documentary style wedding experience and she did not fail. When my wife and I chose Sarah, she immediately got to work helping us to plan our wedding day in a way that you might not necessarily expect from a wedding photographer. Sarah was so personal and friendly on the day of our wedding, it felt more like we had a friend taking our pictures as a favor. However, the finished products speak for themselves: our friends and family celebrating, iconic moments of the day, and our love clearly shown throughout. Sarah delivered organization, artistry, and value in a comprehensive package that can’t be beat.

My husband and I could not be happier with our choice to have Caitlinn as our wedding photographer. She is unbelievably talented and has an incredible ability to capture the emotions of each moment. Caitlinn pays close attention to the small details, from the way we held hands to the expressions on our guests' faces, bringing every precious memory to life in her photos. I first met Caitlinn when she was the photographer for my best friend's wedding, which happened to be on one of the coldest days of the year. I’ll never forget Caitlinn’s energy and enthusiasm—despite the chill, she was a warm and positive presence, making everyone feel comfortable and excited. After that, I knew she would be the perfect choice for our wedding as well. We booked Caitlinn for our engagement photos, and it was one of the best decisions we made. Our friends and family couldn’t stop raving about how stunning the photos were! She even joined us on a cold winter hike, creating such a relaxed and fun atmosphere that I told my husband afterward, “I want to be friends with her.” That’s how wonderful she is! On our wedding day, Caitlinn made me feel absolutely incredible. She was professional, timely, and brought a sense of calm and joy that made the day even more special. Caitlinn is so efficient that we received our sneak peek photos the very next day, and they were breathtaking! Despite shooting two weddings after ours, she had all our photos to us within three weeks—unbelievable! I cannot recommend Caitlinn highly enough. Not only is she incredibly talented and attentive to every detail, but she is also the kind of person you want to have around on your special day. Her warmth and positivity light up the room, and we are beyond grateful to have had her as our photographer.

Hey! I'm Nina. I'm a pretty energetic and charismatic person that loves love and enjoys life. Documenting through photo is my favorite thing on this planet. I've been a professional photographer since 2016 but really I've been invested in photography since I was 15 years old. My love for documenting moments came from a desire to capture my own life and that of my friends using disposable cameras, flip phone cameras and point and shoot digital cameras on beach trips with friends. I have used writing, art, and photo to document my life and it is an incredibly special thing to be able to share that with my clients.

Awarded Best of Zola
Short story long. We got married in September 2025 on a bright and somewhat cloudy day in a Historic Lodge in Hudson Valley. Nina was our ONLY photographer that day. I don't know too much about photography, but I do know that on our wedding day the lighting in the building and the grounds was varied and difficult to navigate. I highlight this because the photos that Nina captured and edited were BEYOND SPECTACULAR. Aside from being extremely talented, she was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout the day. She provided us structure prior to the day, but made everything seem seamless and effortless the day of the Wedding. I highly recommend Nina for literally every occasion. I guarantee she will be documenting every life event of ours for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much Nina!

I'm Carroll, a photographer for those who love to live a happy, fun life! I'm married to the most amazing man and together we hike, travel, eat a lot of Chinese food, and watch WAY too many Friends reruns (which explains my crazy love for coffee). I'm also a fur-mom to the two most adorable (and spoiled) little fur-babies, Levi and Chloe. The more you get to know me, you’ll realize how much I love the simple moments of life and to make the most of it all!

Carroll photographed my wedding in September 2023, and she is absolutely phenomenal! She was very responsive and easy to communicate with from day one, and her pricing was clear. If you are having your wedding at Mountain View Manor, she is extremely familiar with the venue, so she knows where to go to get the best shots. She made sure to get all of the classic poses and group shots, but she was also very amenable to my ideas and willing to go outside the box for the extra shots I asked for. Leading up to the wedding and on the day-of, she made me feel comfortable, and the proofs I have seen so far came out amazing! She managed to capture every special moment without being intrusive. I highly recommend working with Carroll if you want a fun, caring, professional, and talented photographer.

Ahh you made it this far and I am so happy that you are here. Come get to know me a little bit better… I am a Hudson Valley photographer who occasionally dips their toes in NJ too. Having fun and capturing special moment with your loved ones and families is what makes my day. I am a girl mom to my favorite tiny human RyRy and a fire fighters’ wife and when you don’t see me behind a camera or working my full-time job as a graphic designer, I am usually soaking up the sun at the beach or outdoors doing something fun with my family.

We cannot recommend Katie enough! From the moment we reached out for our wedding photography, they were incredibly responsive, professional, and genuinely excited about our big day. On the wedding day, Katie was a calming presence amidst the whirlwind of planning and emotions. They blended seamlessly into our celebration, capturing candid moments that we will cherish forever. The way they interacted with our guests made everyone feel at ease, which translated into the most natural and beautiful photos. The final gallery blew us away! Each image was thoughtfully composed, with stunning attention to detail. They perfectly captured the essence of the day—from the emotional vows to the joyous dancing—and we were astonished by the quality and creativity in every shot. We also appreciated Katie’s ability to stick to our timeline while remaining flexible and adapting to the day’s flow. Their artistic vision truly shone through, and we received countless compliments on our photos. If you’re looking for a talented, dedicated, and friendly wedding photographer, look no further than **Katie Ellen Photography** . They truly have a gift for storytelling through their lens, and we are so grateful to have had them as part of our special day! I grew up in Amagansett, NY, one town away from Montauk, hanging out at the ocean, riding horses, and photographing my plastic Breyer horse models in different scenarios with my little crappy film camera, always searching for the perfect light. I have since moved on to photographing people with better equipment and I still always search for that perfect light. I now live in the lovely Hudson Valley after a long stint in NYC and Brooklyn where I trained under fashion and editorial photographers before starting my own photography business almost 20 years ago. Full disclosure, I'm a little scared of the ocean.

Cappy Hotchkiss Photography was an absolute delight to work with for our wedding. From the moment we first connected, their communication style was friendly, responsive, and clear. They took the time to understand our vision and made sure we felt at ease throughout the entire process. The quality of their work is truly exceptional - their photos have a nostalgic, natural, and emotional quality that perfectly captured the spirit of our special day. Cappy's skill and creativity shone through, even in the challenging backgrounds of our intimate venue in Greenport. They beautifully documented every moment, from the getting ready shots to the ceremony and reception. The final images are timeless, memorable, and absolutely perfect. We couldn't be happier with the results and highly recommend Cappy Hotchkiss Photography to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photographer.

I have been photographing weddings for 13 years and I love every second of it! I live in the Hudson Valley, but I travel all over the world for weddings. I started photographing weddings in college on the side and once I graduated I knew I wanted to continue to pursue weddings! If you'd like to inquire, please do so through my website!

Jordan was truly the best photographer we could’ve ever asked for for our wedding. From the moment we met her we both felt so comfortable in front of the camera. Our photos came out better than our wildest dreams and we will cherish them forever.

Kristen is everything my husband and I dreamed of for a photographer--professional, talented, and an absolute joy to be around! We had a small wedding ceremony at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery with specific monuments in mind for the photos, and she gave us directed our poses to bring our vision to life. Within a few days, Kristen sent us a sneak peek and the images were stunning and more beautiful than we could have imagined. Taking wedding photos can be awkward (what do you do with your hands?!), but Kristen really made it such a comfortable and memorable experience. It was more like catching up with an old friend and laughing non stop. Go and book Little But Fierce Photography immediately!
