“When we first booked Glen Sanders, someone told my mother that Glen Sanders runs like a well-oiled wedding machine. They were spot on. Glen Sanders knows weddings. Every vendor was thrilled to hear we were working with them. They made the entire process so easy, so clear. Maki, our bridal attendant, was INCREDIBLE. She greeted us off the bus with our champagne flutes, made sure I was hydrated all during photos, helped me with my dress, and brought me down my sneakers at the reception, among many other things. Glen Sanders also sets up all of your cocktail hour Hors d'œuvres in a separate room for you to eat before going to your reception, and it was the moment my husband and I needed to catch our breath and feel "present" for the rest of the night. People often say their wedding was a blur, but we remember every detail thanks to that moment to pause. As for the venue itself, all of our guests still talk about how great of a setup it was. We got ready on-site (groomsmen downstairs, bridesmaids upstairs, MOG got her hair done in the salon downstairs), our cocktail hour outside and on the enclosed porch, the reception in the ballroom, our after party in the basement bar (Speak-easy vibes!), and then we stayed up with close friends and siblings around the fire until the early hours before going to sleep in our rooms on-site! The Edison Downtown is a brand new wedding and event venue in downtown Schenectady and established in 2021. The venue is exclusively catered and owned by Seasons Catering where they are excited to begin hosting events. This venue holds the history from when Thomas Edison came to Schenectady to start up Edison Machine Works and when he combined it into the Edison General Electric company in 1889. After - the building transformed into the Schenectady Gazette headquarters. In our renovations - we have kept the history and charm of the building with the original printing press from 1894 and our exposed brick interior.

“Weddings can be incredibly stressful and sometimes not go as you planned, but I can guarantee The Edison Downtown staff will make your special day the best wedding or event you’ve ever had. Jena, our wedding coordinator and Bylinda, the owner, truly went above and beyond any of my expectations for my wedding day. The attention to care to not only myself but all family members and party members was impeccable. The organization and leadership day of from Jena highly attributes to the perfection and smoothness of our wedding. She was there late the night before and there bright and early the day of to make sure everything we wanted was done correctly and done timely. She made sure to keep to our schedule and even if there were any bumps in our timeline, she handed it for us. She paid incredible attention to detail to both our wedding and after party, as we had a completely different themed event also at the venue slightly after our wedding ended. I’m sure this made it more difficult than usual for the staff, but Jena handled the organization of all of our decor and organization of the staff and people involved like a seasoned professional. The food from Season’s Catering was divine and some of the best food we can recall having at a wedding or other event in a very, very long time. Our guests cannot stop talking about how absolutely delicious all of the food was, how gorgeous and unique the venue was, and how it was one of the best weddings they have attended. From the bartender to the servers, everyone was so sweet and seemed so excited to be working our wedding day. I didn’t know exactly what to expect planning my first wedding, but was so thankful for having Bylinda and having Jena from the venue to handle everything. Any event at The Edison Downtown is worth every penny. We cannot thank everyone enough for all of the effort they put into our special day.”

“We absolutely loved having our wedding at Windham Manor in the fall! The property is stunning, and the views are gorgeous, especially in the early autumn. We got married in the Enchanted Forest, had cocktail hour on the lawn, and our reception in the barn. Everything flowed seamlessly and with 110 guests, the layout was perfect. Although Windham is a small town, it’s easy for guests to find places to stay and things to explore. We did our rehearsal dinner in town and hosted our Sunday brunch at the on-site house. Susan and Barry were wonderful, checking in with us and giving us time to settle in on Thursday. They also offered a variety of decor items such as candles, vases, runners, etc., which made setting up our reception easy and stress-free. We stayed with our wedding party at the house onsite and this really helped make our weekend extra special. We loved having our wedding party with us to hang out and catch up, and to facilitate our after party. Our house manager, Karen, was incredible. She was extremely thoughtful, attentive, and always anticipating what we needed. She checked in throughout the day with even small things like water, coffee, or food. She helped the weekend feel calm and effortless. From the moment we first visited, we knew Windham Manor was our number one choice and it did not disappoint!”

“The wedding coordinators were the absolute best to work with! They were so professional and quick to respond with emails. We were very happy to have them the day of the wedding as they made everything run so smoothly! During cocktail hour Julie helped set up a small private table with appetizers for just the two of us. It was so nice to spend a few minutes as a newly married couple before making our entrance to the reception. The food was amazing, and both the ceremony and reception spaces were decorated better than I could’ve imagined. The cake was done by Debbie Coye and part of our package - not only was it gorgeous but it was also delicious! The staff were all professional and made sure we had everything that we needed. My daughter was a covid bride and this venue was still under construction when she was first engaged and because we had to postpone her wedding, we were lucky to secure a date at the brand-new Kenmore Ballroom. Katie and Nate went above and beyond in every way – we were one of their largest guest counts that the venue had yet hosted and they didn’t miss a step! We enjoyed working with them as they were available for our many questions during the planning process. On the day - we were awed seeing our daughter and son-in-law enjoying their first dance together at the top of the beautifully restored grand staircase under the spectacular light from the floor to ceiling windows and sparkling chandelier. They even coordinated our after party turning the onsite bar area into a Irish pub! They have so much experience and unique ideas for planning any type of event I highly recommend the Kenmore Ballroom and Katie and Nate! “Birch Hill is phenomenal!! From the very beginning of the process, Serena was by our side, always answering any questions we had, making sure everything was clear, and making sure we had everything OUR way. Literally nothing went wrong other than running 15-20 minutes behind schedule which wasn’t their fault! Food was amazing, and everyone thought so, we heard the bartender was awesome as well as the drinks he made, and the venue itself is just beautiful. We had our ceremony at the pond pergola and our reception in the Colombia Ballroom - both absolutely stunning and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better day, thanks to Birch Hill & Serena and even Kelsey who helped Serena the day of! We can’t thank Birch Hill enough for everything they did for us and our big day and we are so glad we trusted them; would recommend them 1000 times over!”

“Wedding Date: 10/25/2025 When we first were looking for wedding venues, our vision was to have a wedding week where all our family and friends could feel like they were on vacation. We wanted a place that provided accommodations for our bridal party on the same property as the ceremony site and reception hall. Stonewall Estate delivered on all fronts. The Estate House, which accommodated our entire bridal party, sat at the top of the hill with breathtaking views of the hills/mountains. It also allowed the entire bridal party to bond over the course of the wedding week, and we had so many fun moments in that house. The ceremony site was beautiful with the autumn mountains as the backdrop. Although it was a bit cold, Stonewall provided a cold weather package that included hand warmers, blankets, and outdoor heaters for our guests. We also opted for the warm apple cider as a finishing touch! The reception space was a blank canvas and really allowed us to turn it into exactly what we had envisioned. The space was huge and allowed for us to accommodate a lot of guests, and incorporate so much of the furniture and decor Stonewall had to offer. The Stonewall property was more than satisfying for the wedding week, but then there’s the owners and staff who take it over the top. Melanie was so kind, helpful and supporting throughout the entire planning process. Answering our questions, providing her thoughts and ideas with regard to vendors, decor, and wedding day coordination. Stacy made sure our decor vision came to life. Steve ensured that everything, down to the tables and chairs, were exactly where they needed to be. The parking attendants, golf cart drivers, bartenders, all provided by Stonewall, were so kind and helpful on the wedding day. Suffice it to say, Stonewall Estate was the perfect place for us to spend our wedding week, and I will never forget all they did to make our wedding dreams come true. Our friends and family have not stopped raving about how much fun they had and how awesome the property is. We are seriously considering booking the property again, but this time for an anniversary vacation with our family and friends, just to relive the fun and positive vibes we had our wedding week.”

“This venue was perfect from start to finish. This hotel/venue has beautiful sweeping Hudson river views. This is a dog friendly venue. It is also only a 25 minute drive from local Albany airport. The venue has a modern industrial vibe. Aaron, Laura and the whole Wire team were very accommodating and kind from day one. This venue is all inclusive. We were were able to book hotel blocks for our guests. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. We were able to stay in the bridal suite (Heron Suite) for a total of three nights. This room is beautiful, it has a large 4 poster bed, sitting room and huge bathroom with large walk in shower. We had our rehearsal dinner at the Patrick Henry ( one of their restaurants on site), which is adjacent to the venue property. The food was delicious and gave off a casual vibe for out of town guests as they were arriving. The day of the wedding the bride and groom have their own beautiful getting ready rooms. The bridal getting ready room had a lot of natural light and salon style chairs for hair and makeup.
