In the weeks leading up to the big day, we met with Matt, who walked us through every detail — from the ceremony and cocktail hour to introductions and the reception. We came in with a list of songs and a vision for how we wanted the night to flow, and Matt went above and beyond. He fine-tuned everything to perfection — timing song cues beautifully and even editing our first dance song so it included all our favorite parts without running too long. Matt was also our emcee, and along with our DJ Tony and Anthony, the entire night unfolded perfectly. Everything was perfect, from the rustic façade of the DJ booth to the cocktail hour playlist (which sounded like something we would’ve made ourselves) to the incredible reception music. They were honest, familiar with our venue (Toast in Patchogue), and never tried to upsell us. Mike took the time to go over our preferences beforehand, and he just *got it*. They understood the assignment and gave us a night we’ll never forget. The dance floor was packed the entire evening — not a single person left on the first shuttle because no one wanted to stop dancing, not even my 91-year-old grandma who stayed until the very end! They paid close attention to every detail — from our final dance song to the special tribute song for my brother and every request in between. Throughout the night, they checked in with us to make sure we were happy, seamlessly made announcements to gather guests for photos or speeches, and kept the energy high from start to finish. If you’re debating between hiring just a DJ or a DJ and MC — **get both!** It makes such a difference. “HiMotive Entertainment & Photobooth did a great job keeping our wedding reception fun and upbeat. While their communication was a bit delayed leading up to the event, they were ultimately effective in executing on the day-of. The DJ kept the party going all night with a good song selection, though they did play 3 Taylor Swift songs in a row at the start, which we would have preferred more variety. The MC's ad-libs got a little overbearing at times, but overall they did a nice job sticking to the schedule and making important announcements. We'd recommend HiMotive to other couples looking for an energetic DJ.”

The singer Karlea was phenomenal and did an amazing job of keeping our guests engaged and entertained. The musicians were all courteous, professional, and exceptionally talented. They dressed appropriately for our wedding theme and many of the guests at the Hawthorne Hotel wanted to take pictures with Karlea in her Twenties attire. In addition to being a wonderful experience, they were also a great value for the price. These are top quality musicians and we paid a reasonable price for the band. I highly recommend this group for your wedding.”
