    Didn’t show up

    Do not hire. Joey was initially very easy to communicate with, but the two weeks before our wedding went radio silent. Had to have a bridesmaid call multiple times to get in touch just to confirm arrival time. Claimed he didn’t receive my emails even though he replied to one of them before ghosting me. Our event coordinator had to call multiple times on the day of our wedding just to find out he wasn’t showing up. Regardless of the reason for this, no back up plan was provided and left us without a dj for the ceremony. I (bride) received a text 10 minutes before the ceremony was supposed to begin with a convoluted excuse to hat really didn’t make much sense. Do not hire.

    Beware, do not hire

    This DJ ghosted my clients on their wedding day, had to call 3 times before he picked up the phone to say he was “just texting the bride” 90 minutes after he was supposed to arrive. He did not provide a backup or even have someone to suggest. Do not hire.

    Great Wedding DJ

    We had such a great experience working with Joey G. Entertainment. From our first conversation, they listened closely to what we wanted and stayed in touch leading up to the wedding. On the day of, they really showed their skill by reading the room and keeping everyone on the dance floor all night with their song choices. One moment that stood out was when the father of the groom requested a specific song, and Joey created this beautiful moment between him and our groom that we'll never forget. Joey was flexible and quick to problem-solve whenever we needed something adjusted. He also provided uplighting upon request, and his pricing was very reasonable. If you're looking for a DJ that cares about your day and knows how to keep the energy going, Joey G. Entertainment is the way to go!

    Bride

    Joey was late to our wedding. He missed our ceremony. He did not play the set list we gave him. He was very resistant to playing requests from the bride and groom. Overall, had a negative impact on our day.

    Horrible, would not recommend

    We hired Joey for our Vietnamese Tea Ceremony Engagement party on 7/18/26 at 5PM. He agreed to come to the venue at 3PM to set up, but instead showed up at 5:30PM, after the event had already started & began setting up in front of guests. When I tried contacting him his phone was on do not disturb and upon arrival he said he was stuck in traffic and had to pull over to save someone’s life, claiming it took him 7 hours to drive from Rhode Island to Connecticut. Multiple guests stated that he appeared unreceptive as none of the songs they requested were played and he was constantly missing from the DJ booth. The audio was constantly off balance going from extremely loud or not audible at all and when asked to adjust the volume he continued to do this throughout the event. His tracks were not blended and had no cohesiveness. He replayed songs multiple times, his mics did not work and he was overall unprofessional while receiving this feedback as we were met with excuses. I would not recommend this DJ to anyone, he added unnecessary stress to our special day, was unprofessional and unreliable. He was originally hired for both our engagement party & wedding, we will be going in a different direction for our wedding that is set to happen in a month and a half.

I encourage every couple to come up with a must-playlist and a must-not-playlist to ensure I play their favorites.
