The Golden Scroll Soloists have been wowing Northeast audiences with a variety of styles for 20 years, melding familiar songs you love into an elegant string quartet experience. We helped popularize the "crossover string quartet", much like the Vitamin String Quartet, during the early days of classical crossover. Our style, now made mainstream by Bridgerton, predated the Netflix hit show by 15 years. We're ready to play for your ceremony, your cocktail hour, or maybe even your reception. Choose from a string quartet, string trio, string duo, or violin soloist. Let's start planning the soundtrack to your happily ever after!

Description

Perfect for wedding receptions where you prefer elegant reception music over dance party music. We can play your first dances, and guests are welcome to dance... but our refined style of music isn't the type to get a rowdy and intense dance party started. Our music is perfect for the elegant luncheon, small reception, garden party, or any size reception intended to be elegant and low-key.

    Best decision ever!

    Golden Scroll Soloists made our wedding day feel truly special. From start to finish, they were efficient and thorough in their communication, offering thoughtful ideas that we hadn't considered. Their quartet played beautifully before the ceremony, during the vows, and throughout cocktail hour, creating an elegant atmosphere that elevated the entire experience. Our guests kept mentioning how the music set the perfect tone for the evening. We felt confident in their hands and would absolutely recommend them to any couple looking for live music that actually makes a difference.

    Extremely friendly AND talented!

    Apparently, my now-husband is extremely picky when it comes to string quartets. When looking for a string quartet for our wedding in June 2026, we listened to recordings from every available vendor in the Rockland County/Westchester area. Golden Scroll were not only the best sounding, but also were incredibly friendly, organized, and accommodating to our requests. Their song list is MASSIVE and yet they included learning two new songs at no extra charge to allow our playlist to be even more meaningful to us. Kevin was extremely responsive, and was less worried than we were about the 15% chance of rain on the day of the wedding. The performance itself was amazing and our guests raved about it all evening. They didn’t flinch when our robot flower girl came straight towards them! Couldn’t recommend hiring Golden Scroll more for your special event!

    The best of the best!

    From our first conversation with Golden Scroll Soloists, we knew we had found the right fit for our wedding. Kevin and his team were incredibly responsive and easy to work with throughout the entire planning process. They provided live music during our ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner, and then Kevin seamlessly transitioned to DJ duties from a curated playlist we created together. Having one vendor handle both the live performance and DJ services made the day flow effortlessly, and guests haven't stopped talking about the music. Kevin even took care of the sound equipment for our officiant, handling details we didn't even have to ask about. If you're looking for a band and DJ that will exceed your expectations, Golden Scroll Soloists is the way to go.

    Great choice for a wedding!

    The Golden Scrolls were an amazing addition to our wedding day. Their music during the ceremony and cocktail hour was perfect and sounded amazing. The musicians themselves were professional and talented. The process for selecting songs and planning for big day was smooth and collaborative. They have such a large amount of songs to select and are willing to learn a new song or two if desired. I would definitely work with them again and would certainly recommend them to others!

    An enchanting evening, thanks to Golden Scrolls!

    Golden Scrolls Golden Scrolls is absolutely incredible. We had a micro wedding at a castle and our wonderful violinist and cellist duo made the whole evening (music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception) feel elegant and enchanted. In addition to their broad song selection (we loved the pop songs/video game songs and willingness to learn two additional songs special to us), they arrived perfectly on time, were wonderfully professional, and played beautifully. We especially enjoyed working with Kevin from start to finish because of his attention to detail and terrific service. Golden Scrolls was truly *instrumental* in making our big day as special and memorable as it was. We’d highly recommend them!

Our most commonly booked package is our "ceremony + cocktail hour" option, which covers both.
Absolutely, we'll provide your venue with our Certificate of Insurance.
We are able to bring and set up a sound system for the officiant upon request. This comes at a small additional fee for our "ceremony only" and "ceremony and cocktail hour" packages, and is automatically included for receptions.
