“Arts at the Armory delivered on the wedding of our dreams! We knew when we started planning that we didn't want a cookie cutter wedding. We wanted a venue that would celebrate our vision and work with us to bring a little magic to life. And WOW did they ever! We felt great supporting the local art community in Somerville and truly felt that sense of community the whole way through. The Armory team championed our ideas and supported all of our unique touches. When there were limitations, they offered creative solutions that made our day so special. For example, Flora, the bar manager, helped us work within their bar license limitations to create elegant and elevated Prosecco cocktails that our guests loved. The space itself is really remarkable even as a blank canvas. Once their team stepped in with the lighting and sound design, my jaw dropped. Stepping into the space once it was transformed into our dream venue brought me to tears. I know our wedding was completely unique because of all the special attention the entire Armory staff offered us. Special shout out to Kim, their production manager, who really helped me see through each little detail to bring it all to life. “We chose the Union in Union package with Juliet and Dearly Studio, and were so happy with our wedding day from start to finish! They were responsive throughout the entire planning process, and helped catch all the small details. On the day itself, the staff set up the annex space beautifully for both our ceremony and dinner reception, and the flow of service was seamless. The food was delicious, and the space was cozy and intimate. It felt effortless, which is a credit to both teams.”

“A Dream Wedding at Margeaux Supper Parlor We hosted our engagement party turned wedding at Margeaux Supper Parlor, and it was pure magic. From the moment we stepped inside, we were blown away by the beauty of the space - especially the bar, which created the most stunning backdrop for photos we’ll cherish forever. Rebekah, the owner, and her incredible team thought of everything. From a custom, dairy-free menu (which was so important to me) to specialty passed cocktails and thoughtful service throughout, not a single detail was missed. The private oasis room was the perfect retreat for a quiet moment together during the celebration and added such a personal touch to the evening. And yes, we even sabered champagne! Whether it’s a bridal shower, engagement party, or wedding, we can’t recommend Margeaux enough. It’s a truly special place run by truly special people.”

“We loved having our wedding at Alden & Harlow! Our guests are still raving about it and we're still not over how perfect it was. The food is impeccable. Despite serving a huge crowd, the food was as delicious (if not even better?!) as it always is. People are still texting us to tell us they're thinking about our wedding food, which is rare! Just be prepared - if you're doing family style, the pacing is a bit slow. We had 6 family style plates and they came out two at a time over the course of an hour. We had no complaints, just something to consider for your timeline! The staff was super accommodating, friendly, and helpful on the day of our wedding. They set up all of our decor/signage in record time and pulled the space together beautifully. We could tell they were so excited to be hosting a wedding, and they made us feel so special! The bartenders were a hit and the servers were a blast. Despite having a slightly odd shape (the seating in the greenhouse space is separated from the dining room by the long bar), the space is perfect for a wedding. We sat 122 guests comfortably, and still had the entire dance floor space free all night. The dining room is big enough to fit a full dance floor, but small enough that everyone is dancing close together, which was exactly what we wanted! Also worth noting we did our first look upstairs at Longfellow bar before they opened and the space and team was wonderful there, too. The photos turned out amazing. My only word of caution is to keep in mind that this is not a traditional wedding venue. Since they don't do a ton of weddings here, it's not as simple of a process as it might be at other venues. We had to do some of the leg work to figure out the seating chart, the timeline, and the menus, and sometimes we'd go a few months without hearing back from the team there. This was all totally fine for us, but it might not be everyones cup of tea. Some of the more unique elements of the wedding actually turned out to be our favorites: we sat at the bar with a bunch of our friends for dinner, almost everyone had to stand for the ceremony, and the people seated in the greenhouse stood on the dance floor for speeches/first dances since they wouldn't be able to see/hear from their seats. These all made the whole night feel so casual and fun and intimate, which was exactly what we wanted. Overall, we absolutely ADORED the team at Alden and genuinely couldn't be more grateful to them for helping us throw the best party of our lives. I can't imagine getting married anywhere else!!! The food, drinks, atmosphere, and team are all 1000/10. If you're open to getting creative and putting in a little work to throw an iconic city wedding, then you should ABSOLUTELY get married here!!”

It’s been lovingly restored, and boasts a two-story theater space with an exquisitely embellished ceiling and wraparound mezzanine balcony. In the warmer months, ceremonies may be held in Centanni Courtyard. This airy outdoor space continues the historic feel of the Arts Center with lawns, a large arbor, and brick pathways. “We held our wedding reception at the Multicultural Arts Center in Cambridge, and it was a beautiful venue to host our event. The space was a perfect size for our event with 125 guests, and the ceiling is a showstopper. The building is right on the small city park, Centanni Park, which is such a nice little green space in East Cambridge. The staff was friendly and easy to work with and helped us to create our dream reception. One thing to keep in mind when picking this venue is that you have to select from a list of preferred vendors for catering, and they will need to rent all of the plates, cutlery, glassware, catering supplies etc since the venue does not provide these items. Their list of caterers to choose from is a great list, but the extra cost of these rentals should be remembered when budgeting your event.”

“We cannot recommend Pagu highly enough for your wedding or event. From the very first email, they were unlike any of the venues we had reached out to. Overall, Pagu is flexible, which not only made wedding planning MUCH less stressful, but it made our wedding personal to us. Every time we had a question, they had an answer and a solution. You’re not messing around with rentals for plates, chairs, tables, linens or tons of decor. The space is beautiful and already functions so well as a restaurant, allowing you to just be their guest on your wedding day. The FOOD! Multiple guests came up to us and said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. Everything was hot, fresh, aesthetically plated and delicious. The family style sharing was relaxed, fun and nobody had to wait in line. The cake was so light and beautifully decorated. Day-of, what really stood out was the exceptional service and kindness we received from the entire team at Pagu. Everyone who works there was so positive, accommodating, and thoughtful. When I was “hiding” before the ceremony, the team delivered an entire tea/coffee service with some of the food to make sure I got something to eat! When we got back to our hotel, we found a portion of each dish in our fridge, just because they heard we hadn’t finished our second course or dessert while we were socializing. It was above and beyond thoughtful! Beyond taking extremely good care of us, all of our guests commented that it was one of the most relaxing weddings because the Pagu team thought of everything. At most weddings, there’s not a server checking in with you about your allergies, restrictions, and if you would like a drink. Since Pagu is a restaurant, you get outstanding restaurant-quality service. They even made a last minute, individual substitution for a new dietary restriction on the spot, and allowed that guest to enjoy the food, too! Another huge bonus was there was almost no bar line, since they’re used to making drinks for this many people! Other highlights of our experience include doing the cocktail creation session with Jimmy. We aren’t big drinkers, so we almost didn’t do this, but we are so glad we did - it was a blast, and the guests loved the personal cocktails. We highly recommend it! The space is gorgeous, the people are a dream, and the food was outstanding. Amanda (the venue coordinator/manager) was so easy to work with and on top of everything. Even our very traditional families (who were very skeptical when we said we were getting married at a restaurant) said afterwards it was one of the best weddings they’d been to.
