We had a wonderful experience working with Brus and the full Spruce Mountain team. They think of everything when it comes to logistics, and we didn't have to worry about a thing from the moment we showed up on wedding day until the end of the night. Our experience touring the venue a year and a half ago, coming back for the Wine & Nosh event, and doing our 30 day walk through all made the planning process so smooth and exciting for us and our families. The multiple ceremony locations are all gorgeous, and we were thrilled to be able to get married mountainside with the natural beauty of Colorado in the background. Our guests loved cocktail hour and the indoor/outdoor dinner & dancing set up. Spruce is truly a 5 star wedding venue because of its natural beauty and the organization/care the team takes in scoping out all the details, like 2 beautiful getting ready suites for the bridesmaids & groomsmen, shuttles to take guests up mountainside, and open air string lights for late night dancing. Spruce is also a popular spot that many of our vendors were familiar with, which made logistics even smoother since our bartenders, caterer, DJ, planner, and florist had all done multiple weddings at Spruce before and had great recommendations on what could work well with our vision. We hope to come back for future events and are so happy to have gotten married at Spruce!

Mountain View Ranch by Wedgewood Weddings made planning our wedding stress-free from start to finish. Caryn, our coordinator, was wonderful and communicated with us quickly and efficiently every step of the way. On the day of our wedding, Becca, our banquet captain, was incredibly kind and detail-oriented, making sure everything ran smoothly. The entire team—Andrea, Nate, Christy, and Tyler—were professional and clearly love what they do. The venue itself is clean and fabulous with plenty of space, and the staff's attention to detail made our day feel special without any worry on our end. • Flexible event spaces
  • Rustic-chic setting

Venue considerations

We originally took Idlewild off our list because it was a little further from Denver than we wanted to be, but after looking around at more local venues and comparing all that was included, it was a no brainer. Stephanie and Susannah are SO accommodating and helpful. They have put so much work into the venue and they’re constantly updating and making improvements. We had the freedom to do almost anything we wanted for the weekend and it all came together exactly as we imagined it. Their included sound systems worked wonderfully, they have decor options for you to choose from or you can bring your own, the cabins and tents on the property worked wonderfully for us and our guests, and it was the perfect backdrop to a family and nature oriented weekend. Having the venue from Friday-Sunday was a game changer, we did almost all of our setup on Friday and had a big barbecue for our familes and anyone that wanted to come on Friday evening, so Saturday was so much more laid back than it could’ve been. I would recommend Idlewild again and again, and I’m so grateful for Stephanie and Susannah and all they’ve put into Idlewild, and we also loved being able to support a locally owned small business for our big day!

Echo Mountain

Idaho Springs, CO
  • Up to 500 guests

Say “I do” on top of the world at Echo Mountain. Perched at 10,600 feet with breathtaking views of the Continental Divide, this hidden gem offers a cinematic alpine backdrop just 36 miles from Denver. Unlike remote mountain sites, Echo Mountain provides an accessible high-altitude escape for everything from intimate elopements to grand celebrations. Whether you’re dreaming of a summer sunset over the Rockies or a cozy lodge reception, this versatile venue blends rugged Colorado beauty with effortless logistics. It’s the perfect setting for couples who want the ultimate "big sky" experience without the long trek.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Provides catering services
  • Exudes style
  • Has a dance floor for celebration

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Best for events with big guest lists
  • No on-site guest accommodations
In our hunt for a venue, we really wanted stunning mountain backdrops for our wedding. We also didn’t want to travel crazy far into the mountains knowing we had a lot of guests who would be flying in from out of state. Echo Mountain perfectly fits those two requirements as it is just under an hour from Golden and feels like you’re not close to the city at all with the stunning views. The venue has a lodge, but we actually decided to go with the tent setup as we wanted to have a bit more outdoors for the day. Echo does need to do all of the alcohol due to licenses, but they are so flexible that it wasn’t an issue at any point. We are super into wine, and they have a close relationship with a local wine store in Kittridge (Piney Wines) where we were able to purchase just a few bottles of wine that we wanted to supplement the bar. The bar also had no issues doing our signature drinks (French 75 and Espresso Martini). Finally, I have only the highest praise for the venue coordinator, Meg. She was absolutely amazing, answering every single email that we sent since we were planning from out of state (which there were a lot). The day of she even helped by hopping on the phone with a cousin who got lost getting to the venue to make sure they made it in time for the ceremony. She was amazing to work with and made Echo the best possible place for us to have our wedding, we loved it!

Trying to plan a wedding on your own is not for the weak of heart, booking Hummingbird Hill was the absolute easiest decision we had to make. Noah and Serena made our stay and weekend the absolute best. We had been in communication with them for almost 10 months, planning and discussing every detail. They offered photography, shuttle service options, greeted us with a bouquet of flowers, hung twinkle lights over our ceremony area, allowed us to stop at the home for measurements, even stayed for our wedding and helped with tear down and cleaning. When we booked their home we didn’t expect such involvement and love and support they offered. I could not recommend hummingbird hill enough. We are already planning on coming back with friends for our 1 year anniversary.

The team at Church of the Cross is an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. Their communication style is responsive and warm and helpful throughout the planning process. The venue itself was charming, with beautiful woodwork and an intimate, cozy atmosphere and affordable. They are incredibly accommodating, offering tours beforehand, providing a pastor, and being available on the day to lend a hand where needed. They also have an outdoor space for small ceremonies, a kitchen if needed, and ample parking. The central Evergreen location also makes it easy to enjoy nearby reception options. The Breckenridge Boutique Hotel was the perfect choice for our wedding day! From the moment we started planning, their team responded quickly to our questions and kept us in the loop throughout the entire process. We kept our ceremony very simple with just 15 close friends and family. The common area on the 2nd floor was perfect for cocktail hour. Luckily it was a beautiful day, so we were able to be on the deck with mountain views! Our ceremony on the back steps was absolutely stunning with nature as our backdrop, and the hotel's intimate atmosphere made our guests feel so welcome. The staff created a cozy, welcoming environment that really captured what we wanted for our special day. We couldn't have asked for a better venue. Once our ceremony was over, we walked a couple steps up to the ski run to take pictures. It really couldn't have been any more convenient. I would recommend this boutique hotel for any couple looking for an intimate wedding. I wish I could live it all over again. One of the best days of my life! I am so grateful to the manager Jake, and all the staff that made our weekend perfect.

The Boettcher Mansion is a fairytale venue! It is absolutely gorgeous inside, but the outdoor space is what really sold us. When my husband and I got married in June the flowers were in full bloom, and we were surrounded by butterflies. The mansion is in a pine forest and has fantastic mountain views (the lookout in the photo is just across the street). We really wanted our wedding to feel like a mountain, wildflower fantasy and Boettcher was perfect! All the staff at Boettcher are amazing! We primarily worked with Dana and Shea, who were both incredibly well organized and helpful throughout the planning process. Overall, Boettcher was our dream venue, and I would highly recommend it!

The rooms are clean and modern but feel homey and comfortable. Breakfast was great and a nice amenity to have. We were surprised by champagne in our room when we arrived. About wedding venues in Silver Plume, CO

What Makes Colorado's Wedding Venues Unique?

Colorado's wedding venues offer something truly special, blending architectural diversity with stunning natural scenery. You'll find sophisticated urban elegance at the Grand Hyatt Denver right alongside the rustic charm of Spruce Mountain Ranch. Every window at the Flagstaff House Restaurant frames breathtaking mountain vistas while Tapestry House By Wedgewood Weddings pairs Victorian beauty with meticulously maintained gardens. Mountain View Ranch takes indoor-outdoor flow to the next level with retractable walls that let you seamlessly connect with nature while keeping guests comfortable. When it comes to costs you'll be pleasantly surprised - Colorado venues typically run between $6,000 and $6,800, which falls on the lower end of what you'd pay nationally where prices range from $6,500 to $12,000.

How Much Does a Colorado Mountain Wedding Cost?

Planning a Colorado mountain wedding for 150 guests? You're looking at around $46,999 total. Here's how that breaks down across your key vendors: - Florists: 16% ($7,466) - Venues: 14% ($6,399) - Catering: 11% ($5,119) - Photography: 10% ($4,622) - Videography: 9% ($4,124) - Wedding Planning: 9% ($4,124) - Bar Services: 9% ($4,095) - Bands and DJs: 3% ($1,500) - Cake and Desserts: 2% ($801) - Hair and Makeup: 1% ($670)

When Should You Book Colorado Wedding Services?

Timing is everything when planning your Colorado wedding. Start with your venue 13 months out - that's 390 days before your big day. Your photographer and wedding planner should be next on the list about 10 months ahead. Most other vendors including your florist caterer and videographer need about 9 months' notice while hair and makeup artists typically want 8 months' heads up. Planning a fall wedding? Book even earlier since September sees the highest demand.

Which Colorado Mountain Regions Offer the Best Wedding Settings?

You'll find perfect settings year-round in Colorado's mountains. The Grange shows off spectacular fall colors with its aspen groves while Della Terra lets you host cozy outdoor ceremonies with snowy peaks as your backdrop. Spring brings wildflower meadows at Wild Basin Lodge and summer celebrations shine under Balistreri Vineyards' pergola-covered patio. September proves most popular combining perfect temperatures with reliable weather.

How Do Denver Wedding Venues Compare to Mountain Locations?

Whether you're drawn to city sophistication or mountain majesty Colorado's got you covered. Craftwood Peak puts you face-to-face with Pikes Peak while The Simon offers industrial-chic style with Denver skyline views. You can celebrate in the historic Kirk Of Highland or surrounded by Garden of the Gods' stunning red rocks. City venues like Rooftop1630 deliver urban views while mountain locations connect you directly with nature.

What Weather Contingencies Do Colorado Venues Provide?

Colorado venues know how to handle whatever weather comes your way. Mount Vernon Canyon Club keeps you connected to the views through its glass-enclosed reception space while Church Ranch Event Center offers multiple indoor ceremony spots with mountain vistas through massive windows. Want a winter ceremony? Ashley Ridge has heated outdoor pavilions and Meadow Creek Lodge keeps everyone comfortable with covered walkways between venues.

Where Can You Find All-Inclusive Colorado Wedding Packages?

Looking to simplify your planning? Wedgewood Weddings properties across Colorado including Tapestry House and Mountain View Ranch handle everything from catering to coordination. The Grand Hyatt Denver includes room blocks with their packages while Balistreri Vineyards wraps up wine service catering and coordination in one easy contract. These venues make planning easier with dedicated coordinators managing timelines and vendor teams.

How Do Colorado Wedding Budgets Scale with Guest Count?

Your Colorado wedding budget flexes with your guest list: - 50 guests: $20,802 - 100 guests: $34,304 - 150 guests: $46,999 - 200 guests: $58,346 - 250 guests: $69,693 - 300 guests: $81,041 This scaling helps you maintain the quality you want while adjusting for your perfect guest count.
