Q: Can my guests park onsite?

Our parking lot is small! With the Micro and Juniper Wedding packages, we can accommodate 13 cars parked on our property. All additional vehicles (vendor or guests) must park offsite. With the Meadow Ceremony package, no guest parking is available onsite other than for the couple and vendors. Please ask us for preferred transportation vendors.

Q: Do you have accessible facilities?

While Juniper is not ADA compliant, our deck and lower level lounge can be accessed without the use of stairs. The walk to the Meadow is a three-minute gently sloping, natural hike. It is not accessible by car and not suitable for guests with wheelchairs or walkers. Elderly guests with balance issues will need assistance to get to the Meadow.

Q: What’s your cancellation policy?

Venue payments are non-refundable, but we do allow for a reschedule of the event pending availability.

Q: Do we need to get insurance?

Yes, you will need to get insurance if your event has over 10 guests. Event insurance can be purchased online for about $150.

Q: Who is included in our guest count?

Any person who occupies a seat is included in the guest count, including the couple and children. Infants and vendors are not included.

Q: What if it rains or snows?

Colorado weather is fickle and can change quickly. At Juniper we hold weddings rain or shine! We have one outdoor heater for use and a sun shade that can be erected in case of light rain.

Q: Do you have any vendor restrictions?

We do not have any vendor restrictions, but we do have a list of recommended vendors that work seamlessly with our space! Just ask us for a list of preferred vendors.

A magical clearing among picturesque pine trees.

Celebrate your ceremony in The Meadow at Juniper Mountain House, a magical clearing among picturesque evergreen and ponderosa pine trees. Custom handmade wood benches for up to 50 guests, a ceremony platform, a rustic wedding arch, and overhead string lights accent this remote, romantic setting.

Our lower level bar and lounge opens up to the Mountain View Deck to create an open indoor/outdoor experience for you and your guests. All furniture can be moved and replaced with cocktail tables to create more space to move around if desired. Or keep the furniture in place for your guests to enjoy.

This space is the main point of entry into Juniper with a check in desk and cozy lobby area. With lounge seating and a fireplace, many of our couples use this area to sign their marriage license and have a quiet moment before joining the reception. As the largest and most private room in the lodge, the Boxelder King Junior Suite will feel like your own little bear cave.

Sliding glass doors lead out to a patio area with two oversized rocking chairs. Beyond the patio, this room opens up to the lower level deck amenities, including a shared hot tub immediately outside the doors, along with a fire pit and sweeping mountain and forest views. Inside, the room features a plush memory foam mattress, large flatscreen television, and retro mini fridge. This room is pet friendly for an additional $25 fee!

Thank you Juniper for the wedding of our dreams!
We highly, highly recommend Juniper as the venue for your upcoming wedding! We first visited Juniper 3 years prior to our wedding as lodge guests and knew immediately it was where we wanted to have our wedding. We ultimately did not search for any other venues as we knew just from one visit it was the venue for us. Ashley & Alea have curated such an incredible space and it was the perfect setting for our wedding. As a lesbian couple, it also was a huge draw for us to support a queer, women owned business. We knew we wanted a smaller, intimate wedding & Juniper was the perfect setting for doing so. Their packages were very reasonable & the Meadow Ceremony space was a huge draw for where we envisioned saying I do. They also had an outstanding list of preferred vendors which significantly helped throughout the planning process. As hosts for our wedding, they were easy to work with & also made our day feel extra special! We had some very specific asks in terms of music playlists, bar choices & table scapes which they were very attentive to & accommodated. During our final walk through meeting (which they accommodated virtually since we are an out of town couple!) they were very clear on all the moving pieces for day of & prepping for our wedding Day of - Ashley & Alea were present the entire time & worked very well with all our vendors & wedding planners to make our day 100% smooth. Even with some weather rolling through shortly before our ceremony, they were on deck to adjust as needed. The entire evening went off without a hitch and ultimately the ceremony space & reception space were everything we envisioned, thanks to their execution. If you are looking for an all encompassing wedding venue that is in a gorgeous setting, welcoming environment & with genuinely kind & attentive hosts, Juniper is just the place! Our wedding was the most magical, perfect day & it not only is due to Juniper itself, but especially thanks to Ashley & Alea who we are very grateful for bringing our fairytale wedding come to be! Juniper was the wedding venue of my dreams. I love this place so much! Sweeping mountain views and intimate wooded areas, it has it all and was an easy commute for our Denver based guests. Ashley and Alea are so kind, and were part of every step of the planning process and day of. There is substantial construction going for the treehouses which impacts the walking path and parking lot, but none of the views/hang out areas so don't be scared!

Breathtaking wedding venue
If you are looking for a stunning micro-wedding venue in the mountains, you need to book Juniper Mountain House. The venue is breathtaking. The design, service, and unique flare give it 5 stars in my opinion. I love that the ceremony and reception are all at the same venue and that we got to stay onsite with our wedding party. The large deck is perfect for dinner and dancing. Alea and Ashley are super easy to work with and make the process as simple as it gets. I highly recommend this venue.

Cozy Woodland Escape!
Juniper Mountain House is a dream! We wanted a cozy mountain vibe for our small wedding celebration and were having a hard time finding a venue that felt intimate and catered to a smaller group. We are so grateful we finally found Juniper Mountain House and couldn’t have picked a better venue. The owners, Ashley and Alea, were very accommodating and personable. You can tell they care about the guest experience and have put thought into every little detail and design element of the hotel. Would definitely recommend Juniper Mountain House for a romantic couple’s getaway or a venue – we can’t wait to go back!

The Wedding Venue of My Dreams!
romantic sigh... what to say about Juniper. do i start with the incredible and lovely hosts, the stunning ceremony space, the perfectly curated decor, the warm and cozy fireplaces scattered throughout the property, or the gorgeous patio turned reception area? all of these things and more are exactly why my husband and i chose to have our wedding at Juniper. it was the perfect intimate and intentional space we were looking for and we could not be any happier with our decision )

No, Juniper is a liquor licensed venue. All alcohol and bartending service must be purchased through Juniper. We offer a variety of bar packages.

Yes! We allow leashed dogs on our property. We also have pet friendly rooms.

For the Juniper and Micro Wedding packages, you are required to contract directly with McArthur Weddings and Events. Event planning is not included in the price of this package. The Meadow Ceremony package includes a ceremony coordinator. The Couple's Elopement does not include coordination, but it can be added for a fee if desired.

No, Juniper does not have a bridal suite. Check in time on the day of the wedding is at 3 p.m. If your wedding timeline allows for time to get ready, you may do so in one of our guest rooms any time after 3 p.m. Common spaces will be reserved for reception preparation. We encourage our couples to get ready off site and arrive ready for photos.

We do allow lodge rental or room rental after the wedding. Due to space restrictions and cleaning challenges, we do not allow lodge or room rental the night before the wedding.

Vendors may arrive as early as 1 p.m. on the day of the wedding. You can start your event any time after your 3 p.m. check in time. Guests who are not staying overnight must depart no later than 10:30 p.m. The bar closes 30 minutes before guests depart. For winter months only when the sun sets earlier in the day, we allow a 2 p.m. check in time for a additional fee. Check out is the following day at 11 a.m. unless additional lodging nights are added.

We are located in a residential area, so we do not allow DJs or bands with drum sets. Live bands are permitted with prior approval. We provide an AV system for receptions and can recommend emcee services.

No, Juniper does not provide any catering onsite. Food must be provided by a licensed caterer or restaurant. We’re happy to provide a list of preferred caterers. Any caterers who are not on our preferred vendor list must be approved in writing by Juniper and McArthur Weddings and Events.

Bartending is $55 per hour plus gratuity (subject to change), and the cost of alcohol depends on the package you select and the number of guests you have. We offer a wide range of packages, from wine and beer to a top-shelf open bar. Total bar tabs, including bartending and gratuity, typically fall between $2,500 and $5,000 for a group of 50. Ask us for our bar packages!

We do not have a kitchen for guest or vendor use. Caterers must bring their own standalone outdoor kitchen set up or bring in fully pre-prepared food. Juniper does not have a refrigerator for guest use other than the mini fridges provided in the rooms.

We recommend Comfort Suites (3 minute drive), Origin Red Rocks (14 minute drive), The Eddy Hotel (20 minute drive), The Dove Inn (20 minute drive), and Highland Haven (17 minutes) for additional lodging.

To hold your date, we require a signed contract and half of your venue fee. The remainder of your balance is due 90 days prior to the date of your event.

We have one restroom at the lodge available for guest use in addition to the five bathrooms that are attached to our guest rooms.
