About this venue
The Boettcher Mansion, a historic and elegantly rustic setting, is located just 30 minutes outside Denver in Golden, CO inside the beautiful Lookout Mountain Nature Preserve. The mansion once served as a seasonal hunting lodge for Charles Boettcher, but was then donated to the county for public use. This gorgeous stone lodge is a knockout venue for the nature-loving couple that wants to infuse their special day with a unique woodsy vibe. Promise yourselves to each other forever on the Fireside Room Patio amid vast blue skies and lush evergreens. Take unforgettable wedding photos in the unique stone gazebo and throughout the stunning surroundings. Dance the night away inside the Mansion’s Fireside Room, with gorgeous beamed ceilings and unique gauntlet chandeliers, or bring your reception to the great outdoors. Boettcher Mansion provides both beautiful outdoor spaces and uniquely historic architecture that will make your wedding stand out among the rest.

Originally the Mansion's "great-hall", the 1,100-plus square-foot Fireside Room features a cathedral-beamed ceiling, moss-rock walls, wood floors, and an inglenook (walk-in) fireplace. Flanked by the Buffet and Piano Rooms (each measuring 290 square-feet), the room also adjoins a 1,500 square-foot patio. Capacity is 200 guests maximum.

Once a favorite spot for viewing wildlife, our 216-square-foot stone Gazebo provides a romantic site for very small gatherings. Capacity is 20 guests maximum. Can only be reserved within 4 months of the event date.

The reservation is a 9-hour timeframe between 8am-12am that includes 3 hours of prep-time, 5 hours of event time, 1 hour of cleanup time. Pricing varies based on day of the week and time of the year. Extra time can be purchased for a fee. Additional spaces can be added on to have options for a cocktail hour, and to secure the entire property. We highly recommend choosing one of our Preferred Caterers, but there is the option to bring in someone else for an additional fee.

The Gazebo is typically for ceremonies only, and is a 2-hour reservation including setup and cleanup. Additional time can be purchased, if available, for $200/hour. Reservations cannot be made more than 5 months prior to the event date. The surrounding grounds can be used for photos after the ceremony.

Gorgeous and affordable
The team at Boettcher Mansion was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the start, they were incredibly responsive, helpful, and clear in their communication, which made the planning process so smooth. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous - the perfect setting for our romantic, fairytale cottage wedding. The team set up the chairs, lights, and fireplaces beautifully, and were available to answer any questions we had on the day of the event. As an LGBTQ couple, we felt completely welcomed and included throughout our entire experience. The quality of their work and overall value was excellent - we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, affordable venue that truly made our special day so perfect.

Fairytale Venue!
The Boettcher Mansion is a fairytale venue! It is absolutely gorgeous inside, but the outdoor space is what really sold us. When my husband and I got married in June the flowers were in full bloom, and we were surrounded by butterflies. The mansion is in a pine forest and has fantastic mountain views (the lookout in the photo is just across the street). We really wanted our wedding to feel like a mountain, wildflower fantasy and Boettcher was perfect! All the staff at Boettcher are amazing! We primarily worked with Dana and Shea, who were both incredibly well organized and helpful throughout the planning process. Overall, Boettcher was our dream venue, and I would highly recommend it!
