Ridgestables LLC, provides a quaint, elegant country venue, for seasonal weddings. Separate bride and grooms quarters allow the couple and their parties to privately prepare for the exchange of their vows. The garden venue area is a park like setting adjacent to the indoor stables; providing ample space for guests to watch and enjoy the celebration of your vows and attend your wedding reception. All offered amenities are included in the rental price, along with set up and take down. Guests are encouraged to add their own special touches such as pictures, decor, and flowers; but, we strive to provide a venue that is wedding ready. Tours are available by appointment. A deposit is required to hold your date. The final payment and proof of event rider insurance is due 30 days prior to your wedding. The site of Risley Landing Gardens was held by the Risley family for over 100 years. In 1983, it was donated to the Oak Grove Garden Club by Hugh G. Starkweather (the grandson of Jacob S. Risley) and William Starkweather. William was the son of Harvey Starkweather, a prominent legislator and educator. Mr. Starkweather wanted the site to be a memorial park in honor of his mother and sisters. A bronze plaque dedicated to them is implanted on the wall of the Landing.
