Ainsworth House, built in 1851 and set on over two acres of lush gardens, Ainsworth House & Gardens offers a beautiful, full-service wedding venue in Oregon City. With over 4,000 square feet of facilities and accommodations for up to 125 people, we provide an enchanting setting for both indoor and outdoor weddings and events year-round. The Pine Tree Garden

Timeless Beauty. Towering Pines. Unforgettable Moments.

Almost an acre in size, The Pine Tree Garden surrounds a nearly 200-year-old Ponderosa Pine, which towers over the grounds, stretching its branches to cover your wedding party. After the ceremony, cocktails and appetizers may be served on the lawn while music provides further ambiance. During this time, the wedding party can retreat for private or group photos near The House or in The Grove. You will then continue the festivities in our Reception Facility.

The Fireside Room

Warm Moments Begin in the Fireside Room

Indoor wedding ceremonies at the Ainsworth House & Gardens are performed in The Fireside Room. After the ceremony, the full group picture can be taken outside (weather permitting), and cocktails and appetizers can then be served in The Garden Room. During this time, the wedding party can retreat for private or group photos near The House or in The Grove while the venue and catering staff will reset The Conservatory and Fireside Rooms for dinner.

The Front Lawn

A grand entrance to your forever

The Main House makes a marvelously romantic backdrop for your ceremony, which will be celebrated on the main steps. You can walk along the historic brick walkway set beside your seated guests all the way to The House. Your reception dinner and dancing will be hosted in The Reception Facility, with appetizers and cocktails served on the side lawn. The Front Lawn has been a dream setting for many of our former guests.

The Grove

The magic of nature, the beauty of love.

A wedding in The Grove is an intimate choice, best suited for smaller groups. It’s just a short walk from the Garden Suite through a spinney of slender trees to a wrought-iron gazebo that can be draped in lights and flowers. It’s truly a magical setting! Your guests can gather closely around you and, under the gentle dappled light, hear your vows up close and personal.

The Reception Facility

Effortless elegance, inside and out

Full of natural light and always hospitable, regardless of the weather, our nearly 3,000-square-foot Reception Facility is used by all our events for dinner and dancing. With a maximum capacity of 125, Ainsworth House & Gardens includes a great selection of in-house linens, napkins, and table centerpieces as part of your booking. We will do all the setup and cleaning, as well as coordinate with you and your vendors on all the special décor items you might wish to incorporate.

The Pine Tree Garden

    A fabulous venue for your wedding!

    Brides: say “yes” to Ainsworth! This venue has it all, from gorgeous manicured lawns and gardens filled with all kinds of floral colors to a wooded trail through the gardens, a ceremony location to die for, and a modern reception space with the coolest dance floor! We love photographing weddings at Ainsworth and highly recommend working with John and Christie! They are so friendly, kind, and go above and beyond for their couples. If Ainsworth feels like the right fit for you, don’t hesitate, book with them. You won’t regret it!

    AMAZING VENUE!

    We had the most wonderful wedding at Ainsworth on July 9th 2026. The venue is STUNNING, the owners Christie and John are so kind, and our coordinator Elizabeth did absolutely amazing! Everything was perfect. We cannot recommend Ainsworth House enough. They are so flexible with wedding size (we had a mini wedding with 34 people) and it was so helpful to have a day-of coordinator included. The pictures don't even do enough justice to how beautiful the space is, and there are so many gorgeous options for photos. Do yourself a favor and stop searching for a wedding venue - Ainsworth is it!

Yes, we have a 26-car parking lot as well as street parking.
Yes, our facility is wheelchair accessible. We also have a ramp at the front of the historic house to access the Groom's dressing room.
Your reservation includes seven hours from start to finish. Venue time may be added as well as extra set up time. Our staff will set up all the items we provide.
All our weddings include:  Seven hours on the day of your event  Day of Coordinator  Two planning meetings with your Ainsworth Wedding Coordinator  One hour for your coordinator-lead rehearsal  An elegant Garden Suite for your use throughout the booking  Captain’s Parlor for your use prior to the ceremony  Dining tables & chairs and ceremony chairs for up to 125 guests  Tablecloths and napkins  All dinnerware from our in-house selection  Dining table centerpieces and other décor items available  All the setup and cleanup of our provided resources  Use of gardens for Engagement or Save the Date photos (maximum of 2 hours)
Our venue is fully insured. We do require Liquor Liability insurance if you'll be serving alcohol. This will be supplied by all of our preferred caterers.
Cancellation Terms - More than 9 months out: Retainer is non-refundable; other payments not required. - 6–9 months out: No refund of payments made; Payment 2 still due. - Within 6 months: No refunds; Payment 3 still due, except for security deposit.
Our venue is located 22 miles south of Portland International Airport in Oregon City. Don't be surprised when you find our historic property nestled in a residential neighborhood!
