Drew had sent me an email a few weeks before the couples wedding with the reception timeline (a first) and kept me up-to-date with any last minute changes the day of. It is clear by working with Drew how much he loves his job and how much he cares about the couples he works with. He got the crowd going, the dance floor was always packed and he invited the couple up to DJ booth which was so fun for them and also amazing for pictures. “Justing was a fantastic DJ! We gave him a short list of must-plays then let him do the rest, and he was great at reading the room and playing what the people wanted. He took requests from guests if they fit the vibe and was totally okay saying no too which is exactly what we wanted. We even had some guests asking for his playlist before the night was over. He brought tons of speakers and lights, and even some wireless speakers to play the same music in multiple rooms, including outside on the deck for cocktail hour. Everything went off without a hitch. We also got the photo booth add-on which ended up getting a ton of use and people loved it. Sawyer was manning the booth and 5 stars to him as well!”

One of the highlights was when they split my father-daughter dance, playing a sweet song for the first half and then transitioning into our favorite upbeat song "All Star" by Smashmouth, which got the whole wedding up and dancing. We couldn't have asked for a better band to make our special day so memorable.The morning after so many guests came up to us raving about how fun they had dancing and singing. From the B52’s Love Shack, Zombie by Cranberries, to Chapelle Roan Pink Pony club- Business Time absolutely rocked it. Not to mention the acoustics for the ceremony made my husband cry. We gave DJ Shyne what we thought was an impossible challenge: blend pop hits, Spanish tunes, emo throwbacks, Disney jams, booty-shaking hip hop, and a long list of theme songs from our favorite TV shows and movies (everything from The White Lotus to Saw). On top of that, we added a handful of random, deeply personal songs you’d never expect at a wedding. What happened? Not only did he execute this perfectly, but he became the catalyst for a wedding that felt curated exactly to US—spinning a history of us both as individuals and our journey together woven into a seamless soundtrack. “What can I say about Jay besides "WOW". I had wonderful service from all of my vendors and still, I was blown away by the service given to us by Jay. Instead of just providing us with music on our wedding night, he made sure to build a relationship with us and cater every aspect of his services solely to us. Meeting with him made it feel like you were the only client he was working with and he really made you feel cared for and appreciated. He was wonderful during covid, working with us to move our date seamlessly, and met with us multiple times to create a custom first dance song, complete with private interviews with my husband and me that was a surprise to hear for both of our guests and us as a couple. People told us they teared up at our first dance and that it was the best first dance they had ever seen because of the wonderful work Jay did. He stepped up and performed duties that weren't even required of him, like making sure we stuck to our timeline and got announcements that needed to be made to our guests. Jay really carried to vibe of the party on his own by playing a wonderful mix of music for all age groups at my wedding and kept the dance floor full all night. “We hired Closing Time for our wedding band and they absolutely blew us away. Due to weather issues out of our control (including loss of electricity at the venue), the band was unfortunately unable to play live music for our ceremony and cocktail hour. However, they were able to quickly transition to prerecorded versions of our processional/recessional songs. Despite the power still being out for the first two hours of our reception, Closing Time delivered. They were incredibly professional throughout and the live music was absolutely phenomenal. Multiple guests came up to us throughout the night asking how we found them, as well as telling us this was the best wedding band they has heard. “We worked with Kevin Maldonado for our 11.17 ceremony and reception at the Granite Rose in Hampstead NH. Main Event was the recommended DJ service from our venue, and the matching process to put us with the rigth DJ was so easy. Once we met with Kevin, we had high hopes for our big day, and I am not exaggerating when I say that Kevin blew our hopes out of the water. Kevin helped with audio for our ceremony, before doing music and speeches at our cocktail hour and reception. “The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

Odd layout, limited space, not exactly band-friendly. They didn’t blink. The amount of people who came up to us through out the night to comment on the music was the most rewarding feeling, because I completely agreed! The combination of live acoustic, with dj is so unique, stood out to everyone, and was worth every penny. The planning process with them was so easy, and they even put my mind at ease by just sharing their insights, while also listening to what we wanted. Joseph perform our first dance song live, which was my favorite part- it wasn’t your typical “slow” song, but we loved it anyways and he really executed it beautifully. We were all in awe of the whole experience. I ALMOST didn’t have them incorporate the live sing a long at the end, but after they described the vibe on our last call I changed my mind and let me say- I’m so glad they did it. One of my friends told me they felt like they were at a concert. We wish we could relive that night over and over again. I really can’t thank Joseph and Erika enough for taking such great care of this experience and creating the night of our dreams!!”

My wedding was beautiful and these guys make sure everything is perfect. They brought lighting that set the mood perfectly. I would hire them over and over again. They are crowd pleasers and really know how to engage and work a room to get people moving. They have a book they threw together over time as DJs and let me say I wouldn’t have been able to survive without that wedding music survival bible!
