"I am an eclectic wedding violinist based in the Worcester-Boston area of Massachusetts. I perform for wedding ceremonies, cocktail hours, dinner receptions, first dances, and dance receptions. I enjoy learning my clients' favorite songs so that their wedding day feels extra special. I am able to play a variety of different music genres (top 100 hits, music from Bridgerton, hip hop, R&B, EDM, rock, big band, & classical) and can perform on my electric violin with your DJ for your reception. I am able to provide my own Bose sound system which can be battery-operated for outdoor areas."

    I would hire Kat over and over again

    The Violin Kat was an amazing addition to our wedding day. From the very first interaction, her communication style was easy, flexible, and understanding. She worked with us to incorporate a special song that was important to my fiancé and his family, even though it was slightly different from her standard repertoire. The quality of her work was truly heartfelt, professional, and beautiful - she helped create the classy, romantic, and elegant vibe we were going for perfectly. We couldn't have asked for a better violinist to set the tone for our special day.

    Not Your Typical Ceremony Musician

    Kathryn is my GO TO live musician for all of my couples. She's a super talented violinist and an absolute dream to work with. So accomodating, professional, organized, and kind. It's so much fun to see the guests enjoy her music - especially when she plays more modern music that people aren't typically used to hearing on the violin. She's the perfect fit for a sweet and romantic ceremony followed by a lively and upbeat cocktail hour. She's even played full receptions at some of my events! I highly recommend working with Kathryn!

My favorite genres of music to perform are Classical, Classic Rock, Pop, Jazz, and Hip-Hop, but I enjoy the challenge of learning new songs requested by my clients that I've never played before. I often play my violin with backtracks to "fill out" the sound (see videos on my profile for a better idea of my style). I am careful to choose only the best sounding backtracks for my music.

I am able to provide 2 floor lights that have different settings (color choices, a strobe light setting, etc.)
I calculate my travel fee based on the total mileage to and from Central MA (where I am located). I do not have a break-down fee.
