“Sam was an AMAZING day of coordinator for our wedding, it would not have gone as smooth without her help. She is a wedding day essential! Booking with Simon was super easy, they are easily reachable by email. The food was great and everyone loved the tiramisu we had picked out for dessert. We also hired our DJ, Alex, through them and he was so fun and hyped everyone up on the dancefloor. Our bartender was even able to recognize everyones drink orders by the end of the night! From the beginning of our planning we knew we wanted delicious food for our guests and Andrea and her team delivered! She was involved in our planning process early, participated in video chats to figure out our requests and she went out to see the venue herself to make sure the plan was a good fit for our event. We received many compliments from our guests about the food (the spam musubi appetizers were a particular hit along with the kalbi entree) and no one left hungry! On the day itself we had great servers during set up and serving in the event, very professional and helpful throughout. We recommend anyone planning a big event to consider bringing in the delicious food from Chris' Ono Grinds”

OVD catered our wedding and served us possibly the best chicken I’ve ever had in my life, along with every other food item that night. Lisa was our primary contact and she was very easy to work with from the beginning. Communication was quick, clear and straightforward, which made the planning process simple. Their team took care of the full setup including tables, chairs and the general layout, so we did not have to deal with any of the logistics. Everything arrived on schedule and was arranged exactly the way we had discussed beforehand. The food was very good, there was plenty for everyone and the pricing felt reasonable considering the size of the group and the amount of work involved. The staff was professional but also relaxed, which fit the casual reunion atmosphere perfectly. They were attentive when needed but never in the way. “We could not have been happier with the service we received from Buckboard as the catering provider for our wedding. Right from the initial meeting Ashley, (Buckboard’s sales manager) gave us a personalized introduction and very friendly tasting. It was clear from this initial interaction that she cared more about our experience and less about just becoming one of their customers. The food was/is absolutely delicious. Every single item was cooked perfectly, and it was clear from the initial tasting that their chefs and cooks take genuine pride in cooking high quality meals that do not come off as “mass produced” like a number of other caterers in the area. We have lost count of the number of guests who told us during and after the meal that it was by far the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding, and this is reflective of the company as a whole. Ashley and JP (the Chief Operating Officer) were both present during the planning process, and worked with us directly to determine a menu that would be both wonderful for the guests as well as within our budget. When dietary restrictions were presented, Ashley and her team made the accommodations easy and care free, and provided options that were also delicious. She and her staff were so friendly and professional on the day-of that a number of guests went out of their way to comment on the crew. We cannot rave enough about the services we received from Buckboard Catering. To make matters better they also operate a full-time restaurant in El Cajon, which we plan on frequenting regularly when visiting San Diego.
