I love carefree messy in between moments, photographing my daily life on polaroids and film. I've lived a lot of places (Arizona, Arkansas, and Puerto Rico to name a few!) and have so many places that I treasure and feel at home.

My journey officially began with a box of old photographs from the 60s. I sat at my grandma’s kitchen table for hours listening to stories and connecting with my family in a way that wouldn’t have been possible without those old photographs. I realized that photographs are our legacy. In 10, 20, 50, or 80 years when we want to look back on the lives we lived, and the people we loved we will always turn to photographs. My ultimate goal as your photographer is to ensure that your family will have incredible photos to love an enjoy for generations to come.

The name Arrae (pronounced [uh-rey]) came from my first initial and my middle name, Rae, added an extra r and made a new word. You are probably assuming my about me section will have a story about how I always wanted to be a photographer, I came out of the womb holding a camera, but that couldn’t be me. I stumbled into it, literally. I had no plans to become a wedding photographer. I was either going to follow my dad’s path and go to dental school, or become a social worker. But a freshman in college decided to shoot a few photos for fun, and now over eight years and almost 200 weddings later, I could not imagine myself doing anything else. This is my dream job!
