St Johns Inn is located in Portland Oregon on a 1.25 acre former estate of a lumber baron with outstanding views of the Willamette River. The estate provides a secluded, rural feel while having all of the conveniences of the City. Enjoy watching ships pass by on the River with expansive views in every direction including the mountains, downtown skyline, many bridges and the backdrop of the stately mansion. Steeped in a century of history, The Baker Building in North Portland offers a unique and intimate wedding venue. From the exposed wooden rafters to the original tile work, our beautifully restored space blends historic charm with modern flexibility. The venue provides plenty of amenities including tables and can hold up to 100 seated guests. Enjoy the flexibility of our open vendor policy which allows you to make your special day truly yours. In-house beverage services available for all weddings. Suite B is our new intimate venue on the ground floor of the historic Baker Building with a beautifully restored, plant-filled interior. Originally built in 1911 as a silent movie theater and later a pharmacy, the room has been lovingly restored with art‑deco details and soft lighting. Suite B is available to rent for intimate weddings, rehearsal dinners, and other small gatherings. Can be rented in addition to the Baker Building ballroom for cocktail hour/ room flip.

The Vintage Grand Room, Clubhouse and Rooftop Patio are available for banquets, weddings, receptions, meetings and any other special event. The grand room is approximately 6000 sq ft of 1889 charm and can accommodate up to 250 guests. Original hardwood floors and beautiful brick give it a true vintage feel. The room is surrounded with white tree lighting, which provides a great ambiance. A bride room is located on the first floor of the Hotel Washington building, and can be added to any rental. The building also features an elevator which provides access to all three levels of the building.

Black-owned open floor studio with large windows and original exposed brick. The large windows allow a hefty amount of natural sunlight to fill the room. Good for photo shoots, exercise classes, small banquets, birthday parties, baby showers, launch parties, and meeting space. There is a kitchenette with access to counters and sink however, no refrigerator access will be permitted. Elevator access from the street to allow easy loading and unloading. This is your premier and intimate event studio.

The Sanctuary Hall is a stunning, historical landmark in the heart of Portland's Art District. Step back into time as you bask in the warm glow of historic stained glass and run your fingertips along the hand-carved 130 year old pews. The Hall's rounded and layered design allows for every wedding to feel like an intimate affair, be it seven people or 700. Beneath the ceremony room are many more multi-use spaces, including a Reception Hall that seats 150, a commercial kitchen, Ch,apel, Library, multiple dressing rooms. The venue is equipped with modern sound, lighting, and video capturing and live streaming equipment. We have a fully functional pipe organ, one of the largest in Oregon, and a 7' Steinway Grand piano at your disposal. Rented to one group at a time, this 1888 historic landmark mansion in Astoria is the perfect backdrop of Gilded-Age opulence for your destination wedding or elopement! This freshly-updated Queen Anne Victorian treasure features soaring ceilings that set off ample entertaining spaces, accented with ornate old-growth moldings and new luxe designer furnishings. The sweeping grounds overlook the Columbia River making it an idyllic setting for an outdoor ceremony and/or wedding photography! We only host one event a day and with 10-hour blocks of time, you will have more than enough time to set up, get ready, and host your event! Clean-up at the end of the night is a breeze, just pack out what you brought in, throw your garbage away, and we'll do the rest! After twelve wonderful and unforgettable years, the time has come for a new chapter. Gray Gables Estate will officially close its doors on December 31, 2026. While our venue will be closing, our passion for creating memorable events will continue. Gray Gables Events will remain in operation, offering event coordination, select off-site catering, and, potentially, a new venue location in the future. This transition also allows us the opportunity to spend more time with our family while continuing to do what we love. As we reflect on the past twelve years, our hearts are full of gratitude.
