“I reached out to Kat for help with the design aspect of our wedding. She put together an incredible design deck and handled all of our decor, rentals, stationary, signage, etc. To say that it was a weight off our shoulders is an understatement. “If you gave me a million characters in this text box I still wouldn't be able to express just how grateful I am to Merida and her team. My husband and I have been together for over two decades and had already spent an enormous amount of time thinking about our wedding over the years, but after coming out as a trans man in 2019, I quickly realized that planning a gay wedding would involve additional challenges I hadn't considered. The thought of reaching out to vendors and getting misgendered as the "bride" over and over was an incredibly anxiety-inducing prospect. I knew we needed help from someone who understood our situation and would ensure we were both treated respectfully by an incredibly cis-heteronormative industry. From the moment I engaged her, about a year before our wedding date, I knew that I'd made the right call. As a member of the community herself, Merida was my biggest advocate and fiercest champion. Her zero-tolerance policy of anyone who showed signs of homo/transphobia weeded out any problematic businesses and in just a few months she was able to book us an almost entirely queer team of vendors, all of whom did a spectacular job on the big day. I've never been so thankful to have someone like her in my corner. Each and every call with Merida was an absolute delight. Not only is she an incredible wedding/event planner, but she is one of the most delightful people I've ever had the pleasure to meet. She is brilliant, thoughtful, and hilarious, putting you instantly at ease. No matter how nerdy or esoteric our ideas, Merida was here for it and helped us bring every little detail to life. Anytime I said the words "I know this is kind of crazy but could we possibly..." she would listen attentively, smile, and reply with "We can do that." Week after week things I thought would be impossible came together and fell perfectly into place. On the day of the event (04/07/24), Merida and her team were like a SpecialOps team, complete with a full arsenal of emergency supplies the likes of which you've never seen. She kept us on schedule but never rushed us, leaving time for spontaneity; for every minor question or concern she had a plan, not one detail was overlooked. The wedding itself was absolutely perfect. I cannot stress this enough. It was PERFECT. It was everything my husband and I had ever dreamed of since we were 15 years old. Thanks to Merida there was not a single thing we had to compromise on for the sake of someone else, there was not a single bad vibe, it was truly the most beautiful, entertaining, and triumphant celebration of queer love any of us had ever experienced. I was genuinely concerned my face would break from smiling with euphoria all day. It's been over a month now and I'm getting emotional all over again just writing this review. I never thought I would be able to be my whole entire self on my wedding day. Thank you, Merida for turning my gay little anime prince dreams into reality. If you're queer, a huge nerd, or just someone who marches to the beat of their own drum, please hire Merida. “Next to marrying each other, hiring DPNAK was by far the BEST wedding decision we made. My wedding was 2 months ago, and as I reflect on the planning process and the wedding weekend itself, I can assuredly say Danielle was worth every penny and then some. I do not know how anyone could stay sane during the planning process or enjoy a seamless wedding day without someone like Danielle. I'm a pretty type B person who has never utilized a calendar/planner/spreadsheet in my life, and I'm also a surgical resident with crazy hours and an unpredictable schedule. EVERY TYPE B BRIDE NEEDS A DPNAK! While her organizational abilities and attention to detail are very impressive, she won't judge you or get frustrated if your own organization skills aren't as strong. There were times when it would take days or weeks for us to respond to an email, and occasionally we would get behind schedule with various planning tasks (our own fault not Danielle's), and instead of getting frustrated with us, she would just send gentle reminders and tips on how to prioritize what we needed to accomplish. DPNAK is also very good at sharing her own opinions/experience-based recommendations without forcing them on you or making you feel dumb if you choose something else. We ultimately did go with Danielle's suggestions 90% of the time, but for the couple of things we did "our way," she happily supported us and helped us execute them perfectly. Danielle was amazing when it came to vendor and venue communication, and multiple vendors commented on how helpful, thorough, and professional all of her communication was. At the rehearsal and on the wedding day, her communication style was the perfect blend of friendly/gentle/funny and firm/assertive. She can seamlessly capture the attention/respect of a room full of people while maintaining a sense of peace/positivity that never made it feel like we were being "bossed around" etc. NOTHING WENT WRONG on my wedding day -- I REPEAT -- NOTHING WENT WRONG!!!!??? Some of that is obviously good luck, but I really truly believe a TON of that is because of the DPNAK team. Everyone warns you that your wedding day will be chaotic or that something will go wrong and you're going to be an anxious mess etc. etc. but we truly had a sense of peace and calmness the entire day knowing that everything would flow seamlessly because of Danielle. Danielle also told us that if anything did go wrong or needed last-minute changes, her team would try to handle it without bothering us, and being protected from any day-of decision-making or damage control was amazing. This is the longest review I have ever written, and I could truly write for ages about our amazing experience with Danielle. Our parents and multiple members of the wedding party commented on how smoothly she ran the wedding weekend and how natural it all seemed for her -- Danielle definitely found her calling. On the wedding day, we tipped Danielle and her team per the standard wedding vendor tip protocols, but we were so blown away by their services that I requested the option to send an additional tip weeks later -- I knew DPNAK was the right choice as soon as our first Zoom meeting ended, and I knew she was amazing throughout the planning process, but her true value really revealed itself on the wedding day and I never could have predicted just how precious her services would be. She is worth every penny and more. Love and miss you DPNAK!!”

We approached her in the fall with the crazy idea to throw a music festival wedding at the end of June at a riverside park- where we needed her to coordinate 3 bands AND bring in everything from restroom trailers to a food truck to mobile bartending. Not only did she rise to the challenge, but the day was more perfect than we could have ever imagined. She had a plan (and back-up plan!) for everything, and she coordinated with no less than 15 vendors to make sure that we didn’t have to worry about a thing during the wedding. “Lauren and Nicole and the rest of the SB team are incredibly. As a type A, detail oriented bride (god bless SB for putting up with me), you absolutely need someone you can trust to help you run your day. Our wedding was at Cairnwood Estate, and between all the vendors, transportation, the church ceremony, I cannot imagine my day without Nicole. I had several calls and meetings leading up the day with Lauren, Nicole, and team, and by the week of the wedding I was feeling relaxed and like there was truly nothing left for me to worry about. So many little things come up with a wedding day, and having someone there day of that you trust to handle the vendors, timelines, hiccups is a god send. As someone who was hesitant to hire any planning / coordination services, I can confidently say I was wrong, I cannot imagine my day without them. I was able to unplug, relax, and live the day I worked so hard to plan vs worry about every little thing or have a family member do it. Nicole was with us day of and she is seriously the best, it was such a gift to know that if something came up Nicole would handle it and I didn’t have to worry. She was kind, supportive, ran the entire day. Mike and I, our family & bridal party had so much fun with Nicole. Between vendor coordination, timeline creation and execution, decor set up, getting met into all my dresses, telling everyone where to be all day, coordinating the rehearsal, cueing ceremony, and so much more. Weddings are never going to be 100% perfect, but with something blue Nicole we were pretty darn close!! We had our dream day, and we can’t thank SB or recommend them enough. “We booked Ivory House Events just a few weeks prior to our wedding to help us with finalizing our wedding timeline and day-of coordination. Despite being thrown into the mix so late in the planning process, the team at Ivory House immediately understood our vision and provided many insightful suggestions to help us realize our ideal wedding day. They were very organized and available to meet several times in the days leading up to the wedding. As for the wedding day itself, we couldn't have pulled off our ceremony and reception the way we wanted without the coordination team of Steph, Mel, and Katie from Ivory House. From 7am in the morning to 10pm in the evening they were there with us every step of the way. In the morning, we had a very intricate sequence of ceremony events on a tight time schedule; the Ivory House team made sure everyone knew where to go and when and assisted our decorator, DJ, photographer, and caterer in getting everything set up appropriately. In the evening, they facilitated a picture-perfect reception entrance. Throughout the entire day, they made sure we had everything we needed and even made sure we went home with lots of extra food and desserts we didn't have a chance to eat during the wedding. They handled the many challenges that cropped up during the day with grace and insulated us from much of the chaos; to this day, I'm sure we're only aware of a fraction of the problems they solved for us. In short, the Ivory House team was truly lovely to work with and incredibly effective at their mission of making our wedding dreams come true.”

“They are amazing and they are cheerleaders just look at the photos. Loved them all. I was an air head on my wedding day and it was perfectly fine because there were no issues at least that I knew of! My day has two hiccups. One because of me LOL and the second was because of the venue which was super minor but noticeable. They (the venue) missed the champagne toast. Other than that flawless!! Best day of my life.
