I’m Tara, owner and lead manager of Engaged Event Management. I am a naturally-curly, red-headed, music loving, list making guru as a well as a wife to an IT ninja and a momma to two vivacious little girls. On top of my years of experience working as an event manager I also hold a BS in business as well as a professional certification in wedding planning and consulting from Temple University. I have close to 10 years of experience in this wild and crazy wedding industry that I love.

I absolutely love what I do and we are total team players come your wedding day! We go above and beyond for our wedding couples and fellow wedding pros too! My passion for bringing people together and my love of the logistics behind what that entails has been present throughout my entire life. I am ecstatic to have found my niche in event management, and I cannot wait to serve you.

Our name says it all! We specialize in event management and are completely engaged to your event! We take the stress out of those final details leading up to your wedding day allowing you to kick back and enjoy the last bit of planning and then feel completely relaxed and at ease on the big day! From rehearsal assistance to set up and breakdown and everything in between that happens on your wedding day - we got you!

With micro weddings becoming all the rage and honestly we hope they stay as we just adore them! But just because the wedding guest count isn't in the triple digits doesn't mean there isn't still a boat load of planning and logistics to think about! We are absolutely here help make sure everything is executed exactly the way you have been dreaming!

    I am so glad that my daughter and I hired Tara of Engaged Events as our wedding planner, and I am especially happy that we went with the medium support package. Life happens, and we needed to rely on Tara a lot more than anticipated. There was a lot of behind the scenes discussions with the vendors so that I didn’t have to answer a lot of questions with “I don’t know yet.” Tara would check in with my daughter and me regularly to go over our remaining to-do lists, helping us think of everything. And when I couldn’t find a source for table lamps, she had one that was perfect. She exuded professionalism and was patience as we fell behind on timelines, and she talked this Mother of the Bride off the ledge at least twice. All of her hard work paid off the day of the wedding. If there were any hiccups, I never saw them and no one has told me. Usually one thing or another goes awry, and as long as everyone is still speaking at the end of the night, it becomes a funny memory. No such incidents occurred—I don’t think they would dare! My daughter and her husband had a perfect day, the guests were moved by the ceremony and refreshed by the fun of the reception. And I, the main hostess, was relaxed. One final word about why I am so happy we chose Tara. She has seen so much, she was able to tell us the pros and cons of our options, what was in style and what was so passé my grandmother would be appalled. Free online articles, often written by compiling other free online articles, just aren’t reliable or are too vague to be useful. Hiring Engaged Events was my gift to myself for this wedding, and probably the best decision I made.

    Working with Tara was the best decision Shane and I made. Her team came highly recommended by Manayunk Brewery. Tara made the time to be on calls with vendors, ensuring all details were ironed out, which was so helpful because she asked the questions we had no idea to ask. Hands down hiring having Tara for our wedding made the experience 100x easier and allowed for everyone to have an amazing wedding experience. Our wedding weekend 100% stress free because of Tara and her team.

    Tara and her team are nothing short of incredible. We approached her in the fall with the crazy idea to throw a music festival wedding at the end of June at a riverside park- where we needed her to coordinate 3 bands AND bring in everything from restroom trailers to a food truck to mobile bartending. Not only did she rise to the challenge, but the day was more perfect than we could have ever imagined. She had a plan (and back-up plan!) for everything, and she coordinated with no less than 15 vendors to make sure that we didn’t have to worry about a thing during the wedding. She had a ton of local vendor suggestions, as well, for everything from flowers to misting fans. On top of that, she is a truly lovely human who was a JOY to work with. Many wedding guests even commented to me on how wonderful she is! If you are looking for the perfect balance of love and logistics- you will be thrilled with Engaged Event Management!

    Tara made our day-of seamless!!! Our wedding couldn’t have been more perfect. She touched based with all of vendors leading up to the big day, so we didn’t have to. She kept us on track in our planning and reminded us of our priorities. With her on our team, we didn’t have to worry about dozens of details that otherwise would have been on our minds, e.g., putting out the guest book and other special items, making sure important objects were saved for us (and not thrown away) at the end of the night. She looked out for us— grabbing water, lipgloss, etc. She was also a big cheerleader! She has a bright smile and was a big source of encouragement. We’re grateful to have had Tara on our team.
