From our first conversation with Rina from Shining Time about a year ago from today, I am more than happy with my choice. Rina communicated clearly through all email, Zoom, and text, making it easy to stay connected throughout the planning process. What impressed me the most was her attention to detail. She delicately integrated all my diy items, (Place Card, party favor bags, bar sign, farewell candy), in an aesthetic way into the wedding. Even though the DIY items were not high value items, but my mom and I spent a lot of time working on it. The way she elegantly placed every item, elevating the whole venue look which I didn't know was possible, I really appreciated that. Rina and her team were genuinely warm and welcoming to our entire family. We couldn't have asked for better partners to work with, and we'd recommend them to any couple looking for a planner who goes above and beyond.

Events are a part of everyone’s lives. Weddings in particular are an important event that many of us get to experience hosting just one time in our life. A wedding is also widely known as one of the most stressful days of your life – that’s where we come in. Between the two of us we have planned over 185 weddings from the day after engagement all the way to closing the car door as the couple leaves for their honeymoon.

Behind the most incredible day of our lives was the most amazing wedding planner, Megan, making it all happen. Since the day we booked her, she scheduled meetings, contacted vendors, provided advice and ideas, kept us organized, created our invitations, answered all of our questions, and much more. Then come wedding day, she brought our entire vision to life. She checked in on us throughout the day, meticulously placed every detail, brought us drinks during photos, and ultimately became an incredible friend through the entire process. Our day-of coordinators, Liz and Blair, were absolute stars. They just got us. Throughout the planning process, they provided steady guidance, answered every question, and—when we had concerns about potential issues with other vendors—gave us thoughtful, grounded advice and real encouragement. As we approached the wedding, Liz and Blair stepped in to manage the scheduling of the countless moving parts of our wedding day. They helped address issues before they became problems, and resolved most problems before they became crises. Their communication and stress management were unparalleled. They kept us informed whenever we needed to know something and shielded us from anything we didn’t need to be bothered with. I referred back to Blair’s meticulously documented recap emails from our planning meetings so many times during planning - no idea how anything would have gotten done without those! We always felt like they were firmly on our team. Their presence throughout those final weeks kept us calm and confident… despite the best attempts of some of our vendors and family! And then the wedding day itself… flawless. Truly flawless. They executed the day with precision, grace, and warmth. They handled countless details behind the scenes so seamlessly that we were able to be fully present and enjoy every moment of our big day. At one point during dinner, I (the bride) leaned over to my mom to ask if she had floss because I had food stuck in my teeth, and before I could finish my sentence, Liz promptly whisked me away to a back room where I found myself suddenly in front of a mirror with a toothpick in hand! The level of support and preparation during the pre-wedding stages was above and beyond what we ever expected. Our families and friends are still raving about how fantastic they were on the day-of. We also decided to add on content creation with Teri late in the process, and we are SO glad we did. She was amazing—funny, kind, unobtrusive, and everywhere at once without ever feeling like a camera was in our faces. A couple of days after the wedding, we received our raw video dump, and it is worth every single penny. I’ve spent hours reliving the day through all the behind-the-scenes moments she captured with our guests, family, and wedding party. She didn’t miss a thing. We can’t wait to see the short-form content she creates, but honestly, the raw footage alone already exceeded our hopes. We are genuinely obsessed with this team. The Coordinated Collective is thoughtful, professional, communicative, creative, and deeply committed to making your wedding experience exceptional from beginning to end. I hired Johnnie to plan a baby shower for my best friend. She was so instrumental when it came to bringing my vision to reality and helped elevate my vision further with her ideas and resources. She was able to source everything that we needed, with a mix of cost-effective party elements and high-end party elements where it counted. She also is an extremely talented floral designer, so it was nice to not have to outsource another vendor for that. The day of, she was at the venue early to make sure everything was set-up perfectly, then broke down/cleaned up everything when we were done with the luncheon. Overall, she took a huge load off my shoulders when it came to everything that needed to be sourced and set-up for this event - I was very much able to enjoy the party and be a proper host, and didn't have to spend my nights and weekends with coordination leading up to the event.

Lissa and her team was absolutely wonderful from the initial contact up to the end of our wedding day! No matter what kind of wedding you're having, she will make you and your partner feel like you have all of her attention as the most important couple. Throughout the whole process, she was so professional and supportive, even with not as traditional ideas. She had such a quick response time, usually within a day, or a couple hours, and sometimes even sooner! Her attention to detail in making my timeline was also amazing and I felt that we were able to have the whole day planned to the dot before the big day. On the wedding day, she made sure everything ran so smoothly and we were not stressed out at all! We had some small hiccups with the layouts that our venue had set up, but a quick word from Lissa had them fixing the issue. She's the perfect amount of assertiveness, professionalism, and friendliness with everyone, including the guests. The largest thing that stood out to us was how much all of our other vendors loved Lissa and working with her, and we could see it throughout the day. Our venue had restrictions such as a short setup window, but Lissa communicated with them and navigated the situation very well to make everything go smoothly. Even though we had a venue management person for the day of, it was nothing compared to working with someone that truly focuses on you and your needs. Working with Bre was easily one of the best vendor choices we made while wedding planning. Our wedding ceremony became a kind of “pop-up” style event and Bre rolled with every decision and last minute detail we threw at her. With her day-of coordination package, we were able to have 2 pre wedding meetings and a rehearsal the day before. I went into the rehearsal feeling nervous about how things would go and left feeling so reassured and excited! The day of the wedding Bre checked in with me and made sure things were running smoothly. I felt so calm and confident walking up to the venue knowing Bre was in charge and bringing our vision to life! The whole day went beautifully and I know it’s because Bre was working her magic behind the scenes. She stayed until the last moment of clean up and made sure all our personal items and gifts made it home with us. I have worked with a ton of planners over my 20 years as a wedding photographer and by far Island Creek Events is one of THE best. Communication is clear and response times are lighting fast. I really loved the timeline platform they use, which is updated in real time. Katharine and Naomi are calm during the fast paced wedding day and have hawk eyes for attention to detail. Execution of the day was flawless and we had a great time as well. 10/10 highly recommend and I can't wait to work with them again!

I genuinely do not even know where to begin when it comes to Noelle because there are not enough words to explain how incredible she is. From the VERY beginning of my wedding planning process over a year ago, she handled absolutely everything and more. Any thought, question, idea, concern, crash out, or micromanaging moment I had (and trust me… there were MANY), I could text or call her at literally any time, and she was always there. Not once did she ever make me feel annoying, dramatic, or “too much.” Instead, she made me feel heard, understood, supported, and excited every single step of the way. What makes Noelle so special is that she doesn’t just “plan weddings.” She genuinely takes your vision and transforms it into something bigger and more beautiful than you could have even imagined for yourself. The ideas I had in my head for my wedding somehow came to life TIMES TEN. Every tiny detail was perfected. She thought of things before I even had to ask. She guided me through every decision while still making me feel like the wedding truly reflected me and my husband. And the professionalism? Insane. The organization? Insane. The patience? Saint level. She worked with my budget and constantly gave me options to still achieve the luxury, elegant look I wanted without making me feel pressured to spend beyond my means. She found almost all of my vendors, and every single one of them was phenomenal. The amount of compliments I still receive from guests weeks and months later about how beautiful, organized, and seamless my wedding was honestly speaks for itself. But what REALLY blew me away was wedding day itself. When I tell you I did not have a single worry in the world, I mean it. Noelle and her team handled EVERYTHING. She was genuinely a rockstar from beginning to end. At one point she literally did my late night McDonald’s run herself while her assistants stayed behind making sure me, my bridal party, and my family had everything we needed. Who does that?! That level of care is so rare. She treated my wedding like it was just as important to her as it was to me. Not only did she become my wedding planner, but over this past year she truly became someone so special to me and my family. My family and friends could not stop complimenting her professionalism, kindness, work ethic, and calming presence. I literally had my mom’s friends texting me asking for her information because they were so blown away by her. Noelle made wedding planning FUN. She made it exciting instead of stressful. Honestly, she makes me want to plan another wedding tomorrow just to work with her again. I’m truly going to miss our hours-long meetings spent perfecting every little detail because it all paid off in the most unbelievable way. I can confidently say my wedding would NOT have been what it was without her. She gave me the wedding of my dreams and more, and I will forever be grateful that I trusted her to guide me through one of the biggest moments of my life. I truly believe one day I’ll see her planning celebrity weddings because her talent is genuinely on that level. Thank you for everything, Noelle. I would choose you over and over and over again.

Sarah and the rest of the Events by Rose team were the MVPs of our wedding planning process. From the start Sarah took time to get to know us as a couple, to ensure our wedding day reflected who we are. Sarah was always 10 steps ahead, thinking about every little detail of our special day. Her organization was extremely impressive to see first hand. Even the vendors we spoke with face-to-face raved about her organization, professionalism, and how easy it is to work with her. I think it speaks volumes that everyone she interacts with (clients and vendors alike) love to work with her. She is outstanding at balancing all the moving parts of a wedding with ease, and always made sure we felt comfortable with every step of the process. Sarah always took the time to help us finetune even the smallest of details, making sure the day would include everything we wanted. So many of our friends have said the wedding process was one of the most stressful times in their lives, but we did not have that experience at all and this is hugely attributed to Sarah and her team. The experience was enjoyable and exciting, and we never once found ourselves overwhelmed. We would have never been able to make it to our wedding day while still having fun, if we didn’t have Sarah leading our team. On the day of our wedding, Sarah and her team were OUTSTANDING! We felt cared for by each member of the team and our guests felt the entire day flowed perfectly, all thanks to Sarah. Every small detail was planned out and went exactly as planned. Sarah went above and beyond, making sure we had everything we needed, all while managing our vendors and guests.
