“The best decision you can make for your wedding (besides your soon to be spouse!) is to hire Hector. We bought one of the packages with music, lights, and photo booth. All I heard throughout the night was “I love every song!” Or “this is my favorite song!” I was worried that no one would be dancing and the floor was packed all night. We didn’t want the dancing to end. Not to mention that the photos from the photo booth were amazing, lots of great props. I had no idea how weddings work - schedule, timetables, etc. Hector patiently explained what should be done when, helped with music selections for cocktail hour and dinner, kept us on schedule all night, and overall was a really fun addition to the party. His online system is really easy to use. Also, I felt that he went above and beyond the call of DJ, seeing as my dress caught on the door as I’m about to walk down the aisle and have no hands free. He was there fixing it before anyone could notice what happened. He handled every curve ball With ease and minimal stress for me - like changing dates due to Covid, caterers setting up tables where the photo booth was to go, forecast of pouring rain for our outdoor wedding, etc etc. I was stressed out enough and I can’t describe how helpful it was to be working with someone who minimized stressful situations or took care of things without me even knowing about them. The team was professional, great at communication, very kind and professional, and they helped make our day absolutely perfect! Jeff, our DJ kept the dance floor alive ALL NIGHT!! When the music had to stop at the end of the night, the dance floor was still completely full and no one wanted it to end. He did a great job announcing the events of the night, made sure that our ceremony music was perfect, and he stuck to our wedding playlist with the exception for a couple guest requests (which we were happy to allow). We were so happy and thankful to have Jeff there! Sie, our videographer also did a wonderful job! We have not yet received our video as our wedding was less than 2 weeks ago, but I already know it is going to be amazing. He was so great with communication, was prompt with his timing, and he even set up a second camera for guests to break away and give us well wishes for our marriage, which I'm so excited to watch back. He was very professional and wonderful to work with. We decided to add videography at the last minute because we thought we might regret not having it, and I am SO happy we asked Jim at Direct Entertainment if they had someone available for our day just a month before, and they did!! Jim, the coordinator at Direct Entertainment frequently checked in with us, asked us questions about ourselves, and genuinely made us feel like he cared about us and our special day. He was great to work with leading up to being assigned our designated DJ and videographer, and even after, he checked in to make sure we were happy and that all of the planning was going well. Overall, we would 1000% recommend Direct Entertainment for any wedding entertainment needs! “Jesse was amazing at our wedding and we cannot recommend his service more. He was incredibly professional and responsive over email, and respected our music requests. When the wedding day came around, he kept our guests entertained during cocktail hour and transitioned seamlessly to our dinner service. Further, when he discovered there was an antique piano in our venue (which we didn't mention to him since the venue told us it wasn't tuned or working), he asked permission to get it running and used it instead of his keyboard. This made for even better ambiance and photos and we were very impressed at how quickly he adapted. “When we first started looking at DJ’s and music for our wedding, I originally wanted a violinist and/or cellist. I met with one business, they were late and unprofessional but the price seemed reasonable for two musicians. That same night we met with Kenny and the difference was substantial. Kenny was on time, had a presentation ready to go, was incredibly professional, and highly personable. We met several times throughout the planning process and felt very comfortable with him. He’s so down to earth and really lets you know he is there for you, not anyone else. Kenny is worth every single cent, he was our favorite wedding vendor. The communication was impeccable. We did not have a wedding planner, with my type A personality and Kenny’s expertise, we stayed perfectly on time, announcements were seamless, and it was truly such a great day. At the end of the reception, day of, I asked to dedicate a song to my husband (“Shout” #gobills) and at first Kenny thought he didn’t have it. But guess what… we ended the wedding with our closest friends singing and cheering on our Buffalo Bills. It was a moment we will never forget, all thanks to Kenny. Music has been the center of my life for as long as I can remember. “John is an amazing DJ . Having him from the moment we chose him to the day of our wedding having the monthly check ins really helped make the process easier. One thing we really loved is he played all our request. He worked around our schedule, using video chat to finalize everything was great ! He has his own website accommodated to you where you can add any music you want through YouTube etc worked out well with our wide variety of genres our guests liked. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ and person to help make our day special. You will not be disappointed ! “Naked Soul (led by Tony and Tom Perrone) absolutely ROCKED at our wedding! Tons of friends and family told us during and afterwards that they were the best wedding band they'd seen, and we might be biased, but we agree wholeheartedly. They were also pretty great to work with, and as a result music was one of the least stressful parts of planning and one of the best memories of the event. The planning process was extremely professional — we had a few calls with Tony to talk over the vibe we were going for in the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dance floor. They sent over a list of a couple hundred songs in their repertoire and we picked 20 or so to anchor their idea of what we were looking for and selected our processionals, recessional, first dance, and parent-child dances. Our first dance was not on their list but they learned it and killed it in their performance. Our venue was a little non-traditional (relatively small room for the dance floorband) and we weren't sure that a full band was going to work in the space, but Tony put us at ease and pulled it off amazingly. One of the points Tony made in the run-up was that the songs we were picking were recommendations, not a set list. The band was going to follow the vibe and play more of whatever style was working with the crowd. This made it so much easier for us to pick songs, and in the end they played a lot of stuff that wasn't in our pics but went over better than we could have dreamed. I never thought I'd say that the best songs at my wedding were from the Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, and Black Eyed Peas. They knew their audience and the place went wild when they played Everybody (Backstreet's Back). The range of songs that a 10-piece band with a full array of vocalists can pull off is wild. Anyway, 10/10, would book again. If you're in the New York area and looking for a party we can't recommend Perrone Bros/Naked Soul highly enough. Bonus, these pics were taken by Tony and posted to their Instagram after the event.”

“If you are currently wedding planning and debating between the elegance of live musicians or the versatility of a DJ, stop looking and hire Justin and Skylark Music immediately. Working with Justin was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our big day. With Skylark, we effectively "had our cake and ate it too." We were initially torn because we wanted the romantic atmosphere of live instruments, but we also wanted a high-energy party with our specific favorite songs (which a band is often limited by). Plus, full bands are insanely expensive. Justin offered the perfect hybrid solution. We were able to have a stunning guitar, violin, and cello trio for our ceremony and cocktail hour, and then transition to Justin DJing the reception. It was the best of both worlds—we saved on the cost of a 10-piece band but sacrificed absolutely nothing in terms of quality or vibe. Beyond the music itself, Justin’s professionalism is unmatched. He walked us through every step of the planning process. But the true test of a vendor is how they handle stress. A couple of months before our wedding, our venue suddenly updated their outdoor music guidelines. We were in a total panic, thinking our ceremony plans were ruined. We let Justin know, and he responded immediately with a calm, "can-do" attitude. He adjusted the instrumentation to meet the new rules quickly and sorted it out without us having to lift a finger. He also went above and beyond to personalize the evening. We have a close friend who is a singer, and we wanted her to perform a couple of songs during the reception. Justin didn't hesitate; he coordinated directly with her to ensure the audio levels were perfect and the logistics were seamless. It ended up being such a special moment, and Justin made it happen effortlessly. And then, there was the party. Justin transitioned to MC/DJ duties and read the crowd perfectly. Because we chose the DJ route for the reception, we got to hear the original versions of all our favorite tracks. The dance floor was absolutely wild all night long. The energy was so high that at one point, while we were taking portraits outside, our photographer actually stopped and told us, “There is literally a rave going on inside.” From the elegant strings and the special guest performance to the absolute rager at the end, Justin executed everything perfectly. “My wife and I had Lou DJ our upstate wedding and it was more than we could have dreamed of. From the beginning, he was nothing but professional. He met with us multiple times prior to the event to go over music selection, flow of the ceremony day etc. His website was very easy to use and allowed us to have a large role in our music selection for the day, even for the reception dance portion. Everything was reviewed at least 3 times to ensure there were no hiccups, and also to make sure we wouldn't have to worry about anything on the ceremony day. On the day, Lou came in very early to setup and his equipment was extremely unobtrusive and sounded amazing. From the ceremony to reception (and especially cocktail hour), the sound was fantastic and there was not a single hiccup (even with an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour!). His flow through the reception was so smooth - and as a former college radio DJ, his music choice to fill in the gaps between the 'must plays' we sent him were impeccable!!! If you have a big heart for music and want it to be the backbone of any great party while having one of the most professional guys out there - Lou is 100% your guy. Thanks again Lou!!!!”
